Hypnos’ connection to memory is actually such a lifesaver

I’ll be kept awake at night utterly HAUNTED by embarrassing interactions I’ve had, start rambling like “omg please this is unbearable let me forget it”, and all of a sudden I just can’t for the life of me remember the specifics and the memory just goes fuzzy

I never consciously do this but man am I glad I do 🙏

Just unpacked my travel altar and noticed Lucifer’s bracelet thing I made a while ago got crushed into a heart shape and won’t go back to normal no matter what I try

Ever since Dionysus showed up I’ve been seeing leopard print fucking EVERYWHERE and I’ve already bought four things I saw, one of which I didn’t even realise it was leopard print until I got home. Like, thank you, it’s cool, but please bro stop tempting me I want to keep my money 🙏

Told Anubis he can give me a little wink wink nudge nudge if there’s anything he wants from the thrift shops because I don’t have anything for him yet, then when I’m there I end up standing there for a good ten minutes trying to ignore the overwhelming compulsion to buy this because “it’s probably nothing”

Instinctively grabbed it super fast literally last second as I was walking off to pay in the end 😭

I haven’t been worshipping Hypnos for a long time, and I haven’t really done much yet, but it’s been genuinely helpful.

I have ptsd and night time brings about most of my issues. Most night I can’t sleep properly because I spend hours at a time panicking and feeling like I’m gonna die just because I heard a few cracks throughout the house or something.

I’ve noticed ever since I started worshipping Hypnos, I’ve been feeling less of this extreme fear and more of just a compulsion to get up and check things which is a massive improvement. Most nights I still can’t get through it all without staying awake for a few hours at a time because of one thing or another, as usual, but I’ve found that on nights I just can’t deal with all the ptsd bullshit (and end up crying to myself or begging for a peaceful night for once) I haven’t been scared at all and have slept through the whole night without interruptions. I can’t remember ever going a night without freaking out like usual and actually sleeping properly prior to this.

This could all just be a big coincidence ig but idk. Just felt like sharing this.

Apollo gave me the biggest jumpscare today

Periods 1-4 today we had our standardised testing (basically just tests we do every year so the school can see where we’re at)

Last night I was yapping to him about how I’d be so screwed if the writing test was a short story this year since it was a persuasive last year and I assumed they’d switch it up (I’m good at writing, the problem is I can’t come up with something on the spot, it takes me days, weeks, months even to write something)

I was being really unserious about it, like “please bro I’m so cooked please let it be a persuasive”, just dumb rambling

Anyways, we get to today. The math test is period 3, and after the math test we had writing. During the math test out of nowhere there’s a question about a boat called Apollo? It caught me so off guard cuz like. Why on earth is there a math question about a boat named Apollo? I found it kinda random and funny but then I just felt stupidly relieved and I wasn’t sure why at the time

You can probably see where this is going. We get to the writing test and it’s a persuasive. I’m not cooked. Yay. Thanks Apollo even though the test was written ages ago and you had nothing to do with it. Also why are you a boat in my math test

I'd like to think that when we die, we never die alone. I believe that Thanatos waits beside us, there to hold our hand as our souls leave our bodies. I believe that Hermes takes our other hand, guiding us from this life to the next. I believe that Charon sits us down on his boat, transitioning fully from the world of the living to that of the dead. I believe that when we enter through Haides' gates, even then, we are not alone as we're accompanied with other souls - maybe some people we know, and others we don't. And when I take my rest in the Fields of Asphodel, there'll be other content souls, resting amongst the flowers beside me as we spend our afterlives in peace within King Haides' beautiful kingdom.
