The worst anti-Jess take I’ve heard was someone saying that by calling and asking Rory about the flier that said she hung up out with Dean was jealous and possessive. If anything, this was a sign of a healthy relationship. He didn’t yell at her, didn’t get mad at her—he just asked for her side of the story. He didn’t say she couldn’t see Dean anymore, just to tell him when she saw him. I think that’s fair considering Dean is her ex-boyfriend who straight up told Jess that he was actively trying to win Rory back. Honestly, if I were Jess I would’ve been more pissed off than he was. He handled the situation well, I don’t get why people hate on him for this.

just sitting here thinking about tsitp and I accidentally had a groundbreaking realization. In the show Laurel tells Belly there was only one guy she truly had fireworks with but it wasn't really meant to be in the end. In the book it's explained that before Susannah and Adam Fisher got together, Adam Fisher dated Laurel, but Laurel stepped aside and let Susannah have him bc she "just knew he'd be perfect for Susannah". um EXCUSE ME??? does this mean what I think it means??? Was Susannah the Jeremiah and Laurel the Conrad in this situation?

It would explain why Laurel was soooo against the idea of the wedding (on top of the other reasons), because she didn't want the kids to make the same mistakes as the parents in settling for the wrong person... but idk if i could see Laurel with Adam I just don't know.

ALSO while I'm on the topic can we talk about the fact that Laurel puts Adam Fisher in his place and Belly puts Conrad in his place (which is why everyone is always asking her to talk to him)...this is TOO MUCH to handle but I had to share it with y'all

Shout out to Steve Harrington for apparently being the only genre-aware person in the Hawkins group, grabbing something to defend the group as soon as they hear a weird noise, poking stuff around with an oar, not letting the cursed girl spend too long on her own… and when Dustin mocks him, he snaps back, “considering the people in this room have nearly died about half a dozen times, I don’t find it funny”. He’s so right and he should say it. Steve KNOWS he’s in a horror film and he’s built to be the final girl.

rewatching anne with an e and gilbert really is the dumbest man on the fucking planet because what do you mean you see your crush completely plastered at a party making pirate jokes and dancing by a fire and decide now is the correct time to confess your love for her and you do this by talking about all the benefits to marrying another girl, and when your crush, drunk as a skunk, sputters out a confused monologue that doesn't even include a full sentence you decide to take this as irrefutable proof that she is not in love with you. Gilbert. Gilbert you want to be a doctor. Gilbert you can't be this dense.
