When I made this Tumblr account I swore I'd made a Tumblr before, but forgot about that.

Now after 2,5 years I rediscover my very first Tumblr account (also a Musa fanpage), which I thought had been a false memory or something. @musemythix

My dumb*ss did indeed forget about the account with only a one-letter difference in name. As well as my TikTok fan acc by the same name. It's cringe 2023 stuff but it kinda gets me emotional.

Some new compilations of old official art comprised almost entirely from S1-S3 (as it should!) and I kinda love them. Really great choice of artwork and you can see the different styles of the individual Winx back then. No question who my favourites are even when it just comes to their style!

Rewatching Winx Club with the dub I grew up with (Dutch Dub) is so wonderfully nostalgic. Even after many years, all characters' voices still sound so familiar and just right.

Should I try watching the Danish dub? Maybe? Danish voice acting generally isn't too great though... (In my humble opinion)

I finished The Boys a few days ago and I LOVED it. I love the concept, the writing, the characters, the worldbuilding, the unapologetic ruthlessness of it.

The humongous amount of gore in the show makes me feel like I could go watch the Terrifier movies with a straight face. I don't actually enjoy gore, but this show definitely increased my tolerance (for movie gore, I would never want to see the real stuff)

There are some VERY questionable parts that I'm not really fond of (*cough* season 3 ep 6...), but aside from that, I really liked the show.

I really loved A-Train's character development in particular🔥

I enjoyed the spin-off too - not as much as the main show, but I still liked it.

Meds are so weird, like wdym I get dizzy just from standing up and walking around. Wdym I get nausea but (luckily) never throw up. Wdym I'm too tired to even sit at my desk. Wdym I lose my appetite for a few days and then it returns and suddenly makes me want to eat all day. Wdym I'm suddenly a vegetarian. Wdym I have a fever. Wdym my mood swings are worse. Wdym my maladaptive daydreaming came back. Wdym it's suddenly really hard to shower, train and take care of myself. Wdym I wanna become religious.

At least they got rid of my intrusive thoughts

Random idea for cosmix:

We know that the Winx can travel through space because Twinkly gave them magical outfits or smth, which in my opinion feels a little lazy and convenient.

What if they got that ability as a part of Cosmix? And it'd be alternate wings allowing space travel possible, similar to Believix' alternate wings.

As for when the Winx traveled to Lumenia before they got Cosmix, it could just be the specialists giving them a lift since they got a spaceship.

I really can't stand the amount of AI "art "on Pinterest. I just wanna find official art and fanart of the Winx girlies to add to my board. Instead I get bombarded by obvious artificially generated images.

I did turn off every AI content setting, but it only works for pins that are specifically marked as AI, so it's pointless.

I actually kind of like Winx season 8. Hear me out, please.

It's by far no top-tier winx season, but I actually think the storyline is interesting and enjoyable, even. I think it's much better than season 7 and maybe even beats season 6 in terms of writing.

Naturally, there are problems with it that do throw me off. The artstyle, obviously. They look like kids, especially the specialists. And the whitewashing of Flora and Aisha is... yikes, stop that. Even Musa looks white.. yet they managed to make her dad look asian, so what's going on there?

Then the childishness... Season 8 has those childish elements that I find hard to watch. Yes, it's for kids now, but Winx wasn't originally for toddlers. "Star yummies"? Who even came up with that name. And Valtor got nerfed... the villains were not great.

I don't like most of the voices. That might just be because I'm a nick dub lover. Sky and Riven’s voices really don't suit them, in my opinion.

What I do like are the environments. I think the background art is stunning. I also like the return of Enchantix and Sirenix. Crystal Sirenix... Like the idea, not the design. I like a lot of the non-fairy outfits of the Winx too.

I actually like Cosmix. It fits the theme really well and the girls are in their og colors!!! (Except Aisha). The wings are very uniform, though.

I like that each Winx got their moments to shine in the season and show off their strengths. The season didn't feel too Bloom-centered and Bloom-worshippy, while it also didn't completely erase Bloom's importance as the main character. I also love that Stella's powers were most effective in the first few episodes, and that she was the one who knew about Lumens. Fairy of the shining sun (and moon). She is that girl.

Season 8 kind of gives me magical girl anime/precure vibes, with Twinkly as the little magical helper. I did hear that the Cosmix transformation sequences were similar to Sailor Moon.

Anyways... those are my thoughts. Yapathon fr.

I actually really like Winx s6 lol. Do I think the writing is good? No. But it does have a lot of unique and really interesting concepts.

The outfits were fire. Way too similar, sure. But honestly I feel like the Bloomix outfits being the same makes complete sense bc they're all from Bloom. And don't even get me started on the Trix witch outfits.

Selina was an interesting concept and actually a good idea for redemption instead of the Trix or Diaspro

Daphne should've had more screentime and we should've seen more of her struggles with being the last nymph of Domino bc it can be assumed the rest of her generation died with the attacks.

Domino is gorgeous and the lore is really interesting.

Musa and Riven's break up conversation was the most meaningful thing said in s6 and I adored it.

S6 for sure had issues but I really enjoyed it. At least more than I enjoyed s7, or 8 or the reboot or fate.

I agree. I really enjoy the concept and I lowkey like Mythix too (Would've loved it in 2d). Season 6 just has this nostalgic vibe about that makes me want to rewatch it again and again. It's full of potential, but unfortunately, the writing and execution wasn't great.
