Calling all Discord Roleplayers
Hey guys! I know this blog has been fairly dead, but I’m hoping to try and be more active now.
Lately, I’ve been doing most of my roleplays on Discord and I was curious about finding anyone who may be interested in roleplaying with me on there.
Just look over the rules on my page to get a sense of what I expect in roleplays but I would say I’m fairly lenient.
DM or message me if you are interested so I can swap contact info or we can discuss the roleplay.
I am open to everyone, even borderlands 3 characters (AUs exist for a reason), so I look forward to plotting with some of you!
Have a wonderful day!
Bonus: If you can roleplay as one of the Calypso twins (I love them so much).
I made this cursed meme and I don’t regret anything
What is better than drawing some way too edgy Angel? I miss her okay?
Black and White Angel is aesthetic and one can fight me on that!
(Please don’t actually, okay bye)

ERASE the idea that America saved lives by dropping two atomic bombs on Japan from your minds. ERASE the idea that it was anything more than a political move to scare Russia and also to satiate US curiosity as to the true ability of nuclear weapons. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were not military bases. They were heavily populated civilian cities chosen precisely bc the U.S. wanted to see how many people an atomic bomb could kill in one go. Japan was on the verge of surrendering, the U.S. literally wanted to test out their nuclear weapons on people that they deemed disposable. That is it. If those bombs were dropped by any nation other than the US veryone involved would have been tried as war criminals.
Also erase the idea that America was the hero of WWII and got into the war because they wanted so save people. They couldn’t have cared less about the victims of the Holocaust, proven by the fact that they turned away so many shiploads of refugees that went on to die at the hands of Nazis.
“the us wanted to see how many people an atomic bomb could kill in one go” oh really? Source your bullshit, asshole
i left out sources bc i figured most tumblr users know how to use google but ok
- Report produced by the U.S Strategic Bombing Group (employed by Truman) to survey the air attacks on Japan concluded that:
“Based on a detailed investigation of all the facts and supported by the testimony of the surviving Japanese leaders involved, it is the Survey’s opinion that certainly prior to 31 December 1945 and in all probability prior to 1 November 1945, Japan would have surrendered even if the atomic bombs had not been dropped, even if Russia had not entered the war, and even if no invasion had been planned or contemplated.” - page 52-56
- Dwight Eisenhower future president and then Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces also said:
“I had been conscious of a feeling of depression and so I voiced to [the then Secretary of War] my grave misgivings, first on the basis of my belief that Japan was already defeated and that dropping the bomb was completely unnecessary, and secondly because I thought that our country should avoid shocking world opinion by the use of a weapon whose employment was, I thought, no longer mandatory as a measure to save American lives.” - page 380
- Admiral William Leahy, one of the highest ranking officials in the US army during WW2 wrote of the usage of the bombs:
“It is my opinion that the use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no material assistance in our war against Japan. […] My own feeling was that in being the first to use it, we had adopted an ethical standard common to the barbarians of the Dark Ages. I was not taught to make war in that fashion, and wars cannot be won by destroying women and children.” - page 441
- General Douglas McArthur, another high ranking US official in the war:
“[When asked about his opinion on bombing Japan] He replied that he saw no military justification for the dropping of the bomb. The war might have ended weeks earlier, he said, if the United States had agreed, as it later did anyway, to the retention of the institution of the emperor.” - page 70-71
- On September 9, 1945 Admiral William F. Halsey commander of the Third Fleet publicly quoted as saying:
“The first atomic bomb was an unnecessary experiment… . It was a mistake to ever drop it… . [the scientists] had this toy and they wanted to try it out, so they dropped it… . It killed a lot of Japs.” - online source
- The US secretary of war, Henry Stimson, speaking to President Truman:
“I was a little fearful that before we could get ready the Air Force might have Japan so thoroughly bombed out that the new weapon [the atomic bomb] would not have a fair background to show its strength.” - diary of Henry Stimson which can be found online here
- Even those deploying the bombs questioned the decision to drop them on civilian cities:
“I thought that if we were going to drop the atomic bomb, drop it on the outskirts–say in Tokyo Bay–so that the effects would not be as devastating to the city and the people. I made this suggestion over the phone between the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings and I was told to go ahead with our targets.” - online source
- Lewis Strauss Assistant to the Navy Secretary James Forrestal on the locations of the bombings:
“I remember suggesting […] a large forest of cryptomeria trees not far from Tokyo. The cryptomeria tree is the Japanese version of our redwood… I anticipated that a bomb detonated at a suitable height above such a forest… would lay the trees out in windrows from the center of the explosion in all directions as though they were matchsticks, and, of course, set them afire in the center. […] Secretary Forrestal agreed wholeheartedly with the recommendation.” - page 145
So to recap:
A lot of American generals were against using the bomb as they felt it served an empty purpose.
Those who agreed with its usage completely disagreed with dropping them on cities.
Truman went ahead and had them detonated in two highly populated civilian cities anyway. Two cities that had remained mostly untouched by regular bombings throughout the war precisely bc of their lack of value to the Japanese war effort.
Draw your own conclusions.
I hope y'all know that this is common knowledge to everyone of every other country
Coming at you with another instrumental cover from the new episode A Single Pale Rose! This is during the big Pink Diamond reveal scene. Not sure what the title is yet so I’m calling it Pearl’s Oath. When Aivi and Surasshu release it on Soundcloud I’ll change the title to match accordingly!
The instruments I used were dolce strings, grand piano, harp, E. Piano 2v and reverse symbols!
Hope you enjoy it!
This is the fastest I have ever spit out an instrumental cover of a song haha!! From the new episode Can’t Go Back!
Now you too can sing Lapis’ long awaited song! The lyrics are below:
It all became so lovely, Those bluest skies above me, Those funny feelings I had never felt before I met you I thought I’d stay a while, I tried to learn to smile, So many colors I had never even known Maybe I’ll find myself sitting on that distant shore Maybe I’m not alone Then I see the colors fading, Gentleness of light escaping, Shadows of my fear invading, Have I seen this all before? I know, that there’s something residing, The terror deep inside me, I couldn’t understand how you could be so bold Maybe I’ll find myself smiling on that distant shore, Maybe I’m not alone
Enjoy!!
Artist friends, let me just tell you a thing. FUCK Wacom. Fuck Wacom and their planned obsolescence, fuck Wacom and their broken drivers, fuck Wacom and their over-priced tablets. For years we’ve dealt with them with no alternatives but let me tell you a thing.
I recently found out my Intuos 4′s Pen had broken and rather than spend £60-89 for a new one I decided to get a new tablet. Now, I could get the new “Intuos” (which is just the re-branded Bamboo) and i was going to until I found this beast.
This is the Huion H610, it has almost twice the drawing space of the low-end Intuos and double the pressure levels. The one and only negative is that the pen requires a battery.
Not only that, it is larger than my Intuos 4 which I paid £150 for back in the day. Know how much this cost? £55. The same as the basic Intuos.
I am in LOVE with this thing. Let’s compare this with the lowest of the low end Wacom Intuos line.
Intuos Huion
Active Area: 6 by 3.7 in 10" x 6.25"
Pressure Levels: 1024 2048
Hard Input Res: 2540 LPI 4000 LPI
Express Keys: 4 8
Not to mention the Intuos is HIDEOUS with buttons that are in incredibly awkward places.
The fact that a £55 matches and exceeds the £150 Intuos 4 I bought years ago speaks worlds. And do you know what the very final nail in the coffin is?
THE DRIVERS. ACTUALLY. WORK.
It’s time Wacom had some real competition in the market, if you’re looking for a new tablet please consider a Huion over a Wacom. I used to be a Wacom fanboy too but now?
Here is the H610 on Amazon UK and Amazon US.
All I can find is good reviews on this thing and people doing the same thing I am doing, trying to convince people it’s worth it. So… You have the information, use it as you will.
@mazzlebee @blarghnessrawr @shibara @plantmandotexeretired and any other artsy people following me who I’m forgetting to tag at 6 in the morning
Fck. I didn’t know they all did this. I thought I was getting a deal buying a Wacom but the driver refused to update after about a year and the pen died around the same time and replacing the pen was nearly as much as a whole new tablet so I bought a different brand. I ended up getting the Huion H610 shown above and it was definitely worth it. Other broke artists please save yourself the headache :/
I’m not an artist, but just a small correction for OP: it’s actually almost 3x the space. Each dimension is almost 2x as long, but the AREA is about 2.8x bigger. So you’re underselling it by saying it’s twice as big.
please get yourself a huon instead of a wacom
I bought a huion a while back and it’s pretty great.
I also have a Huion, and it’s served me well for quite a few years so far!
For reference, I have the GT-220, and it is absolutely incredible. I thought I’d never be able to have a tablet with a screen in it unless I shelled out £1500+ for an Intuos, and although I tried using a Bamboo, I just couldn’t get along with it, and I just assumed that that would be my life. I could either choose to draw well using traditional means, or I could have the ease of editing and correction that comes with digital art, but not both. There’s no way I ever could afford an Intuos.
But then I found this fucking thing, and now I can have my cake and eat it too because I’m drawing on the same surface that I’m looking at, but I’m also able to have the luxury of digital drawing and editing. It’s amazing! I’m delighted with it, and Huion’s customer service is fantastic, too. I’ve had driver issues once or twice, because Windows 10, of course I have, but they’ve been able to solve the problem quickly and painlessly every time.
I can’t recommend Huion enough.
I recently started using a Huion 680S myself after three (3) of my last Wacom tablets crapped out on me, all of them from frayed wires. And while I don’t regret the decision, I did want to mention that Huion tablets are a BITCH to get started. I had a hell of a time getting the drivers installed, and had to reinstall an older version of SAI because the newer one (with transparency) refused to work with it.
So while it’s a great alternative if you’re looking to break free from Wacom’s monopoly and works fine once you get it running, be prepared to wrestle with it first.
I’ve owned two H 610 and now a Q11K wireless and they are just as good as if not superior sensitivity wise for my use. My ONLY caution is that since everyone sets their shit up for wacom sometimes yours wont work EXACTLY right with like key strokes or whatever. But otherwise they’re fantastic tablets for a fraction of the cost. I cannot sing their praises enough
and if you’re looking to just start out with tablets and spend even less I reccomend the basic Ugee/Monoprice wired tablets. They are sensitive and cheap af compared to wacom. I had a monoprice back my last year of college and I did all the same projects as my classmates who still used their intuous’
fuck overpriced brand name tech companies!

How to Make Quick and Easy Tattoo Sleeves
Got a cosplay idea but the character has lots of arm (or leg) tattoos? Don’t feel like painting on yourself with body paints or hunting down that horrendously expensive temporary tattoo paper? Here’s a quick tutorial for making tattoo sleeves using nylons and sharpie markers!
Upsides:
- Supplies are cheap! You may even have many or all the supplies you need right at home.
- Quick and not very messy! No paint is involved, and sharpie marker dries instantly.
- Easy! Great artistic skill not required.
- They move with your skin! People have legit thought these were real tattoos. From a distance, yes, but I had guys at cons with actual ink on their arms come over to compliment on my full (fake) sleeves.
- You get to eat pringles! More on that later.
Downsides:
- They are delicate. Nylons get holes in them super easy and forearms run into stuff, lean against things, and generally make it hard for the sleeves to survive. But if you only need them for a weekend, that’s ok.
- I haven’t experimented too much, but unfortunately this technique probably doesn’t work for wearers with darker skin tones. Sharpie ink is transparent, so any color it rests on just multiplies and the tattoo won’t show up very well. You’ll want to go the fabric paint or body paint route to get the best bold, bright tats.
- Can’t do white sections, because sharpie ink is transparent and doesn’t come in white. I leave them blank and they read OK, but the white areas will always be pink, tan, brown, etc. unless you dab in a little fabric paint, which will not be covered in this tutorial.
- Sharpie is supposed to be permanent marker, but on skin…it’s not. The ink will most likely wear off onto adjacent clothes. Not that big of a deal for me, as I tend to wear my tats with white shirts that can be bleached, but other shirts may not survive as well.
OK, let’s go! Here are your supplies:
You’ll need a pair of nylons, scissors, tape, a set of sharpies, your designs printed out on 8.5 x 11 paper, some bracelets, and a can of Pringles. You can use any design you want, of course, but Here is the link to these fine Newt Kaiju tattoo designs.
If your nylons have an undies part, cut the legs off and wear the undies on your head for the rest of the tutorial, if desired. Put the legs on your arm like so, and cut the toes off so you can slip your hand through. You can cut some of the top of the sleeve off as well, but don’t cut too much because you can’t put it back on if your sleeves are too short.
Here are my creepy sleeves. Now for the pringles.
Tape your design template to the Pringles can. It doesn’t reach all the way around but eh. The Pringles can gives you a nice stable surface to draw on that is roughly the shape and size of an arm. It’s a little short, so just roll up the rest of the nylon above the workspace and adjust both template and nylon down when you get to working on that part of the sleeve.
Color with the markers! I recommend doing the colored areas first and then doing the black outlines on top of it, to avoid the black ink contaminating the ink pads of the lighter markers. Remember how that always happens to the yellow ones? Eww. Nylons are thin and slide around a bit, so it’s best to use short strokes and dotting to get the ink on.
Take the template off the Pringles tube, flip the paper to the blank side and put it back on again. The paper collects the extra ink, so it’s hard to see any missed spots. Now you can see any bits you may have missed. Fill them in for completion. Also, the paper doesn’t manage to wrap all the way around the Pringles can, so now is the time to free-hand a bit of the design where the template doesn’t reach. For Newt tattoos, that’s the back of the arm.
When you’re all done coloring, put them on!
There’s a rough end to the tattoo right at the wrist, of course. Disguise where the sleeve ends and your skin begins with some pretty bracelets:
There we are, much better!
Now…you’re done! Have some Pringles!
SLAMS THE REBLOG BUTTON
from a tattooist perspective: use the navy sharpie not the black or blue for your lines, they will look like healed black ink.
This is amazing. Particularly “if your nylons have an undies part, cut the legs off and wear the undies on your head for the rest of the tutorial, if desired.”
If the Most Recent Windows Update Just Screwed over Your Drawing Tablet:
There are some solutions and workarounds for turning off Windows Ink, which seems to be the root of the problem of making people’s pens go crazy. It will make your tablet actually start working decently again with your normal commands/gestures, but due to some kind of bug or whatever, turning off Windows Ink also disables pen pressure. So how do fix for a workaround?
The first is the Photoshop Fix that was found by @mandyjacek (click for the thread!) where you have to go into Photoshop’s files and add in a txt file you can write very simply yourself that forces Photoshop to use the TabletPC API instead of the WinTab API. After a restart, it began working for me again more or less like it should.
The Second is in SAI:
i was almost as if the developer knew there were gonna be some bullshittin’ down the road and gave us an option. I haven’t seen a fix for CLIP STUDIO or other art programs yet, but this is at least a start until Windows and Wacom get get back to seeing one another eye-to-eye again.
These have at least worked for me, and I hope for you all as well.
A heart’s a heavy burden
