Verification of signatures in the next 3 months - Each EU country where we collected signatures will now check and confirm their validity.

Submitting the initiative to the EU Commission - Once the signatures are verified, we will formally submit our initiative to the Commission.

A meeting with the EU Commission - The Commission will invite us to present our demands and explain why this initiative is necessary.

A hearing in the EU Parliament - We are going to have the opportunity to speak directly to Members of the European Parliament and make our case.

An official reply from the Commission - After the meeting and the hearing, the Commission must give us a formal response, outlining what actions they plan to take.

Hopefully, this plan will include new EU legislation to support reproductive rights — a historic first.

28-year-old Madison D. Sheahan was appointed by Kristi Noem as Deputy Director of ICE, despite having no background in immigration enforcement. Before this, she ran Louisiana’s Department of Wildlife and Fisheries — a role that reportedly earned her the nickname “Fish Cop” among ICE officials.

Now, she’s one of the top leaders at one of the most powerful enforcement agencies in the country.

Hannah Thomas, a 35-year-old former Greens candidate, joined a pro-Palestine protest in Sydney. There, she was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a police order to disperse, as well as resisting an officer. During the protest outside a Sydney business that supplies technology to the IOF, Australian police beat her.

She sustained facial injuries and was taken to Bankstown Hospital for treatment. The long-term impact on her right eye is still unknown.

Police stated that the employment of the senior constable allegedly responsible is under review, and a critical incident investigation is ongoing. The officer, charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, is due to appear in court in November.

In reality, this should never have happened. The police should be there to protect people, not brutalise them.

Errol Musk, 79, father of Elon Musk, has been accused of sexually abusing five of his children and stepchildren since 1993. Allegations include touching his 4-year-old stepdaughter, sniffing her dirty underwear years later, and abuse of two daughters and a stepson. Three investigations were opened, but only two closed without action; the third is unclear.

Errol denies everything, calling the claims “nonsense” and accusing family members of trying to extort Elon.

Elon has rarely spoken about his father but once told Rolling Stone that Errol had done “almost every evil thing you could possibly think of,” describing him as someone who “plans evil.”

An 18-year-old Greenlandic Ivana Nikoline Brønlund who is living in Denmark will regain custody of her infant daughter.

The baby was taken from her just an hour after birth after she failed a “parenting competence” test and the baby was placed in foster care.

On Monday, a national appeals board reversed the decision made by local officials. The mother shared on Instagram: “My heart is whole again.” However, it is not yet clear when the two will be fully reunited.

The test has been widely condemned for being racist, as it ignores Inuit culture and has historically been used to remove children from Greenlandic families. Despite Denmark outlawing these tests for people with Greenlandic backgrounds in May 2025, she was still subjected to it.

Greenlandic children born in Denmark are five times more likely to be taken from their parents than other children in the country. It is clear that Denmark needs structural change, and the reforms made in May are not enough.

The Berlin police have launched an internal investigation against their own officers over failures in the case of the rape and abuse of Marla R. by Marvin S. in 2022.

At that time, the 20-year-old was found unconscious in his apartment, with severe injuries and cardiac arrest.

Although the doctor immediately suspected a criminal offense, the police officers believed his story about consensual sex and drugs.

They did not secure evidence or launch an investigation, and it is not even documented whether they entered the apartment at all.

Only after the victim’s mother filed a complaint did an investigation begin – weeks later. In July 2025, Marvin S. was sentenced to five years in prison, but the verdict is not yet final.

“Sexualized violence is only marginally addressed in police training. In crucial situations, such as dealing with unconscious victims or people in psychological crises, the Berlin police have repeatedly made fatal mistakes in recent years,” Anne Helm, from Left Party stated.

In this case, the systematic disregard for victims and lack of training allowed the perpetrator to almost escape justice. What about next time?

Since the Taliban returned to power in August 2021, women’s education in Afghanistan has been severely restricted, with religious schools increasingly the only option. They are called madrasas and the taliban have deliberately built a network of them - there are now more than 21,000 all across the country.

Madrasas offer a narrow curriculum focused on the Qur’an, Taliban interpretations of Islamic law, gender roles, and dress codes, with no mathematics or science.

Nahid, 24, a former economics student in Herat, says she attends a mosque-based madrasa because “it’s the only way I can leave my home and fight depression,” and the 1,000 Afghanis (£11) monthly incentive helps.

Families face pressure to enroll daughters: Nasreen recalls being told, “Send your daughters to our religious classes or you get nothing.”

Experienced teachers with university degrees have been barred, replaced by teenage madrasa graduates.

The impact is profound: girls no longer dream of becoming doctors or engineers, seeing madrasa certificates as the only viable qualification.

Nahid says the classes provide relief from isolation, but “only within the confines of an ideology she rejects.

“If I stay home, I will lose my mind. If I go, at least I see other women.”

“Gaza is burning, we will block everything.” is the slogan under which Italians are protesting today in at least 75 cities across the country. ❤️

Protesters have blocked ports, highways, and public transport. Schools and universities have also been closed.

They are protesting against the ongoing genocide in Gaza, demanding justice and an end to the violence. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

In the early 1930s, as the Nazi Party was rising, the group Antifaschistische Aktion was created. They identified center-left social democrats as the real threat instead of Hitler, and fought against them.

Some historians believe this divided the left rather than uniting it against the real enemy: Hitler and the Nazis. When Hitler took power, Antifaschistische Aktion was forced to go underground.

This is a reminder to always remember history—a history that tells us we must stand together against autocrats.

Ahmed Duweik, 10, was asleep at home in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in Palestine, when missiles struck, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

He lost an arm, suffered severe soft tissue and nerve damage, and experiences agonizing phantom limb pain.

Since learning that his medical evacuation to the US might not happen, Ahmed has withdrawn emotionally, waking up every night screaming and clinging to his mother in fear.

“We feel so powerless. All we can do is pray that his visa approval comes before death does,” says his mother.

Ahmed needs complex reconstructive surgery and prosthetics, treatments unavailable in Egypt.

He survived the bombing in Gaza, but without the medical care he was promised in the US, his pain only grows.

The visa ban has turned his chance for healing into another injustice.
