My wife pointed out to me the other day that apparently most people were literally only taught how to say Sorry and not how to Apologize or even that they are different things so here.

If all you ever do is step 1, not only did you not apologize, but people will rightfully stop believing you and start getting pissed or hurt.

I've been diagnosed with Migraines since I was 10, so I've been dealing with them for 9 years, and I don't really tell anyone about them, because they just sorta happen out of the blue (usually it's stress related, the sun is just a little too bright, or I didn't eat, or just because my brain decides to fuck me over sometimes)

But when I have to tell people, it sucks, because I'm just like "mm..m...migraivend" and they're like "what?" ... "BYE" and I run to the nearest dark room and wait for the rainbow static scribbles to disappear.

Usually lasts 25-50 minutes and it's so dumb, because it's usually 40/70 if I get pain with it, and if I do, it's eye pain and neck pain 😭

It happens at work sometimes and it sucks because I feel so bad about it but there is NOTHING I can do except take medicine and clock out for a bit before resuming work 😦

Mine take about 40 minutes and they're SO weird. Just have to wait for the squiggly little fractal rainbow to move from one corner of my vision diagonally to the other. No pain, but I do get sensitive to light and sound and a little nauseated, and can't see anything useful when it's directly in the middle of my vision. And they're exhausting, so spaced out after.

This is infuriating because every doctor who has ever described migraine auras to me has done such an abysmal job I genuinely thought something else was going on. it took me years to get properly diagnosed.

Same. Mine are almost exactly like the forms on the left.

Starts as a general feeling that things don't look right but I'm not sure why. Then a dot forms near the center of my field of vision and gradually expands in a jaggedy ring—sometimes a full circle, sometimes just a semi-circle—until it expands beyond my field of vision and disappears. Usually takes thirty to sixty minutes to run its course. Very occasionally a second one will follow immediately after the first disappears. Often I will feel kind of out of sorts following one of these, but fortunately I almost never have a painful headache.

I've often wondered if they aren't actually migraines at all but rather some kind of seizure. Over the years I've generally had them about once or twice a month, sometimes going as long as three or four months between occurrences, with greater frequency during times of stress.
