You are not unlovable. You are surrounded by people who did not know how to love you.
Hey, so this may be a weird place to put this, but if your college or school uses Canvas, it was likely affected by the recent data breach. As of right now, the most likely personal information swept up in this hack is names and email addresses. Login and financial information were not included in the breach (as far as we know).
Right now, as a student you should beware of phishing attempts. Do not click on links seeking your login or financial information. Do not respond to emails about financial aid until verifying the email is legitimate first. Call your school or go speak to an admin in person if you have to. Report any suspicious emails to your school's IT department.
Want to add that mirrored sites are a very likely avenue of attack here. If you receive a legitimate-seeming e-mail telling you that you have to log in to a given account and take some action, navigate to the website for that account through your browser and do NOT click the link. It's fairly easy to create a perfect simulacrum of a website and only redirect you to the legitimate website after obtaining your login credentials in order to avoid arousing suspicion
Be especially wary of e-mails claiming to be from Canvas, as it's the one site the hackers can guarantee you use and are expecting communication from
the inevitable conclusion
So 2016 is SO bad that it made the creator of this meme give us an alternative version of “This is Fine”.
oh. twenty sixteen you say.
Your gender is yours! Being intersex does not make you less of a woman or less of a man. If you are nonbinary, being intersex as well doesn't change who you are! Intersex can seem like a scary term, especially as a new realization about yourself. But "intersex" isn't a bad word! It doesn't strip away a gender you have lived and connected to. It doesn't decide what gender you will identify with in the future. "Intersex" simply describes people whose bodies develop outside of the typical sex binary. Remember that your intersex status doesn't determine or dictate your gender. Your gender belongs to you!
The above is a video shared by smrchildsadness on Twitter, showing a person participating in a pride parade exchanging a pride flag with a person standing on his (am using his pronoun based on the TikToks/Tweets of what happened) doorway who had a Portuguese flag. There are sounds of cheers and crying and the two people hug each other as they exchange the flags. The man at the doorway then waved kisses to the crowd within the pride parade.
The Tweet says: "NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HE WAS WAVING THE PORTUGUESE FLAG BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HAVE A PRIDE FLAG AND THEY TRADED FLAGS AND HE'S SO EMOTIONAL TO GET HIS OWN PRIDE FLAG I'M EMOTIONALLY RUINED"
For context, apparently they were worried that maybe he's a nationalist because he was waving the Portuguese flag and some nationalists opposing the pride march were waving that flag. But upon interacting with him, it turns out he didn't have have a pride flag and he wanted to wave *a* flag in support of the pride march. So they had an exchange and now he has his own pride flag 😭🥹.
The image above is a Tweet by kunwara_ladkaa that says "I'm crying so much right now (Image taken by Manuel Fernando Araújo/Lusa)". The image shows the same man from the pride parade crying as he hugs his new pride flag.
The above image is a Tweet by dudz_zZzz that says "ainda não parei de pensar nele," which according to Google translate from Portuguese to English is "I still haven't stopped thinking about him." The image is a drawing of the person from the pride parade, crying as he hugs his new pride flag.

His name is António Fernandes, and you can find the original article where he spoke about this event here
This elderly gentleman lives alone in Porto, when he saw the march coming up his street all he knew was he wanted to participate, so he ran home to get the only flag he had to wave as they passed by, when they did he was overcome with emotion and called over one of the activists, they hugged and exchanged flags, he felt so overwhelmed that he could only hold it and cry.
This isn't a story about a closeted elderly man, António lives and has been living alone for many years now and that little moment made him feel included in something for the first time in many years.
Says the article:
"The act was "of support”, guarantees the man, especially because “each one is as they are and we are all the same”. “The joy I felt at this moment. I cried,” he recalled, still emotional when looking at the photograph offered to him during this report.
However, even though it reached thousands of people, the moment screams a feeling of belonging, of joy and also a portrait of loneliness as a consequence of aging.
Behind that door, whose image spread across the country, António is the portrait of a condition that affects many others like him. He lives alone, but the walls of his home are full of memories of a life shared and full of love. “Memories I preserve,” he stresses.
He's not gay, nor does he need to be to support and respect the cause.
“We all have the same color blood. We are all the same.”
Still with an emotional look glued to the photograph that immortalized his gesture at the march, António remembers: “I felt embraced by all of them”. After a sigh, he says: “See this photo? I want to take it to my coffin.”

All of my friends that work at wildlife rehab centers have had to untangle animals from this stuff, or had animals brought in that died in it. This is especially nasty for small owl species.
Why would you put fake spiderwebs outside your home anyways? Do what my family does and use them as indoor decorations, it's easier to clean up that way and it makes the living room look cool.
Good to know for us animal lovers, if you’re going to use them please keep it to decir inside the house, not out!
Oh shit had no idea!! Thank you!! Source:
The classic Halloween decor can be a silent threat to furry friends if displayed unsafely.
"As autumn advances, leaves begin to fall from trees and a chill runs through the air, making it increasingly clear the spooky season is upon us. But as people decorate for Halloween, they may be setting up a trick rather than a treat for surrounding critters: That fake spider webbing commonly seen across the country every October is just as effective at trapping critters as a real web is.
Kathryn Dudeck, the wildlife director at Georgia's Chattahoochee Nature Center, told Snopes via phone that fake spider webbing, normally made out of a synthetic, fiber-like polyester, is similar to tightly woven fiberglass.
"The webbing actually adheres to the skin of a toad," she said. "For raptors and songbirds, it sticks to their feathers and then settles in between them, almost like velcro." ...
Dudeck said that animals most at risk with fake cobwebs are small birds, including hummingbirds and small owls, bats and reptiles, like toads...
The danger of fake webs doesn’t immediately go away after Halloween, either. A 2019 article from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation explains that if not properly disposed of, birds might use the material to build their nests. In a worst-case scenario, the webbing could catch and trap any chicks in the nest. The solution to all of this is fairly easy: stop using fake webs outside.
Instead, consider moving the webbing indoors, perhaps behind a window so it’s still visible. If you are set on creating a web outdoors, Dudeck recommended making one out of rope and ensuring you've left ample space between strands to mitigate the risk to wildlife."

another fucking terf in the asexual tag gross
radfemaizen
As always don’t harass just block; this was their post and Ofc there are many errors in this, but I can’t be fucked to explain right now
Things that I hate:
People who are not asexual using asexuality or saying "I'm asexual" as a soft way to say "I do not reciprocate your feelings" 💀💀💀
*SPECIFICALLY asexual. Not aromantic. Whole different story.
Bro...asexuality IS an orientation, not a lie, not a struggle, not a rejection, not a form of rejection, not a tool for polite rejection. If you want to reject someone, just straight up say you're not interested.
Asexual people can have romantic attraction. Asexual people CAN fall in love. We just don't wanna bang. That's it. Not because we choose to abstain or fallen into purity culture...we just...don't feel it. Don't feel, don't relate.
Asexuality ≠ not interested/not crushing on somebody.
Asexuality = lack/no sexual attraction. That's it.
Reblog to save a duck
Quack quack
It’s getting to be that time of year where more people are going outside to parks and stuff so i thought it would a good idea to reblog this again
Once I was feeding some ducks from a bag of birdseed I brought with me, and this woman next to me looked so confused and asked what I was feeding them
When I said it was birdseed she just went “oh- can they actually eat that? Is that safe?”
I didnt know how to respond like, at all, so I just pointed at the duck and said “bird”
She then had a look on her face like a new groove was just forcibly carved in her brain and said softly “oh my fucking god”
We had ducks for a few years :)
hey, you know when you buy a bag of salad greens, and then you don’t eat all of them (or sometimes even open the package) in time for you to want to eat them? Duck food.
Ducks natural diet is leafy greens that grow in water, and things like snails and insect larva. Some types of ducks have a diet that is like 90% slugs and larva and such, but a large portion of the diet of most ducks is water weeds.
lettuces and leafy veggies are generally pretty good eating for them BUT NOT SPINACH - spinach can interfere with calcium absorption, and too much of it can cause health issues or lead to them laying soft-shelled eggs which is Not Good. And specifically iceberg lettuce in large amounts can cause them digestive problems. Avocado is basically poison to them, and while they do like many fruits, citrus fruits like oranges etc aren’t good for them. Mango isn’t great either.
Most leafy greens and many veggies are a good snack for them tho. Cucumbers, peas, zucchini, broccoli, corn, kale, bok choy, collards, cabbage, chard, lettuce, all good.
Squash and root vegetables such as sweet potatoes, beets, turnips, carrots, radishes and parsnips are also good but ducks can’t chew and will have a hard time eating them unless they are grated or cooked. And no non-sweet potatoes - regular potatoes (along with tomatoes) are not good for ducks. Nuts can also be a problem so probably avoid nuts (some bird food comes with nuts in it)
A bag of frozen peas is pretty cheap and super great duck food, they don’t even care if they are still mostly frozen (in fact, if you’ve never eaten a frozen pea yourself, i highly recommend it, they taste much sweeter when frozen, and when i was growing up very poor, we used to eat frozen peas instead of candy sometimes) IF you do feed the ducks peas that are still frozen, a little bit defrosted is better, and do it in shallow water/water’s edge, and not on dry land; if they eat still-frozen peas completely dry, the peas can stick to their beaks and throat a bit… but a drink of water solves this problem.
remember that ducks can’t chew, so anything you give them has to be bite size for them (altho they can tear bites of lettuce off a head of lettuce - they can’t easily tear a bite off a single large leaf tho, so tear up the lettuce unless you’re giving them the whole head)
Of course the other thing ducks eat naturally is bugs grubs and snails etc, so if you happen to have some extra meal worms, or beetle larva, or a bunch of un-seasoned escargot for some reason… they’ll love that too.
