Doing optimisation.
Got rid of nanite, anti-aliesing or however it’s spelt, and luman, also probably more that I forgot.
Good news, lower end devices can now run Lil Man.
Bad news, everything is now broken.
Fixing light issues but now the nav mesh on a lot of levels are broken, so that’s fun. The bricks are also now staticy and kinda shit.
But the game runs better now so that’s a plus.
Also meet hit new titular character Cow Woman.

Lil Man update.
I’ve also started doing the blocking out of level eight. Not adding anything too permanent or adding that many models as I don’t want to make the side of the demo bigger from things that aren’t even gonna be in it.
The side of the game, (in terms of the scope), keeps changing. At first it was 3 levels, then 6-10, and now something between 11-20 levels with 2-3 pre-rendered cutscenes. No clue when the game will be done. So far I think the demo is around 20 minutes long? Not including some of the Easter eggs n’ stuff.
Things that work in fiction but not real life
torture getting reliable information out of people
knocking someone out to harmlessly incapacitate them for like an hour
jumping into water from staggering heights and surviving the fall completely intact
calling the police to deescalate a situation
rafting your way off a desert island
correctly profiling total strangers based on vibes
effectively operating every computer by typing and nothing else
ripping an IV out of your arm without consequences
heterosexual cowboy
This post breaching containment has taught me that a lot of people seem to think they can accurately profile complete strangers. For the record, no the fuck you can't.

Concept art sketch thing I did for level seven.
I know how I want the game to end, and I know things I want to do with the game. Just placing the bits in places now.
Your artstyle is like your gut microbiome in the way its everything you consume and like and it also has all your bacteria up in it. Thats probably how that works
SO TRUE

One of my favorite moments in the game (ignore perspective and coloring and fire and anatomy and...)
The miracle of [[PIPIS]]
TIL in 1896 a temporary, one-day city was named in Texas called Crush, where two locomotives were to be smashed head-on for purposes of spectacle. It was, for a few hours, the 2nd largest city in TX with 40k attendees. The collision caused engine boilers to explode, resulting in death and injuries.

I remembered newspaper comics existed and googled Ziggy to laugh at how shitty it is and this caught me so off guard I nearly threw up
I worked at a small town newspaper at a time we changed our syndicate service so we stopped running ziggy and a woman came in to yell at us about how important ziggy is because it “really has its finger on the pulse of things”
