Tagging Guide for DPxDC

Hey guys, there has been a lot of confusion recently about tagging the crossover on Tumblr. We want to encourage people to enjoy DPxDC content without annoying people who aren’t keen on the crossover. This does NOT apply to tagging on AO3, since the AO3 tagging system is extremely robust and easy to filter.

Sailor Toni from the main DP fanfic server made this graphic on best tagging practices.

Tagging Guide for DPxDC 

As the crossover grows more and more popular, we need to make sure the Danny Phantom, DC, and Batman tags on Tumblr is not taken over. 

- For crossover items please tag it as “DPxDC” with no spaces. 

- DO NOT tag the main fandoms   

(Ex. DP, Danny Phantom, DC, Batman, Batfam, etc.) 

- For ships like Tim X Danny, please use ship names like “Dead Tired ship” or remove all spaces (ex. TimXDanny)

We suggest you follow the guide in order to avoid both the Danny Phantom and DC fandom’s anger at them being unable to find non-crossover content. 

Huge thanks to everyone on Tumblr who has been working with us to keep things tagged and orderly. This is a big crossover fandom and we want to ensure that everyone can engage with it as much or as little as they want.

#does including spaces fuck with the tagging system?#I usually use dp x dc with the spaces cause it seems like the most popular#but if that’s broken and shows up in non-crossover tags I can stop

Yes, unfortunately, Tumblr doesn’t always seem to register tags with spaces in the blacklist. I don’t know why, but I have been told that people with dp x dc still see posts with that tag.

@thesoulspulse suggested in this post a while back that Vlad should have become Casper High's principal instead of Amity Park's mayor, and I completely agree. Would have been waaaaaay funnier and better preserved his status as a very personal threat/potential ally to Danny specifically. Plus, we could have gotten a really dramatic students vs faculty dodgeball game with Vlad vs Danny as the inciting force!!

Jack is under appreciated in the Fandom and it shows!

Like love Maddie, she’s a queen when she’s not traumatizing her son, but we sleep on Jack!

Like in both normal Danny phantom fandom and especially the dc x dp crossover.

More often than not Jack gets shoved into supporting character role in the fandom and I feel like this is a missed opportunity!

His main traits are loving his family and hunting ghost but he plays second fiddle to Maddie!

Love cool karate mom but we’re sleeping on the Himbo gun dad dammit!

Give me more character progression for him!

Make Jack make tough choices!

Have he have a crisis of faith!

Have him realize that Vlad doesn’t like him and is obsessed with his son and wife!

Have him ask what is more important, ghosts or family.

Have him choose family.

Have him run away with his kids in the dead of night.

Have him choose ghosts have him be the main antagonist

Have Jack chase after his missing family in a fucked up way of thinking he’s going save them!

Make him do something other than love wife and be tank antagonist!

He is basically Brucie Wayne if he was real and had a thing for guns!

Bruce carefully approached the child playing by himself in the park. The child giggled as they played with chalk, the sidewalk illuminated by a single street lamp.

"What are you drawing?" he said softly, not wanting to alarm them.

The child turned, revealing themself to be a little boy, no older than 5. He had raven black hair and icy blue eyes. Bruce could practically already hear Oracle snickering on the other end of the comms. She had probably already taken a snapshot of the boy through his visor and posted to the batkids group chat which contrary to popular belief, he did know about. Bruce sighed internally. He'd never hear the end of it when he got home. Especially if he had the kid in tow. Let's hope that didn't happen.

"Hello Batman!" a cheery voice broke him out of his thoughts. "I'm drawing a gargaggle!"

Bruce refocused on the boy who showed no signs of fear. He didn't even look surprised which was strange to say the least. "A gargaggle? Do you mean gargoyle?"

The boy furrowed his brows for a bit before piping up again. "I do! It's such a funny word. I can never get it right."

"I know the feeling," Bruce said, crouching down next to the boy. "Sometimes I struggle with words too."

The boy's eyes went wide as if he couldn't believe the Batman struggled with words. "Say-" Bruce started, "-it's pretty late out are your parents nearby?"

The boy shook his head. "No, I don't have parents," he said as he went back to doodling.

Ok Bruce don't freak out just yet. "Oh, then do you have a guardian of sorts? Like an older sibling, or another family member? Like an aunt or grandparent?"

The boy shook his head again. "Nope. Oh! But I do have a friend. She's very nice and gives me lots of gifts and special things."

Alright, he could work with that. Maybe this 'friend' was the kid's guardian and he just didn't realize it yet. That could happen if he was put in their care recently. Bruce cleared his throat to get the boy to look up at him again. "Do you know where your friend is right now?" he asked.

The boy smiled wide. " 'course I do! She's right over there!" As he spoke, he pointed to a clutter of trees, just to his left. "She really loves you and your family," he said. "She's shy though, so she hid when she saw you coming."

"I see," Bruce replied as he got up. "Well maybe I can convince her to come out." He walked over to where the boy had pointed and pulled apart the bushes, hoping to find a woman who he could talk to about the dangers of wandering around at night. Instead he found nothing.

Bruce heard a giggle from behind him. "That's not where she is silly," he said.

"But that's what you-"

"She's not in the bushes, she's in the shadows. She's really good at hide and seek you know. Once we were playing and she hid in the shadows. Then she snuck up behind me from another shadow. It was really unfair! I never win hide and seek or tag against her," the boy said, starting to pout.

She's in the shadows? A meta? And one with a similar power set to Signal no less. Hmmmm.

Bruce began making his way back to the boy. "Then where is she right now?" he asked.

The boy shrugged, as he returned to his drawing once again. "I don't know. Sometimes she leaves and doesn't return for days. Since you're around, I don't think she's coming back for a while."

Great, just great. He had managed to scare off a little boy's only guardian in the middle of the night. Good going Bruce. he chided himself. He crouched down next to the boy again. "Do you know how to get home? Maybe we can wait for your friend there."

The boy turned to Bruce again. "Sure do!" he said, puffing out his chest. " 'cause I'm a big boy and big boys know how to get home on their own." he recited.

That was another point for the growing concerning information checklist. "Okay let's go wait for her then."

The boy's face dropped as he looked longingly at his gargoyle drawing. For a moment, Bruce thought he would have to bribe the kid with a lollipop but instead he held up his arms to be carried. "Okay," he said solemnly.

Bruce exhaled in relief as he picked up the boy. After pulling out his grappling gun he turned to the boy. "Where to...." Shit. Had he really forgotten to ask for the kid's name?

The boy in question didn't seem all too bothered by that fact. "Danny," he answered seamlessly. "And it's that way." Bruce aimed his grappling gun and off they went.

It took Danny all of two directions before he was out like a light. Bruce sighed, switching directions. Yep, he would truly never hear the end of it.

If we're imagining an early accident, then what if Jazz became something a lot like Spectra? A shadowy being with empathic ghost powers...and bc she hasn't been feeding on ppl she doesn't have a corporeal form

Following her bb brother around and saving what bursts of power she can to relocate him to safety or steal necessities for him

Bc if Danny's only five then Jazz is only seven

Or hear me out. The shadow lady friend is Gotham acting as guardian for both Jazz and Danny. Keeping both of them hidden from their parents after the accident.

Gotham purposefully left Danny where her knights could find him. And will soon send Jazz to meet them. Knowing she's leaving them in good hands.

In Need Of Adoption

The Fentons were successful in prying Phantom away from their boy, but that didn't mean that the damn ghost didn't come back to kidnap Danny while he was recuperating from the operation that depossessed him.

Or, the one where Phantom and Danny are permanently separated by their parents, and Phantom feels like he must protect his human form at any cost, even if they have to flee their home in Amity Park.

(Phantom wants protection, for himself and his human half. He's in search of foster parents to replace the Fentons and will evaluate potential candidates with a keen eye.)

(Human Danny has long since determined that his ghost half has gone nuts after what their parents did to them, but they do need help, so he pushes for Phantom to consider other heroes as potential candidates for parenthood.)

Batman sits by the side of the roof and keeps his heat vision goggles aimed at a closed store. It was late but that didnt matter.

Because they had found Phantom.

But his, and Bruce will keep calling him a him no matter what the GIW likes to say, seemed to contradict what they were told to suspect.

You see, when a government agency came to the Justice League that there was an entire race that was non sentient and violent they had been doubtful. Especially when Martian confirmed that they had been not completely truthful.

However, the situation changed when it came to light that one of these ghosts had kidnapped a child. A ghost hunters child.

However, this just didnt add up. How can people call a race bith completely malicious yet non sentient? Say that they only had bad intentions yet couldnt feel pain.

More important however. How the GIW did not want the Justice League to speak with anyone within Amity. Obviously, Bruce asked his children to do some recon for him, as civilians.

And the information they brought back proved that they were right to have doubts. Children who adored Phantom. Stories on Phantom going out of his way to save humans. Stories on how Phantom battled his own kind to save the very people and ghost hunters that hunted him.

Most importantly.

The stories of Samantha Manson. Tucker Foley and Jasmine Fenton.

The three closed to the victim of kidnaping Daniel Fenton.

Samantha, just call me Sam, had snorted when someone asked if she was worried. And she had said 'i wouldnt have needed to worry if those idiots had just listened to Danny' when asked to explain more she refused.

Tucker had been more anxious. When asked if he was afraid if Phantom would hurt Daniel he had spoken easily 'he would never hurt Danny. I dont think he would even be able to.' When asked to explain he had looked alarmed and said to just ignore what he said and he had ran off.

Jasmine Fenton had been calmest. They had asked her and she had just stared at them. Sources had confirmed that the daughter of the ghost hunters was very protective over her younger brother. She had had this considering look before she spoke slowly 'Danny and Phantom have a complicated relationship but neither hold any ill intent to the other. If only our parents had believed Danny none of this would have happened' after which she spoke about how interesting it was how people with strong believes often had the hardest time seeing the truth.

Now. Bruce had found Phantom and right in his own home city. Gotham. People would expect the invisibility to be hard to work around but it seemed that Phantom ran a few degrees cooler than the surrounding area. Bruce did not see a reason to inform the GIW. After all. It seemed like Phantom had been here for days already and nothing had suggested that he had ill intent.

Bruce rises to right himself as he speaks to the comms "oracle. I have located Phantom. Once again in a grocery store. One of the bigger chains"

He listens closely as he waits while watching the cold spot move slowly around the room.

Oracle hums in his ear "i have located him. It seems he is staying near the vegetables. I dont see any electronics missing and from the looks of it he didnt take the money. But as a ghost we cant be sure"

Batman hums his acknowledgement as he hears that Tim is enroute to his location.

The cold spot moves and Batman grabs his grappler "i will try and follow him again." They had all followed Phantom to see if they could use the routes to locate his base of operation. They had narrowed it down to an area not to far from here.

Phantom moves carrfully and silently. Not once becoming visible but not going very fast. As if he is afraid to be spotted.

It doesnt take long as the cold spot stops by a rundown building. Batman cant see him but with the way the cold spot hovers near a few windows he can only assume that he is checking if he was followed.

Then the cold spot disappears into the building. Bruce gives his children the update on the location and waits for his backup to arrive.

Surprisingly it is Jason first.

Jason doesnt look at him as he huffs "this is close to my area".

Which, is a lie, but jason had been very interested in this case and Bruce will let it slide. He welcomes any excuse to have his son near.

Bruce nods "of course. I saw the cold spot following phantom disappear into this building. We will stsrt with just getting closer and a layout. Hopefully a clue for the situation"

Jason huffs but agrees and they move in. They open one of the many windows and enter a dark building. It seems empty and they har nothing. They explore the space and eventually hear something

"-ny. I know you feel sick but you need to eat. I thought you liked apples?"

That... isnt quite the voice they heard from recordings but it kinda fits phantom. They give a nod to one another and follow the sound.

Soft muttering but no clear words.

"I am sorry. Just a little? You need vitamins danny"

They stop and share a look. That is confirmation that phantom and danny are indeed traveling together. They move faster and find a door with some light coming under it. They creak it open.

The room is dimly lit. They see some fenton tech taken apart and in pieces. But most obvious. A large pile of pillows and blankets with in it Daniel Fenton.

But... he looks sick. He is pale and shaking even with three blankets wrapped around him.

Phantom is floating by him. Holding a bottle of vitamin water and some fruits. A pile of food not to far from them and next to that first aid kits and supplies.

Danny ends up sighing and taking the drink. He sips it as he shivers. Phantom moves to the side and takesout another blanket to put around Daniel.

Phantom looks panicked "i should have come back sooner. I am sorry."

Daniel shakes his head "i am okay" which is just a straight lie "i can sleep after i drink this?"

Phantom looks guilty "almost. I wanted to talk about our plan" daniel pulls a face and phantom looks even sadder "i know i know i promise i will be quick?"

And he waits.

Daniel seems to consider it but nods with a sigh "okay. Just short"

Phantom smiles and even shines brighter as he rushes to the side and grabs a board. It is covered with Justice League members and other powerful people.

Phantom smiles "okay! So i have been making a list of new parent possibilities for you-"

Excuse what?!

"-and after some thinking you obviously need someone rich for your new health issues."

Daniel, Danny, frowns "they arent that bad"

Phantom looks unimpressed "i have needed to get your heath going four times already. You need financially stable parent of parents" he turns back to his board and continues "nowm this city is nicez especially with Lady Gotham being okay with us being here. Meaning we can probably check out some of the rich ones here!"

Danny frowns "they need to be okay with you too."

Phantom looks over shocked

Danny sighs loudly and tired "i am not just going to leave you behind. We are in this together until the end"

Phantom seems to not know what to do with it "so... you are saying...?"

Danny answers "one of the heroes? They didnt agree with the anti ecto laws roght? And martian would know we are speaking to truth... also alien" he smiles

Phantom nods slowly "okay... but hear me out... imagine how mad vlad would be if you just got adopted by a rich dude"

Danny actually seems to consider it before shaking his head "it is his fault that my parents did this to us to begin with. I am not risking more normal people. We need someone in the know and fully aware of the risks"

Phantom frowns but nods as he starts removing people from the list.

This... this is a lot more complicated

Two things happened at that exact moment as Bruce watched his second oldest make his offer.

The first thing was all his other chidlren shouting through the comm as they had been listening in as always.

The second thing was Phantom turns his head a 180 degrees to stare Jason down before the rest of his body follows and he stands between Jason and Danny.

Danny meanwhile looks confused at Jason and mutters "Red Hood? But... how..." He frowns as he shoots Phantom a glance and mutters harshly "you got us to Crime Alley?! Of all places?! I though Gotham told us to try and stay away from there!"

Phantom twists to focus on Danny as he keeps side glancing Red Hood "i didnt! I swear! It is like a few blocks away from his area!" Phantom turns back and glares at Jason as he growls lowly "what do you want?"

Jason looks calm and Bruce can hear the smile in his voice as he speaks "didnt i just tell you? You can move in with us. You know. The bat family?"

Danny frown "the furries?"

Jason freezes before he starts laughing and leaning against the wall. Danny seems to realise he said that out loud and looks down embarresed.

Bruce calmly steps into the door and he can see Phantom's focus shift from Jason to him. Phantom tenses and Bruce stops moving closer.

Bruce cant help but notices that Phantom is very expressive. He can see that Phantom feels threatened as he hovers closer to Danny. Danny notices too and reaches of him and mutters softly "phantom. It is okay... lets... hear them out?" Phantom shoots him a disbelieving look. Danny grins "i mean it"

Phantom groans as he rubs his face "you are so naive sometimes" danny looks insulted as he crosses his arms.

"Oh that is rich coming from you. Remember the cape?" Which seem to embarres Phantom as he sputters and green covers his face.

Bruce can not believe that anyone would ever call this boy non sentient or unfeeling.

Jason takes another step closer and Phantom realises only now that Jason had been moving the whole time. He teists and growls at Jason but jason just crouches down next to the nest.

"So..." jason sounds very relaxed "i am not gonna lie. You look like shit"

Danny shrugs "i mean. It is about how i feel" he tilts his head at Jason as he looks him up and down and... fog exists his mouth.

Danny frowns as phantom seemed shocked as well. Phantom moves to hover next to danny for a moment before laying with the human in the nest. Danny looks at jason and shoots phantom a look. Phantom shrugs.

Danny nods as he turns back to Jason "with the risk of sounding very rude here. And i am not asking any when or how or why. Just... if i am right".

Jason chuckles "go for it"

Danny takes it and ask instantly "did you die before?"

Silence in the room. Phantom looks anxious between jason and danny while jason just stares.

Bruce even hears the comm go silent.

Danny ends up looking down at his hands "sorry... guesd that was to much... ghost culture is still hard to get correct-"

Jaosn shakes his head and actually removes his helmet, still having his normal mask underneath "it is fine kid. You just... surprised me... how... how did you know?"

Danny frowns as he shoots phantom an unsure look.

Phantom looks to the side before answering slowly "danny... danny has a thing... he can... sense ghosts. It is a very rare ability. The fog you saw? Yeah. That is it."

Bruce frowns "but how did he know that it was Red Hood and not you that triggered the reaction?"

Phantom shrugs "i dont set off the ghost sense for Danny"

That... just calls forth more questions.

Jason frowns but takes a seat "so... weird magical ghost related ability. Is that why you two hang out?"

Phantom snorts "nah."

Danny sighs wishfully "if only it was that simple" he frowns as he looks from bruce to jason before looking at Phantom "what do you think?"

Phantom hums as he flies over to his board and list and points at their hero names on there which bruce feels very proud of. Phantom hums "i mean. I had them as option. I figured with you being used to having your big sis you would do well with having siblings in any new family. At least until jazz can find you and join you again"

Danny shoots him an unamused look "i mean with telling them about things"

Phantom blinks "oh... well... yeah? Duh?" He waves into bruce direction "it is batman dude. If anyone can fix this mess it is him."

Danny nods as he thinks for a moment. He waves between the two of them and phantom frowns before shaking his head. Danny seems to understand as he gives a nod before turning back to Bruce "it isnt... an easy issue... you sure it is okay if we..." he frowns as he seems lost for words.

Bruce nods "you two can stay with us. We will havr to figure out whwre you can safely stay." He cant just put them in the manor. That would risk their identities. Maybe the watch tower?

Phantom grins "awesome! But... euh... like... anywhere in gotham would work!"

Jason leans over "why specifically here?"

Danny answers "because gotham is cursed and Gotham herself has contained siad curse. It manages to hide phantom's ecto signal"

Bruce pauses for a moment while jason lets out a long curse.

Phantom grins "also! Gotham is very nice and she said she is okay with us staying here!"

Bruce sighs before turning slightly. Tim knocks on the door as he sneaks a look inside "hey batman... euh... do the others still need to come or what is the plan?"

Jason grins as he looks over "they can stay in one of oir safe houses. I got one close by."

Bruce feels himself nod "that will work for now. While we figure things out." He turns to phantom and Danny "how can we best move you-"

Phantom hovers over to Danny "i got this!" He easily lifts Danny and Danny moves around to hold unto Phantom easily.

But just. Hear me out for a second.

Do Halfas Need To Breathe In Ghost Form?

Okay so this is a really lowkeye "debate" (I say that in quotes because it's more just that people have different headcanons and tbh this is the best way anyway because, you know, fuck canon death of the author and all) as to whether or not Danny needs to breathe in halfa form. And while I, like most people, just sorta decide whether or not he needs to breathe based on whatever my fanfic plot needs, I actually think, canonically at least, there is some solid evidence that no, actually, they don't need to breathe in ghost form.

There's a few times in canon where Vlad is choking Danny mid-fight and Danny looks more mildly annoyed than seriously panicked about it, but you can largely chalk that up to Kid's TV Screening Filters, so I don't put much weight on those.

However, there are some moment that sticks out more than the rest. And that's when Danny and Vlad are in space.

Yeah, uh, I'm talking about Phantom Planet.

So initially, both Danny and Vlad are shown to be wearing helmets that presumably have oxygen filtering through them. Now now, I know what you're thinking: Lexx, wouldn't this mean that they do need to breathe in ghost form?

My theory isn't that they can't breathe in ghost form, my theory is that they don't need to breathe in ghost form. There's a difference.

I also think that they probably don't exactly want to test the theory if they have to breathe or now. Better safe than sorry, so let's wear helmets!

(Also, side note, this furthers the other lowkeye "debate" as to whether or not they get seriously cold in their ghost forms because, uh, they're in space with no spacesuit)

But I digress. Here they are shown with helmets, suggesting that they do have some breathing capabilities, even in ghost form.

But at the end of the episode, we see Vlad here chilling on a space rock, no helmet in sight, looking perfectly fine albeit disappointed and bored.

This, obviously, suggests that halfas do not need to breathe in ghost form. And I think Vlad literally just discovered that as soon as he was ejected to space sans helmet.

So my theory is, while Danny and Vlad have the organs required for breathing and do breathe as a reflex automatically, when put in situations like outer space where oxygen is not available, their ghost half takes over a little more and they stop breathing. I think this is such an automatic thing that when this change happens in day to day life (like Danny being choked by Vlad mid ghost-fight), that like how us humans don't actively think about breathing, we just kinda do it, they don't really notice it either.

So that's my theory. I'm so sorry for needing to cite Phantom Planet here. I'm sure there's other things you can pull from canon too, but this was just the most obvious. Again, headcanons ftw, okay peace out ✌️

The worst thing is that he just up and disappear, with no notice nor ominous sign to follow. Not even his goons know where he is. The last time they saw him he was on his own brewing something.

While Batman was busy with his own city, someone is attempting to call the JL via hacking into the Watchtower. Cyborg is trying to stop the hacker while alerting the other members about looking out for intruders. There’s a popup on the screens that reads “PLEASE PICK UP”.

“Should we get it?“ Superman asks.

“Of course not! That could be a trap from the hacker.“ Flash argues.

“I’m scanning the call, but it doesn’t seem like it’s a virus to me. The hacker is stopping me from tampering with the transmitting call so unless we pick it up it’d just stay there. It’ll take me a few days to track down this hacker. They’re good.“ Cyborg informs.

“I say we take it, they could be in dire situation and are desperate for our help.” Wonder Woman states.

They decide to take the call after a short argument. The voice that comes up sounds young.

“Oh shit they pick up. Uh hi I’m a huge fan-”

Another voice rumbles, this one filled with statics.

“WE HAVE NO TIME FOR THIS TUCK!”

“Oh right sorry, uh can we speak to Batman? We have some very important news for him and we need him NOW”

“What seems to be the problem?” Superman asks.

The static voice practically screams, the sound scratching into their ears like sandpaper.

“TELL BATMAN TO GO TO AMITY PARK AND PICKUP JOKER RIGHT NOW MY PARENTS ARE ABOUT TO DI- er VIVISECT HIM! DON’T BRING ANY SUPERS!“

The call ends at that.

- They pickup Joker’s signal.

- Shit hits the fan

- Joker tries all forms of threats and manipulations he can do in his situation and the Fentons are having none of it. “No gatekeep, gaslight, or girlboss your way out of the dissection table scum!” (would it be worse if the Fenton don’t even consider liminals to be human?)

Batman: Away From Home

Dimension travel is not new.

Meeting doppelgängers or alternates certainly isn't either.

However, finding a dimension where Martha and Thomas Wayne were alive and took up the career of being the kind ghost hunters that didn't hesitate to hurt their own son (who, by all means, was the local Bruce Wayne of that dimension; just a tad more ghostly than usual) was something that made Bruce sick to his core.

Alternative dimension being like distorted funny mirrors and what could have been are so good. Nothing fucks you up like the knowledge that if your parents were still alive and slightly to the left they would have absolutely hated you in an intrinsic level to the point of dissection. On the other hand, they canonly tend to accept Phantom... even though Danny usually undoes the reveal, so we don't see if they keep it up after the initial confrontation.

Anyway, anyone comparing The Batman who laughs to Dark Danny yet?

Vlad being an Alfred that needs to mellow down is so interesting! Like, Alfred himself would act like Vlad was behaving like a child, because that's how he viewed his past self. Vlad is this awkward reminder that Alfred was not always put together as he is now.

I think Vlad being another Alfred is interesting, even though if you're someway in another dimension it doesn't mean you're the same in another, the character depth it offers is really interesting. In DC then, 'Vlad' got what he wanted before he had any way to act, but his love interest also died, and now he has to take care of an entire grieving child on his own, that would absolutely change him. I don't think he would try to change 'Danny' in that verse, because he only became interested in DP Danny after he had powers, he genuinely became attached overtime, but it took effort. You know those people with main character syndrome? yeah, he deals with that first, otherwise Bruce would have been a mess in an entirely different way.

I think Alfred would react the same way I do when I think of my middle school years... or my high school years. It's one thing to know you've changed but it's another to see it right there, but if anything he would be glad he didn't show how much of a mess he was. I know that some stories have Alfred as an ex agent, but he could have also had debt to pay and being a butler doesn't require a lot of papers depending on the time period, that and if we go with the Waynes being like the Fentons they could just accept him if he needs help, they might be oblivious to a lot of things but they aren't actively evil to people (pay attention to what they define as people tho). It definitely helped that Bruce was a young, grieving child, he wouldn't have payed as much attention as he would have as an adult.

If we were realistic about things, Danny would definitely have some major trust issues growing up. It depends on the setting and world-building, but he at least has his parents actively want to destroy his other identity, and the only guy who understands him in a fundamental level wants to destroy his personality and groom him to be just like him. That could easily become paranoia in the future, and sometimes the show does display him being prepared like with training, I remember seeing Team Phantom use the lab computer as a way to keep track of their enemies to make sure their schedule was free for a weekend, iirc that was the release of Technus from the Doom game (bat computer anyone?); but he is still a kid who mostly uses his powers to survive his crazy existence.

Vlad would think Alfred has everything he ever wanted yet never did anything with it, where's the ambition? Where's the plan to benefit him? It's infuriating to him, such wasted potential!

Bruce however, now has the knowledge that this version of Alfred actively tries to groom him, and now not only is he questioning the few remaining memories he has of his parents, he is also trying to see how this version of the man who raised him be like this? He knows, logically, that it's another dimension, there's no need for them to be similar, but there must be some correlations there somewhere, and it's driving him insane.

Also, he is Batman in one dimension, the main non powered hero from the Justice League, and in this one he has more powers combined than a Kryptonian... wait, what is the colour of the ectoplasm again? oh boy-

Jazz existing would blow Bruce's mind. Love the idea of her being Harley (or even Barbara,) but I feel like Jazz would have to be adopted for that to make sense? What with Jack and Maddie being Thomas and Martha. And imo I don't like that for Jazz's character. Being a Fenton is a part of her whether she likes it or not—and she would JUMP on being adopted as a form of separating herself from them.

But Bruce just having a bio sister w no counterpart in his dimension would leave him shook. Like he tries to be normal about it but truly can't.

(Jazz would be SO disappointed at the lost opportunity to psychoanalyze another version of herself.)

Sam is Poison Ivy — she dyes her hair bc Goth. Tucker is Lucius Fox ofc. Both are ecstatic w their Gotham counterparts and are the only happy campers in the au lmao

Valerie Gray as Selena Kyle ONLY if Val has a deep-seated hatred for stealing and lying. We've already seen that she is the hardest worker and will claw herself up from nothing by her fingernails. And yeah she's a cat person (not like THAT tho) but truly the biggest difference is Val having a safe and loving childhood.

I am here for Vlad being Alfred! Pls imagine how hard that would be for Danny to wrap his brain around.

Oh man. Not only will Bruce have an uphill battle getting Danny to trust him if he wants to adopt him—but he would also need to adopt Jazz.

Another aspect of this hell dimension for Bruce is that nothing the Fentons are doing is illegal. (Except the traffic violations.) Not even the unethical experimentation upon sentient beings.

Bruce needs his young counterpart's help getting back to his home dimension. The biggest struggle, however, is finding a way to help Danny when he is so determined to stay with his evil parents.

"Maybe she's just freaking out over nothing?" Danny unconsciously wiped his mouth and checked his clothes for crumbs before pressing the flashing switch.

The speakers buzzed. "—ick up, pick up, pick—"

"Um, hello?" Danny ventured.

"HE PICKED UP—wait, no, I mean HE WOKE UP!"

"The Joker?" Sam squawked.

"It's only been—" Danny blinked in confusion at his bare wrist. His panicked mind swirled is he forgot how long it had been, except that it had been way too soon!

"He woke up EARLY!" Jazz wailed. "He's probably really used to sedatives! Oh, this is all my fault; I should have thought of that—"

"Stop making it about you," snapped Danny. Then, more kindly, added, "It's not your fault."

"Move it—" Tucker tried to bully the Giant inflatable Jack Fenton out of the pilot's seat and failed. It appeared to be attached to the seat by the ass. He gave up and sat on its lap.

"Is anyone hurt?" Danny asked, face pale. His eyes flicked from the JAZZY-PANTS on the screen to the windshield dazzled in shades of fire by the setting sun.

"Not yet, but they're going to dissect him!"

"Vivisect, actually." Danny slid both hands down his face. Suddenly, arson didn't seem like such a bad idea.

"We don't have time. I'm hacking the Justice League," declared Tucker, eyes glued on his work. The inflatable Jack Fenton continued steering despite his work on the keyboard.

"They're going to vivisect him, oh my god..." Jazz said despairingly.

Sam squinted at Tucker's screen. Her shaking hands glowed faintly with the dust from contaminated kale chips. "Did you... Already get in?"

Tucker laughed. Sweat beaded his face. "No, but thanks for the vote of confidence!"

"Well, it just looks like—"

"I did some preliminary stuff earlier," said Tucker. "I don't have control of anything yet..."

Danny felt nauseated. "How soon can you do it?"

"Don't rush me, I'm doing my best—"

"Oh no, oh no, oh no," Jazz started chanting. "They're starting, I gotta—okay, I'm setting the couch on fire. I'll—I'll hold them off as long as I can."

"Open the portal and blame it on a ghost!" Danny yelled.

"Love you, little brother. Bye." Jazz hung up without waiting for a response.

Danny grabbed the back of Tucker's seat, breathing quickly. Sam grabbed his arm, grip reassuringly tight.
