Hi there! I'm Dæ and I have a (probably) unhealthy obsession with IWTV. I'm here to share my dumb thoughts with fellow fans.

I may be in love with Armand/Assad. Claudia has never done anything wrong in her whole life. I will be posting about RPF. I'm all for old man yaoi. Also, some of the thoughts I'll share will be filthy (main TWs : noncon, cnc, somno...)

Consider yourself warned, idrc to argue, although I do enjoy hearing different opinions and theories about the characters, their actions, etc.

okay but guys... can I ask... what the fuck was up with the 'toi' and 'moi' sort of contact names??? that's not how a phone works?!?!?! istg that bothered me all episode... like obviously they didn't want to write the contact name for plot twist purposes but they could have just written nothing?? do you not know how a phone works??? it barely makes sense that it would call you 'me' but to call your contact 'you'??? am I a bit of a perfectionist? yes, maybe

Did anyone else's opinion of Armand not really change after the reveal at the end of season 2?

I really didn't find it to be that big a deal. It was huge for Louis, obviously, but as a viewer? Regardless of whether he directed the play or not, he was still there. He was still involved in Claudia's death. I'd already decided I liked him despite knowing that he absolutely could've saved her if he'd wanted to. And by that point it barely mattered if he'd saved Louis or not. He let Claudia die. That should be enough. When it comes to Claudia, I hate them all equally because every single other character except Maddie put her through hell and splitting hairs over who hurt her the most seems pointless. She suffered and died because of them all. Fuck these vampires.

It was a great reveal. I'm not knocking the writing at all. But he would still be complicit in Claudia dying regardless so it wasn't this huge game changer for me at all. I love him and hate him as much as I did before Daniel blew up a third marriage.

Kelli: Do you have an answer about how frequently Armand was wiping Louis's memory?

Rolin: Yeah probably but I don't know how important it is... Everybody, Assad probably has a different idea, Jacob does, and maybe some of my writers room do –I love that, I think that's okay. For me I actually think it was very very very little. And I actually think –many people probably disagree with me– that Louis probably did ask him in Sausalito to erase it. I think he did. I always felt Armand having two really extraordinary lies. And just two. But because you have to continue with those, it becomes a series of lies and lies and lies, and it seems worse to me than it is. I always wanted to find this empathetic version of Armand, but I house it like everything else I did in the show: I house my idea about it, and there are open interpretations of the actor who is embodying it, the people who have had reactions about that, and I think that's cool. And it ends up letting the audience members– you get to see yourself in how you feel about all those things.

Kelli: I always thought that it might be believable that Louis could ask for that, but I don't know if he did, what do you guys think? Do you agree with Rolin?

Jacob: Yeah, I like Rolin's answer, I think it's open to interpretation. And kind of for me, the thing is that... I sort of don't–

Sam: It doesn't matter.
