Sometimes I just ruin my own day by remembering Loid was destined to repeat his biggest childhood trauma on his own child once he grew up.

Like, sure, it's a good thing Bond changed it, but how cruel can life be to have him survive such a thing as a kid, grow up to save any other children from being a war victim the way he was, but then die the same way his mom did, having his daughter find him the same way he found his mother, and quite likely his death being the trigger of a new war, leaving his child in the same situation he was? This is the worst.

The way Twilight just falls to his knees upon seeing Yor’s smile, yeah…that’s relief on a whole other level. His body is already where his mind hasn’t caught up to yet. Looking at the house, thinking he might’ve never come back, that Yor was still going to be upset, only to walk in and have her smile so warmly at him, it’s disarming in the best way. He’s not losing his edge. He’s finally learning that maybe there are places where that sharpness, the vigilance isn’t necessary at all. It’s why he keeps almost letting his guard down at home and then was chastising himself for the possibility.

Like Yor says “you don’t need to be that perfect”, because he was trying to be the image of the “mission perfect” husband. But in this home he doesn’t have to be on mission all the time, it’s why his body gave out when he saw Yor’s smile, because it’s the one place he can relax and it’s ok…it’s safe. And for Twilight, Wise’s ace-in-the-hole spy, that would feel like losing your edge but I think it’s the best beginning of this “family” becoming more real. ❤️
