when georges bataille wrote, “no greater desire exists than a wounded person’s need for another wound” & when gillian flynn wrote, “a child weaned on poison considers harm a comfort” & when ocean vuong wrote, “sometimes being offered tenderness feels like the very proof that you’ve been ruined” & when lisa m. basile wrote, “did you inherit a sickness? did you blame god? do you believe in god? do you believe in yourself? are you still on fire? did you ever put out the fire?” & when stephen a. guirgis wrote, “why didn't you make me good enough so that you could’ve loved me?”

Part 54 was a fucking rollercoaster
with this new information that malev54 brought me i shall now relisten to every episode in s3 aka Arthur Lester's Crashout & Friends because its going to be so fucking funny knowing what i know now
this podcast makes me want to die
why did they word it out like how old newspapers used to call gay couples lmao? "john doe shared his life with his friend arthur" I Know What You Are .
very much a fan of this post so i felt compelled to make my own. print it out and give it to your coworkers or hang it in your cubicle and go "don't make me tap the sign"
if i had a nickel for everytime a very special favorite character of mine had to dig theirselves out of their own coffin, i'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice
“you can’t see this, but you have the cold, calculated demeanor of someone not to fuck with.”
anne boyer “the harm will come: it never doesn’t” / julia armfield “to watch a horror movie is to know that something bad is going to happen. to have a body is really the same thing” / hilary mantel “we don’t have to invite pain in, it’s waiting for us: sooner rather than later” / marie howe “you know how we’ve been waiting for the big pain to come? I think it’s here. I think this is it. I think it’s been here all along” / gregory orr “I want to go back to the beginning. we all do. I think: hurt won’t be there. but I’m wrong” / toni morrison “the hurt was always there” / torrey peters “pain that had to be endured, withstood, pain that was the same as being alive, and so without end”
#that one line from sharp objects … #do you ever feel like bad things are going to happen and you can’t stop them? you can’t do anything you just have to wait?
#THE lake mungo quote #I feel like something bad is going to happen to me. I feel like something bad has happened. it hasn’t reached me yet but it’s on its way
jenny holzer : THERE IS A PERIOD WHEN IT IS CLEAR THAT YOU HAVE GONE WRONG BUT YOU CONTINUE. SOMETIMES THERE IS A LUXURIOUS AMOUNT OF TIME BEFORE ANYTHING BAD HAPPENS.
#/ hanya yanagihara ‘‘you know one day that it will happen and then that day comes and you never have to feel afraid again’’
People say “phase” like impermanence means insignificance. Show me a permanent state of the self.
I think kafka’s diaries are the strongest evidence that journaling is not necessarily good for your mental health
it's because he didn't use washi tape
no i didnt get that from a video essay im a little more well read than that thanks. i got it from the abstract for a study i didnt read the rest of
u survive literally every single event in your life & still every time a new event happens you feel like this is the event that will kill you and that you will never move on from but actually you will continue to survive like you always have bc u have a 100% win rate of surviving events. btw
Dust by Dorianne Laux
Someone spoke to me last night, told me the truth. Just a few words, but I recognized it. I knew I should make myself get up, write it down, but it was late, and I was exhausted from working all day in the garden, moving rocks. Now, I remember only the flavor — not like food, sweet or sharp. More like a fine powder, like dust. And I wasn’t elated or frightened, but simply rapt, aware. That’s how it is sometimes — God comes to your window, all bright light and black wings, and you’re just too tired to open it.
ID: tweet by user "h b" that reads: i was visited by a being of pure light and it told me to do some stuff but i forgot what exactly /end ID
