idk about you guys but in my opinion the worst part of steven universe’s writing by far is that part at the end of every episode where the pearl one turns to the camera and says “remember kids, arson is good and if you dont commit it regularly and with a hateful passion in your little child hearts i’m going to come out of the tv and kill you” it just feels kind of gross tbh

Very important announcement! (Last post) PLEASE READ!!

So I got an email back from some nice people who have been helping me. They worked with me and my mom to make sure we could get through our goal so we are close to getting out of the streets! (along with you guys help too thank you!)

I was informed we just need $530 that way we can get the full help that we need so me and my mom can finally get everything we need to be stable 😭 I was so happy to read the email this morning!! I'm so close I'm serious this time!! I'm so close to getting a normal life again!! So I need everyone's help one last time!! I just need $530 and I'll finally get the help I should've gotten since shelters in my area were unresponsive and ghosted me which was frustrating. I can get a car ride, finally get a damn truck, I can get clothes, I can go grocery shopping, get my medication all of it!! I took my little brother (autistic, mostly non verbal) out and he was using his voice keyboard to tell me something, and this little boy (maybe 4 or 5?) heard him and asked me "Is he a robot??" I tried to explain to him that no, he isn't a robot, he just communicates differently, but my darling brother was in the background max volume "I am robot I am robot I am robot I am robot"

My little brother insisted if I was going to post about him, he wanted a cut of the "profits". When I explained to him that Tumblr isn't monetized, and is pretty pointless, he and my older brother pointed out that he'd still be bringing me "fame and notoriety" if the post got "big". So we agreed, if the post hit 10k notes, which seemed extremely farfetched and silly at the time, I'd take my little brother out for sushi (his favorite food) and let him eat as much as he wants.

I guess God wanted the little robot to enjoy some sushi 🍣 🥲

Hey hey, as a librarian, can I just say don’t pace yourself at the library. I get a lot of customers saying “oh I shouldn’t get too many books out at once” but like you should!!!! Max out your card, take everything we have on a subject you’re interested in, make a book fort in your home. We love that shit! It doesn’t matter if you read them or not; just take them for an adventure and bring them back whenever they’re due!

For public libraries, one of the ways we secure funding year to year is lending. Governments don’t want to fund more books if they’re not being used and the way we measure use is by issues. Regardless of whether you read it or not, whether you have it for a day or a month, if you issue it to your library card, we get the stats! It makes the library look good!

Help your local library; get books out even if you know you can’t read them all!
