Ellie was violated by the fireflies.
Seriously, she asked “where are my clothes?” in a tone I think we can all agree sounded violated.
She has no memories of taking off her clothes. That’s fucking violating.
Joel was right.
I just don’t think the narrative that Tess was the one to give Joel his second daughter gets discussed enough.
Joel was not vocal about his feelings, but Tess has to know deep down that she was the closest he would allow himself to get to another person after Sarah died. And she was the person who brought Ellie into his life. Who left him with his second chance.
I don’t know much about Sarah’s mom, but I think she left when Sarah was little. So, unlike when Joel talked to Sarah about her mother, he and Ellie will be able to smile fondly as they remember Tess. Ellie will be able to appreciate Joel’s stories in the same way a child would appreciate hearing stories about the mother they remember a little but never really knew.
Tess was Joel’s family. It was her dying wish that she take Ellie. That she take his daughter. The missing origin of their family. The closest thing Ellie ever had to a mother (Marlene ain’t shit) after the tragic death of Anna hours after she was born.
Anyways, I just don’t think we talk about it enough-
After all the hate jonny and simone got when S2 was announced, when kate’s casting was announced, when rege left. All the racism, homophobia and colourism. All the shit promo bridgerton gave them, the lack of faith from shondaland, the ruined plot and character, the shared screentime.
They deserved this, they deserved to win this season.
They didn’t have a lockdown, or a holiday season and everyone watched
I’m so happy that season 2 surpassed season 1 and that it got so much support
This is their victory.
Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton are sweating 😅 they got big shoes to feel (if they are suspectedly) the focus of Season 3.

Penelope Featherington's father had left his family in financial and social ruin, and now it was up to Penelope to save her mother and sisters.
Penelope and her family leave the 'ton with nothing, but return months later in reasonable fashion.
The Bridgerton family had always had a soft spot for Penelope Featherington, and with news of her and her family's return they insist that the Featheringtons stay with the Bridgertons during this years season.
Although, Penelope has changed. She no longer worries about typical protocols in the 'ton like being escorted by a maid. Penelope disappears at odd hours, and has money that no one knows about. She has upwards of 4 glasses of champagne or wine at dinner. She no longer views herself as a respectable lady.
And the Bridgertons will not have it, as they do their best to protect her reputation from ruin.

i’m strange but friendly so people tell me things
one of the worst adhd things ever is wanting to trick yourself into doing tasks so you make up fake deadlines to give yourself a sense of pressure but then your adhd goes ‘is that a Real deadline with immediate consequences or a fake one to make our life more organized? :/‘ and then you go ‘it’s a fake one to make our life more organized 😔’ and then the task doesn’t get done
am i allowed to say stuff on here?
do u ever remember that facial expression elizabeth swann pulls when she’s holding out the medallion at the edge of the pearl and ur just like ma’am……
ma’am…..
reminder that george floyd wasn't a martyr who sacrificed his life for the betterment of white people
he didn't choose to die. he didn't sacrifice himself. he was murdered in cold blood
white people are already twisting this, thanking him for his sacrifice like he decided to be brutally murdered by a white cop for existing as a black man
like. stop thanking him for being killed just because it made you open your eyes! it was never his responsibilty to make you take a stand against police violence and racial profiling in the first place
you want to make something out of his death? acknowledge that it was senseless and never should have happened in the first place! stop glorifying this murder
now that george floyd’s murderer is behind bars, let’s help support the people who helped with the guilty verdict as well as george’s family. the fight is hardly over.
darnella’s fund - darnella was the young woman who filmed george’s last moments.
gianna’s fund - george’s daughter who has now been left without a father.

i think about this post every day
Sorry I haven't been posting I found a pirated copy of Ben Shapiro's book and I am obsessed it is the most comically racist thing I've ever read.
The protagonist is a clear self insert who starts high school very short but quickly grows up to be a US general. Young ben tries to make friends with "the black kids" but fails when he calls one the N word. I am not joking.
Literally one of the first things he describes every time we meet a new character is their height.
One of the villains is a fictional detroit preacher/BLM organizer who is very clearly supposed to be al sharpton mixed with barack obama. His big scheme is to collude with a fictional detroit barbershop owner/crack dealer pay an eight year old black child to pull a fake gun on a white cop with the intent of provoking a murder and then ride the resulting tide of unrest to office.
Every black character speaks in nothing but bizarre 90s jive slang.
If you think that's bad, just wait till he describes the muslims. They're not even funny I genuinely do not think he sees muslims as human.
Strangely, every single description of a firearm is INCREDIBLY erotic. The cop from earlier describes his service weapon as "the gun was life" a SWAT team is described as carrying "AR15s set to burst"
It is genuinely difficult not to notice the phallic overtones and sexual imagery around firearms. The first sentence of the novel is NotBen checking the magazine of his handgun and saying "Damn, out."
In this book, not only did Saddam have weapons of mass destruction, but after the invasion, he stashed the leftovers in syria and jordan. You know, the countries he had just spent 10 years waging brutal war ahainst. Its simultaneously how ben wants the world to be, and how he sees it. It's like he's trying to manifest this vision of an america on the brink of collapse.
The only latine people described so far have been described as "of gang age" which ben clarifies as meaning "14-17"
He describes them as "Having tattoos" and "Some missing fingers or ears"
I know I'm clowning on ben and he deserves it but this is truly a valuable peek into Bens mind. So often when it comes to these ePundit motherfuckers it can be hard to tell exactly what brand of racism you're dealing with, which can affect how you respond to the pundit as a cultural phenomenon.
Im not done, but as of now my theory is that Ben set out to write a low-effort, exaggerated, action-movie version of his views. This is Ben relaxing a bit, letting the ideas flow, and it's far, far, FAR, more revealing than he ever intended it to be.
The funniest thing about all this is it reveals how little ben actually knows about the world. He gets basic government procedure completely wrong on a regular basis.
He describes Tehran as "Having no cafes" even though cafes are a massive part of middle eastern culture and Tehran is SPECIFICALLY FAMOUS FOR THE QUALITY AND AMOUNT OF ITS CAFES. It's the equivalent of saying Paris has no bakeries or that New York has no pizza parlors.
Oh yeah it's called "True Allegiance" and Bens name I'm the book is
