ZENDAYA as Emma Harwood in The Drama (2026).
alternate universe where Louis takes Daniel home to have his interview, but all the man keeps asking about is 'the guy that was with you', 'is that your boyfriend?' 'what's his name?' 'does he usually follow when you take other men home?' 'how long have you been together?' 'were you cruising for a third?', 'what is your relationship like?', blablabla and when Louis tried to steer the conversation towards his story by showing his teeth, Daniel is like, 'oh my god, is your boyfriend a vampire too?' and well maybe in the end they do manage to have the interview Louis wanted but then when Armand interrupts in the morning, he maybe doesn't have to doubt that Daniel finds him fascinating even though Louis finds him beige and boring.
🤣 Another day, another DM shipper dreaming up trash, cringey & boring fanfic ideas, aimed at erasing Louis, erasing Daniel’s interest in Louis, erase Louis’ interest in Daniel & erase Armand’s feelings for Louis & their relationship. All because it bothers you lot that Louis was the center of his own damn story & that Armand did not give a fuck about that boy, to the point, Louis had to give himself to Armand, just to save him.
like… she has NEVER been that loud about a man EVER! she wrote an ACTUAL LOVE SONG about him had the whole world cheering on her and this beige so so funny looking stretched out nigga w a basketball
and he cheated

proof that men being lightskin make them fucking evil
Men don’t need to be light skin to be fucking evil. Drop this tired ass narrative and get a job. It doesn’t help black women in the least. The last ex she posted also cheated on her in her bed & didn’t care about her alcoholism and depression while having “feminist” tattooed on him. He wasn’t light skin. Is it proof that dark skinned men are fucking evil? Or is it a personality & character flaw? Klay Thompson cheated on his exes. I personally thought she deserved better based on how he treated his exes. But I still wished her the best because I liked to see her happy.
Black women do not benefit from such ridiculous, colorist narrative that pretends like the issue is skin color and not misogyny & the patriarchy.
Stop ranking men based on superficial attributes. They all act the same and their skin color won’t save a woman from being abused and disrespected.
Colorism disguised as activism is trash.
Got reminded again of my old coworker who was a massive misogynist but also trans inclusive. Told me he believed trans women are indeed women because "only women would be stupid enough to want to be women"
I wonder what he's doing now
He also aggressively corrected himself whenever he accidentally misgendered a trans guy we knew because "there's already more women than men in the world, the more numbers we steal from them, the better." Did that even when the trans guy wasn't around.
I need to point out that he was completely serious btw. This man had no sense of humor if he tried.
He was a cook at the restaurant/bar I was a bartender at, and almost punched a costumer once because he overheard him talking about how women belong in the kitchen. Told me he thought women should stay out of kitchens, that cooking is a man's job and when I asked him what he thinks women should be doing, he went quiet for a moment, then proceeded to explain to me the following
"I trust a bitch to run a kitchen as much as she can run a country, they should do shit like plumbing. Or electricity. Something you can just learn to do and don't need to lead, you know?"
Apparently women are good at "fixing shit". He claimed that he doesn't trust male plumbers or electricians except if they're gay because "something most be wrong with you if you want to go fix other people's houses, that's that maternal instinct"
Love that you guys seem to like the stories about my Guy, here's another. (also for context i need to say that english is not the language he spoke, and when i say 'fag', i'm using it for our version of the slur. Our Guy insisted that that's just how you call gay people in our language (it isn't))
We had an openly gay coworker who looked like it (crop tops, dyed hair, make-up) and he was often harassed by the waiters from the football bar next door. The gay dude had the same name as the Guy, who insisted that we would specify the he isn't gay, so they just became "Name" and "Not Gay Name". He was fine with that.
Oh he also once went on a rant about how he respects our gay coworker more than "those other fags" because "at least he has the balls to look like a fag, yknow? None of that sneaky shit where you can't tell if they're trying to fuck you or your girlfriend." When I then told him I was bi, he looked me over and called me some slurs before telling me that I don't need to rub it in that I can get both. Then he asked me if I think he's hot and when I told him no, he informed me I should stick with women because I clearly have shit taste.
He once accidentally bullied one of our younger waitresses out of an early eating disorder she was developing before working there (she told me about it after)
Boss gave us one meal from the menu a day as a job bonus, and we had this very shy seventeen year old working with us who was already nervous around men, but Our Guy was a 6'3 dude who only stopped yelling and cursing when he was not speaking at all. If he was the one cooking that day, he'd peek out of the kitchen an hour before he'd start closing it up, and would shout at you if you haven't ordered your meal yet because he hated cooking once he already cleaned. The waitress was scared shitless of him, and so whenever he would yell at her to "fucking order already", she'd panic and just pick something.
She didn't eat much but the first time she tried to throw out almost the whole plate, he got so personally insulted that he berated her for not picking something she'd like, and demanded to know what he did wrong. He got really upset about apparently not being able to cook something that this kid would like and I'm pretty sure he started putting in extra effort to make sure she would eat it this time? It lead to him quite literally standing over her like a hawk when she ate to "see her reaction" and demand an immediate review to see what he can improve.
She later told me that it she was so scared and awkward around him back then that it kind of overrode her fear of food, and that she still sometimes pretends she's back there, when she feels a bad episode coming on, so. He did do something good for the world i guess
Our Guy met a nonbinary person once when my friend came to visit me at work. He was just on a smoke break so I had to introduce them and when I said "They're visiting" he got confused and asked us how many people are there (and then threatened murder if they dare order something while he's on a break). I had to explain this man what a nonbinary person is, he thought about it for a second, called the whole thing "fucking stupid, there ain't that shit in nature" and then proceeded to very mockingly refer to them as (our language equivalent of) "your majesty" and use the pronouns you use for people you're supposed to respect (which is genderless and very formal)
My friend thought he was really funny before I explained to them that I'm pretty sure he thought he was being mean (but hey he it wasn't misgendering so yay)
Then (after his break) they ordered a vegan sandwich and we heard him cussing them out about how "they should pick a fucking struggle". Later I asked him about it and got told that "how much shit can you deny yourself? Cheese, gender, the fuck's next?"
"Cheese, gender, what the fuck's next?"
I like how his issue isn't with the "that shit ain't in nature" thing he mentioned, but the idea that being nonbinary is some form of self-deprivation and that they deserve a gender like everyone else.

What a FASCINATING person
Adding OP's final addition so we can get it all in one reblog chain.
Absolutely fascinating human, I never ever want to meet him or know what he looks like but want to hear more
A group chain of male worship for a man whose introduction began with “a massive misogynist”.
Typical leftist sjw behavior. Put men on a pedestal & praise them for doing the bare minimum. Meanwhile, they crucify women & call them the devil & the reason why we’ll never defeat the patriarchy when they display any amount of internalized misogyny.
But here is a whole parade for a man who proudly upholds the patriarchy & misogyny. Even a narrative to show how he was a bully for good & a hero.
Are you guys fucking serious?

As much as he had it coming, especially compared to every other tragedy in this show, season 1 finale remains the hardest thing for me to watch. I just can't with Lestat declaring his love for Louis as he slits his throat. Imagine your family and the person you love the most in the world hating you enough to kill you. His acceptance of it makes me very sad. Especially when I think about how he brought this on by clinging to the people he loved and keeping them close at all cost. It was his fear of lonliness and his self fulfilling belief that he's unlovable. The pain on Louis's face also gets me but I also hate him a little for the whole thing.
Lestat brought it on himself by literally threatening to kill Claudia, his own fucking daughter if she ever tried to leave again.
The Lestat who told her that her purpose was to make Louis happy. How about trying to imagine being Claudia with your father & maker saying such cruel things to you & rubbing your rape in your face.
And then try & imagine Louis whose efforts to mend the family together was spit on by Lestat, after forgiving him for brutalizing & dropping him from the sky.
Lestat was the one who decided to lie abt killing Antoinette, then created a scenario for Louis to discover he lied. Then stopped Claudia from leaving because to no one’s surprise, Louis was depressed from his efforts being spit on & all hope for restoring the family destroyed by Lestat. Who turned his mistress to help him spy on his family.
You can hate Louis a little for doing the bare minimum as a father should do when their child is being abused & threatened, but not Lestat who did the threatening & holding prisoner?🥴
The post literally starts with he had it coming 🤨
Fuck you & shut the fuck up.
If you’re gonna stalk an old post to inject a useless comment, the least you can do is not be remedial.
Obviously, my entire comment was all about them hating Louis for doing the right thing, while crying about how sad they were for Lestat getting consequences for his actions & completely lying & downplaying what Lestat did to deserve it.
Everything that followed the “he had it coming” was them actually not believing he had it coming. He did not just “bring it on himself by keeping the people he loved close to him at all cost”. That’s a romanticized spin of his actions. He brought it on himself by reducing Claudia to a tool. By holding her hostage. By threatening violence & death if she ever dared to stop serving her purpose. All of which Louis cannot abide by no matter how much he loved Lestat.
But I know you racist losers don’t care about ever centering Claudia & Louis in their own story. Even the way they talk about his “death” scene, it’s all about “the person he loves”. I guess it at least would be on theme. Considering that Claudia is as relevant to them as she was to Lestat in that moment. Which is not at all. No goodbyes or declarations of love for the daughter he abused.
And despite that, it’s just Louis they hate while crying for the one who made it all happen.
You injected your dumbass first to whine about people ignoring Louis in Lestat post because you’re an unimaginative idiot. And you’re still here crying about it like the loser that you are 🤷♀️
Dude, I’m not reading your babble. Go kick rocks or something. The klan convention is somewhere.

JAYME LAWSON ESSENCE | Behind The Scenes (2026)
My wife.😍
btw this is when louis was plotting to kill lestat and lestat knew that louis was plotting to kill him
This assertion…
How do you imagine this to be true considering that her goal was to always head to Paris to find other vampires?
She is weaker than the coven. And unlike with Lestat, there wouldn’t be a Louis to use & distract them the way she effortlessly did to trick & misdirect him.
If she left Louis then & headed to Paris, there is nothing that supports the idea that Armand & the coven wouldn’t have killed her anyways. In fact, one could claim that without Louis in tow, the coven would have executed her the moment she entered their realm.
Because Armand was interested in Louis, he didn’t give them the permission to execute them immediately.
Claudia needed Louis. It doesn’t matter how unfair it was that she had to deal with his trifling ass, she needed a full fledged adult vampire as a companion.
I think that’s part of her tragedy. When she finally got a fitting one in Madeline, a fully fledged adult vampire who chose her, she barely got a glimpse of how wonderful it was before it was snatched away from her.
It just hurts me that some people don't understand the one of the main points of IWTV is that when a story is told through one perspective the narrative will be skewed to that person's favor! Many people just refuse to see the Louis might be more problematic then he let on from the interview (And that's okay, it honestly makes me like Louis' character more, for one bc it makes him much more complex, and two I love my problematic queens)
I mean why is there no room anymore for "I don't agree with what would've done, but I understand why you did it". idk guys I LOVE these characters and i want them to succeed but I also can see how their evil, and both things can be true at once.
I guess if you don't to some degree believe lestat in the trial then most of this argument seems sort of silly; but as someone who does believe lestat (at least in part) I don't understand the resistance to a problematic Louis, it makes everything more interesting. Also if what was said wasn't true the loustat reunion is much less enjoyable.
If Louis’ perspective is skewed in his favor, then wouldn’t it be the same for Lestat’s perspective? Giving that we don’t have an omniscient pov except in Dubai & post Dubai.
Also, nothing Lestat says in the trial contradict what Louis said. Lestat’s perspective only added a new angle to the same situation & Lestat’s mindset that Louis couldn’t have known.
Lestat’s retelling of his courting of Louis was an intentional misrepresentation, concocted by the coven. It wasn’t the truth. They even had visuals to go with it. I’m fact, most of what the coven presented on screen was a deliberate perversion & misrepresentation of the truth. Anyone who takes any of that as facts is no better than the audience that the coven used to lynch Louis & Claudia.

FUN FACT: The citizens are the ones who constantly choose this flip flopping, see-saw arrangements for reasons we’ll need a whole semester to unpack in detail. It doesn’t have to be like that. But the people love to flip flop back and forth and have committed to the most extreme version of that game they love to play with the last election.
So now here we are. And it hasn’t even been one year yet into his presidency. A presidency unencumbered by a global pandemic.

Testing out the new procreate brushes :]
This is false. The actors have already talked about it. If Lestat only saved Louis, it's because he only had the strength to save one person, and obviously, he was going to choose Louis. You can blame Lestat for choosing Louis over Claudia again (and the same goes for Louis, he basically always chose Lestat over Claudia), in the context where he literally could only choose one and he chose his husband over his daughter. But you can't blame Lestat for only saving Louis when he could also save Claudia. Because it's factually false. Lestat was very weakened and only had the strength to help one person, and obviously, as Lestat always did, he chose Louis. But if he could have saved two people, Lestat would have saved Claudia too, we all know that. Why always try to demonize Lestat more than the biased version of Louis already did ? Not to mention trying to make the actions of a gray, complex character purely evil for Lestat ?
It’s not factually false. If he had the strength to save only one person, that person could have been Claudia. That’s factual. When you say he didn’t save her because he only had the strength to save one person, you’re saying the same thing. He didn’t choose Claudia & he could have if he wanted to.
That is different from the fact that If he had chosen Claudia, it would have been out of character. Because come on, it’s Lestat we’re talking about here.🙃😂
Lestat being able to save one of his family & he chose to save Louis is basically like saying water is wet. The fact that we know who he would choose to save is a sign of good writing. It was a decision we all saw coming. It’s part of the tragedy of Claudia’s character & the circumstances of how she was made. Lestat never wanted her for her. He made her for Louis & she & Lestat have always known that. And he’s never chosen her once. Not in birth & not in death.
Not all fledglings are equal.
Remember this scene? Where Lestat tells Louis his purpose is to enjoy himself with fondness? This is not the same feelings he has towards Claudia’s existence. She was made to make Louis happy. So he was always going to choose Louis.
It’s not a criticism that Lestat chose to save Louis & chose not to save Claudia. You don’t have to get defensive about it & defend Lestat. He did what we expected of him. I personally love how messy, twisted & darkly romantic it is. Because of course Lestat would choose to save Louis, his companion heart.🥺
Both of her parents failed her from the moment they chose to make her a vampire. They didn’t know her from a homeless man on the street. She wasn’t made because they fell in love with her & she consented to them to making her a vampire. She was made for selfish reasons & her story played out in a way that reflected that.
Also, Louis’ story is not one of choosing Lestat over Claudia, but more of being asked to & being forced to choose between two people he loved at diffident times in their lives. Both Claudia & Lestat constantly kept asking him to choose between them while he tried to just keep the family together & make it work. After he took Lestat back is a great example of this. And so is the scene when Claudia is pleading to him to go with her & Lestat freaks out, thinking Louis was gonna choose her & leave him. But Claudia is a child. Their child. Children have the right to expect their parent to choose them over their partner. Parents shouldn’t be fighting for the attention of their partner with their child.
Another great example is the murder of Lestat. Louis didn’t really want to murder Lestat. But he also wanted to free Claudia from Lestat’s tyrany & make Claudia happy. So he agreed to the murder plan. Of course he couldn’t bring himself to burn his body. But he spent all that time in Paris fully believing that he killed Lestat. Which means a part of him thought Lestat wouldn’t make it even when he gave him that small chance.
I think it’s clear as day that if Louis had been given the choice, he would have asked Lestat to save Claudia instead of him the way most parents would. But he also understands & knows just as much as us the audience that if Lestat had the power to save one of them, that Lestat would choose him. He just thought for the longest time that Lestat was in cahoots with the coven to kill Claudia. But the moment he realized that Lestat wasn’t part of it & that it was Armand that orchestrated it all, he was more willing to forgive.
Basically, i don’t think Lestat’s choice needs defending. I don’t think many fans are serious when they claim they love gothic horror & fucked up characters because they’re always trying to reframe all the fucked up & dark elements of the show into something more sanitary.
What I will defend is that of course he would choose to save Louis. It’s madness to expect anything different from Lestat after we all we’ve seen & know about him.🤣
