HIIIIIIII OMHHGHJHGH IM FREAKING OUT ABOUT THE ART I NEED i need to calm down. its okay Really good art really awesome i love. it. oh my god OKAY QUESTIONS 1. So! Kinda complicated, she's mainly a caretaker for the PAs within their sleep room. her whole "bit" is that she is a corpse. with being a corpse she cannot be physically harmed by the asset's shenanigans. think mangle fnaf. she'd only be released into the actual trials during prime time where she can't actually kill reagents, but weaken them and alert the other PAs to finish the dirty work.

2. chrys is generally a pushover. very soft spoken but also very positive! like toxicly positive! she's a jester, happy fun!!! being that she deals with the PAs all day she kind of just lets them do whatever they want, she's not there to curb their violence just watch them. very sensitive, she has spouts of isolating herself in her own room for up to a week when inconvenienced. idk where to put this but its important; she has ASD as well as BPD, due to these things she CAN lash out, but she feels really bad after :(((((

3. this is so stupid. so MY name is rose right. theres a running joke within my friend group that i name everything after flowers and she started as a self insert (clearly is NOT now lmaoooo). but!! chrysanthemums are generally funeral flowers, which. she is dead! chrysanthemum is just her jester name tho. her real name is Lucille :3

5. one must imagine irene as a beautiful black woman (which she is guys #trust) because unfortunately she is easterman's spawn. after the divorce, he pulled some strings to acquire full custody, which left her in his office in sinyala for a while until about 14 years old. this is when the framework of Project Lathe was being started so they needed the tech that you see in the trials. one of which being the shit that revives reagents after being mauled. So Easterman in his LSD addled wisdom decided "hey. my ex-wife already has no contact with my daughter. she's homeschooled. why don't we just use her!!!" (something something medical racism during this time period especially with black women/girls). so they went through the process of killing her and then bringing her back, but since it was the first trial (hah) it wasn't perfected yet. By all means, she is a corpse, besides the fact she is conscious. now she gets to entertain the PAs and work under her emotionally manipulative and exploitative father awwwwww. more loredumps soon hopefully.

6. She is a very gifted engineer!!! She helped specifically with making the execution machines you see with the trial victims.

“How would you feed if you were a vampire” reveals a lot about people

“Steal blood donations from hospitals and blood banks” = my personal favorite. They assume the process for this is simpler than dealing with eating people, clearly the most ethical.

“Stealing blood bags is more unethical than eating people” = surprisingly common take. Perhaps they hold the belief some people deserve life saving care over others. If stealing blood people donate anonymously that would keep both you and potential victims alive, then how is it unethical? Most likely, they read this take online and never really thought about it too hard just agreed because everyone else did. Very telling.

“I’d only feed off of volunteers”= has a deep set faith in a sense of community. Not only people that you trust to keep your secret but would put themselves in danger for you. That’s beautiful. Probably gay.

“I’d feed off of strangers but knock them out first, I’d just take a little” = the belief this is more ethical than stealing blood donations is fascinating

“I’d only eat bad people” = MASSIVE can of worms, requiring its own post. who do you believe deserve to die, how would you be sure of that, and how is this more ethical? This conversation is now about who you would murder if you could get away with it

This question always boils down to me asking; what is a vampire? The most common answers I get are usually that they drink blood, are undead, hate the sun, and hate garlic.

We do have creatures that most would relate to vampires, like mosquitoes, vampire finches, sanguivorous leeches, and of course vampire bats. Hell, two of my examples literally have ‘vampire’ in the name!

Although the biggest common denominator is usually that they drink blood. Literally. The majority of depictions about vampires is that they drink blood, it’s kinda their whole shtick. So based off that I have some answers.

If vampires have a hematophagy diet then wouldn’t I be able to just drink animal blood? People eat animals all the time so it shouldn’t cause any ethic problems. The typical 150-lb whitetail has over 8 pints (around a gallon) of blood in its system. I don’t know the exact dietary guidelines and nutrition requirements of a vampire of course. It’s a fictional mythical creature that has so many different variations across media, so I’m just assuming/basing that they need to drink about 40% to 60% of their body weight like vampire bats do. So in my case, by using my own weight range (107-110) that would roughly be min(1.4) pints to max(2.2) pints a day to meet my daily nutritional needs. (USA liquid pints specifically btw, also I have dyscalculia so excuse me if I’m super duper wrong.)

8 pints from a single deer could last me multiple days, and I’m not even limited to just deer! Cattle for example have 76 to 82 pints of blood, that could legit last me around 2 months, 2 months worth of food! But, fresh culinary blood can only be refrigerated for up to 2–4 days, if frozen then it extends the expiration to 6–12 months instead, and when opened it should be used within 24 hours to avoid spoilage. Because blood clots quickly, it must be treated with an anticoagulant (sodium citrate). You can get this blood from slaughterhouses or butchers, the price depends on the type of animal blood and where you buy it from. Of course, some might argue that it has to be human blood specifically. But I find that so nonsensical. You’re consuming the blood not doing a transfusion, it shouldn’t matter where it’s coming from as long as it has similar nutritional components. Vampire bats aren’t picky, they are not strictly limited to one species, they’ll adapt to what’s available in their habitat on condition that it’s warm-blooded.

So yeah, you probably could be an ethical vampire and live a pretty normal lifestyle without breaking any laws or harming others. There IS ethical consumptions under vampirism! I think.
