Time for another yapping sesh yall.
I am absolutely IN LOVE with just how incredibly infatuated Roger and Anita are with each other. The quite literally bring out the best in each other, I remember when i watched the movie for the first time with my boyfriend and his brother-- we were pleasantly surprised with how Roger was the pinnacle of healthy masculinity. The man is unashamedly theatrical and vulnerable with his wife. He is not afraid to speak his mind both with his distaste for Cruella but also showing how incredibly afraid he is of her. He of course tries fuzzing up to protect Anita but its clear that its an uncommon occurrence that he has to show such bravery that he's literally trembling in his boots. I think its a very clear implication that Roger despite the norms of society in the 60s, isnt afraid to cry in front of Anita. Be completely vulnerable to her and speak the truth about his feelings, which makes her just as comfortable speaking hers to him. Feeling validated for what she feels and that she isnt just some "emotional woman".
They also mess around with each other, that is very apartment when Roger sings about Cruella to her. Sure she looks a bit annoyed at his playing around, but its clearly because she wants to be polite about her old school mate and she does with clear body language and posture find her husbands jokes funny. She thinks he's a silly man and if he wasn't a musician she would’ve probably encouraged him to be an actor or stand up comedian. She isnt afraid to stand up for herself either when she does disagree with her partner and Roger clearly listens. Only dismissing her when he feels like she's hurting herself when she's trying to defend a clearly very alarming and problematic person.
I feel like they're the kind of couple that at this point knows the ins and outs of each others personalities and are so in sync at this point that they could practically finish each others sentences. I can just see the two of them swooning over one another so much that they both would admit that if they could propose and marry each other 10 times over and over again, then they would.
Lmao me? Talking about heteronormative fluff? Who am I and what has happened to me /pos
Again why not @shychick-52 to this, sorry dude its not about Jasper this time but I think this could still be a fun ramble to read.
Its been a while since I've done HCs here. So lets go.
I think Jasper Badun definitely knows Polari.
For those that dont know Polari was a very common code language used in Brittain in the 50s and 60s by the LGBTQ+ community. Basically to speak to each other about queer topics without being found out by the cops. It depends a bit on where you lived in Brittain but either way the language heavily used a mix of Romani, Italian, Yiddish, Sailors and Thieves slang and most importantly Cockney Rhyme.
Basically-- every minority you could imagine in the 1960s.
I think I can make this argument even stronger by Jasper's and Horaces character designs alone. The big hands, big noses, exaggerated proportions and way of speaking. Early Disney based lots of their character designs of racist stereotypes and it didn't take long for me and my boyfriend to quickly see a pattern when we saw the repetition of big hands, noses and speech when Disney represented the Romani population. Its extremely problematic and a criticism we all should be aware of when we watch old movies for the nostalgia
Now I cannot 100% be certain that Jasper and Horace are supposed to be Romani. I think its completely up to the viewer. But the possibility is certainly still there. Which just leans into my headcanon even more.
Also even if you weren't queer yourself. If you were a thief that needed to hide in the slums of society, you would walk into queer culture either way. Especially since lower class pubs were a hot-spot for anyone that didn't fit in. It was a hiding place for people to be themselves and also very often host 3 am dragperformances. (I know this documentary is based off of New York but i still think watching the 1990s documentary Paris is Burning is a great insight to kinda get the vibe of underground hush-hush drag culture) Now I've always HC:d Jasper as a extremely closeted bisexual man. Someone that's for certain into women but would literally prefer dying than admit he was attracted to men. But I still think it's important to make this point to people who just see him as a hetero man. Straight men can still experience gay culture. Minorities understand other minorities.
Now why am I so adamant that Jasper (perhaps Horace too) could be bisexual? Honestly, because I am very tired of people always assuming that you have to *look a certain way* or *act a certain way* to be queer. As a gay person myself, I really like the presentation of both healthy but also problematic gay people. Because thats just realistic! Jasper is a bad person, a thief that considered killing puppies to get money. A man that is portrayed as remorseless and scary. And to add that he is struggling with internal homophobia and most likely feels disgust around gay people? It's sad, it's awful... but it feels real. It feels like someone I would meet. It feels like a person that-- if they could just meet the right people, if they were bonked over the head enough that it's alright to feel like how they feel. Could eventually come around to eventually accept themselves. Doesn't necessarily need to happen, thats honestly a way too positive way of looking at it. But it's such a raw feeling I have when it comes to HCing that Jasper could be bi. Especially bi-ness as well. Anyone that was bi back in the day most definitely ended up with someone of the opposite gender so they could conform into society. So exploring that, and really digging into it in my fanfic. Feels so extremely validating.
I uh-- I honestly dont know where I was going with this. I just wanted to yap. I suppose I should tag my friend @shychick-52 to read this if they want lmao
getting a new interest that it feels like nobody gaf about is so excruciating what do you mean people aren't going ham nuts over this thing. please start losing your minds
@mypersonalships I'm so happy you love Jasper as much as I do! 😄

I absolutely love the stupid lil scenarios these lads are put through in this sequel.
But what absolutely grinds my gears is always when movies go "Haha men ugly in dresses" jokes. Now, Jasper is already supposed to be an ugly character. But honestly, I think putting him in a time-accurate dress and not making fun of drag at the same time is fully possible.
Don't believe me?
Exhibit a:
Making a new fandom friend is the best feeling, especially when you and them are basically twinning! It's the best part of getting a new blorbo! 😁
I was so scared I would be all alone in my newest obsession, but nope!
@mypersonalships
PLEASEEEE IM PRAYING AND BEGGING
The newest blorbo to my collection is Jasper Badun from the original 1961 101 Dalmatians!
Lanky, arrogant, with a long nose and a Cockney accent? Hell, yeah!
The movie itself is definitely great, but it's Jasper, Horace, and Cruella that absolutely steal the show! I love those three!
And Cruella is probably one of my absolute favorite Disney villains (she's an incredible mix between classy and hilariously batshit-insane)! And those Badun brothers are my favorite Disney villain sidekicks (especially Jasper); the two are CRIMINALLY OVERLOOKED in general, particularly from the original movie.
Chapter 2 is out now!
So, let's analyse some frames in this new Amadeus teaser - PART 1
Our man Salieri is shocked. I love Bettany as an actor and he gives me some Ian Mckellen Salieri vibes. Also love his dark blue/black/I have to look at it for more time when it isn't in a 2 second frame jacket.
Blimsley is here from Bridgerton, yeiii! Also I like this soft candlelight. It's not too much and you can see everything so clearly.
This colorful peacock-like girl is, of course, Caterina Cavalieri for me. Stanzi is more modest looking justly respecting her family finances. In the cast are present also characters like ALL of her sisters, so we'll see Aloysia, Josepha and Sophie, the boarders in their house, as, in the synopsis, it says that Mozart ARRIVES to Vienna, so he'll settle down at Zum Auge Gottes I presume. In the cast are also mentioned Da Ponte, Clementi and Süßmayr and I'm so happy for it.
Wolfie falling down the stairs probably drunk - are those shards of glass from a botte on the floor near him? - with Stanzi probably looking lol.
PARTY HARD YEAH
He has the same look and wig from the stairs frame, so that guy above it's definitely him. I love Will Sharpe's way of squeaking "✨FANCY✨" btw XD
Oh Paul, you'll do wonders in this role, I know.
As I said before Clementi is in the cast and, according to IMDb, he will appear in ep. 1. Soooo, this scene is undoubtedly the famous musical duel with Clementi arranged by Joseph II on Christmas Eve of 1781.
Leopold! And lil Wolfie! 🥹❤️
A scenario in which Dave tells Wally to stay still whilst he does something quickly. Wally listens until someone he thinks was Dave, knocks into him. He calls out to Dave, asking what he did that for and starts in a direction the person hit him from.
Dave's not looking so he doesn't realize Wally's gone until he turns around. Panic sets in and he starts looking around, but Wally's gone gone.
It takes a good long while, but he eventually sees Wally heading towards something that'll surely kill him if he walks into it (road, over tracks, something like that).
Dave's fear is replaced with absolutely terror as he books it towards Wally, shouting at him to stop, but there's something he can't hear that's preventing Wally from hearing him. Just has Wally's about to meet his certain death, Dave's arms wrap around his waist, yanking him back.
Muffled by his face being buried in Wally's shoulder blade, Dave repeatedly calls him an idiot, not loosening his, fairly shaky, grip. Wally's makes a few failed attempts to get Dave to let go and talk to him, but eventually gives up to just let Dave calm down.

What are the main differences between pre-relationship Twee & post-relationship Twee?
Haha am I late or am I late answering this ask (seriously tho sorry I didn't get a notif from Tumblr)
Anyway!
This is a pretty darn big ask because there's a BIG difference between pre-twee and post-twee in like-- EVERY regard. (/Pos)
But you could say the main difference is the intent in their bickering.
Cuz I don't think they will ever stop squabbling. It's just that... Pre-relationship their nagging is genuine spite and irritation. Criticism of what they don't like about the other. (But that also builds for some spicy tension if you ask me :])
Post-relationship all their quarreling is mostly because-- that's what they do. It's full of affection and simple teasing both of them are used to at that point. I love when couples eventually fall in love with the others flaws. So despite how much Three thinks Two is dirty and childish. He still loves that that is what makes him-- well-- him.
he probably would
I have some food for yall Twee-lovers
