this was a hate crime

“Mir Seddique, Mateen’s father told NBC News, “this has nothing to do with religion.” Seddique said his son got angry when he saw two men kissing in Miami a couple of months ago and thinks that may be related to the shooting.

“We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident. We weren’t aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country,” Seddique said.”

the shooter’s father has literally stated that it was a hate crime. this was violence against lgbt peopel for being lgbt. this isnt about religion and this isnt about neurodivergence so please dont you fucking dare throw muslim and mentally ill people under the bus in the name of the victims of the attack

my heart goes out to the muslim members of the lgbt community, especially my close friends who i know must be shit scared right now and dont deserve any of the islamobigoted hate coming at them
