Gemstone Stands, maple with steel pegs, stained with poly finish a much better replacement to the cheap commercially available stand pictured at left. 2-1/2″w x 5″h x 3-1/4″d
Gemstone Stand, painted forged and welded metal with wormy chestnut base, base is stained and coated with poly. shown with onyx sphere
Fireplace Poker, custom commissioned order, hammered and drawn metal with powder coated brass finial, rubbed oil finish 24″ L
Copper Cross Necklace, made from repurposed copper using hammer forged technique, I usually don’t make very much jewelry but it gave me a chance to try out hammer forging that my friend the jeweler uses
More Gemstone Stands.. this time in maple to give contrast to darker stones such as smoky quartz, acomodates several sizes and shapes of stones, the maple had surprising curl in it in places which added character. Thanks again to Eric at Turtle Old Man Jewelry for the commission
Setup, Oktoberfest 2017 Sugar Mtn Ski Resort
TV Stand made for a small flatpanel, welded and painted angle iron with an oak top
Upcycle Chair, made from the back and seat of a folding chair that collapsed, legs from angle iron used in shipping carts, I created a chair far sturdier than the one it replaces
TV Stand, welded and painted base with oak top
Bottle Opener, a plain forged metal version for the lower price field, practical with a simple elegance
Another prototype stand made to accomodate different sizes and shapes of stones. as I have learned what is commercially available for displaying these nice gemstones and geodes is pretty cheesy looking plastic and stuff that looks like it was made from coat hangers
An All Metal Gemstone Stand, utlitarian by design, made to accomodate several shapes and sizes, it replaces the spindly commercially available stand pictured at top, thanks again to Turtle Old Man Jewelry for the commission
A Prototype Stand, that replaces the well.. thing that looks like Sputnik crashed into a trophy base, walnut and forged painted metal
Gemstone Stand, walnut three prong base, made for displaying geode or other gemstones it replaces the cheesy commercially available plastic stand shown, why get a nice rock and not have something nice to display it on? Thanks to Eric at Turtle Old Man Jewelry for the commission!
Bottle Openers, forged and welded with brass screws I make them in different woods, L-R, maple, burled maple, wormy chestnut and walnut
Steampunk Mantle Clock, made from an iron transmission drum, hammered copper and brass center, birch face with rivets, brass trim and backplate with a red oak base. pecan stain finish
