Season 2 casually ripping my heart out over Joel and Ellie and her being a part of the Miller Family no fucking question for two episodes straight:

* this…just this ⬇️

* Ellie’s complaint about being coddled by Joel wasn’t because “he’s not my dad” it was “I’m an adult now he can’t tell me what to do”

* “I swear, you and my brother? Same goddamn fucking person”

* JOEL CONFIRMING SHE LIVED WITH HIM UP UNTIL THE FALLOUT THEN “shuts herself in the damn garage which I should’ve never let her move into in the first place”

* the look on Joel’s face after Gail says “neither is Ellie”

Also “oh my 19 year old daughter, she’s acting toward me like…every 19 year old daughter has treated their dad, EVER”

We see Ellie being the most brutal we've ever seen her be with Nora, mirroring Joel's brutality when he was searching for Ellie in s1. Then it cuts away to Joel's reintroduction and he's the softest we see him. The contrast and mirroring in this show is just :chefs kiss:.

Alright, I can't believe no one’s talking about this.

We need to talk about Dina’s borderline-savant ability to identify overlapping Infected shrieks. Everytime she counts them, the tension of the scene zeroes in. I was holding my breath during that part in the subway scene.

Not to mention, it's such a brilliant way to portray her backstory since she's never lived in QZs. Before Jackson, she was raised around these sounds, learned the language of Infected so well that she could differentiate them like we can with people's voices. It's so fucking cool.
