I really wanna know if mc would stop tolerating Lane's shit and actually be serious and scold him for being rude and irresponsible and immature, like to be honest I know it's just a game but he made me so angry and irritated that i truly wanna have a talk with him and know what's going inside his head, I swear no hate I really love the game and played all the routes and I enjoyed every second of it but dawg Lane... i really wanna know does he actually mean everything he say? I know he's not serious all the time and jokes and laughs and shit... but some stuff is actually mean and hurtful it made me wonder, like does lane actually feel guilt or regret? Especially when he f*cked a girl just for a dare??? Or like... does he actually love mc? Would he put more effort if they become in an official relationship in the future? Sometimes I feel like if mc wasn't very chill and unbothered by Lane being Lane she would definitely feel like he actually hurt her feelings and he didn't show that he cared about her at all, like if I was her I'd probably wonder... since i know he hurted and disrespect girls before me, what makes me so special that he won't do the same or worst to me?

Lane doesnt always mean what he says because, like ive said before, hes the type to talk before thinking and then regret it later.

hes avoidant asf, so instead of addressing problems head on hed rather hope theyll fix themselves and then come back when everything feels "normal" again.

people around him have tolerated that for a long time which is part of why he keeps acting that way.

OF COURSE IM NOT SAYING ITS OKAY!! xD but all those questions you have are exactly the questions his route is built around. i cant answer them directly because theyre part of his character arc.

i want BBD to be a long slow burn because i adore writing it. each future Shift will have 100k+ words so its still way too early for MC and Lane to have that big serious conversation. xD

I actually think Jason would work great in a silly universe or toon or kiddie scenario because i think hed adapt well once he knew the rules. I dont think he'd see killing as necessary when in a less grim or gritty world. I dont think the characters of these worlds would be horrified of him for murder because I don't think he'd do it. He could adapt so well like please DC are you hearing me. I think he understands the tone of the pages or screen perfectly.

moral disagreement on when its acceptable to kill aside, its the way bruce deemed the joker more worthy of redemption and second chances than jason. i know that absolutely wasnt intentional on bruces part, but by choosing neither and therefore in a roundabout way choosing the joker, it feels like he saw the joker as the victim of that situation and he saw the joker as more likely to be redeemable in comparison so he prioritized saving him over jason uughhhh
