if you for real ship Larissa Weems with ANY of her students you are gross and disgusting—also disrespectful to mischaracterize her like that when you know damn well she loved those kids like they were her own.
She died for them and to boil her character down to that not to mention aging a character up to make “acceptable” is worse.
I have not remained silent on this matter lmao in fact I’ve been blocked for it and started shit from that went to twitter, do not make her a groomer or anything alike because that is disgraceful.
Just make an adult oc if you want to romance her that badly.
There are plenty and I mean plenty of Larissa x reader fics out there too.
She would never think of Wednesday like that ntm she was like 48-49 when Wednesday was in school at Nevermore like come on. 😭
nobody forgot shit! we have bigger problems! the only alternative to Kamala is a man who wants to wage war on every minority in America. A man who wants to push us further into full on fascism. any “but that one time Kamala” talk benefits only one person right now and that’s Donald Trump. do your part by keeping that shit to yourself! nobody fucking asked and whatever you’re bringing up isn’t more important than queer people’s lives — which ARE at stake. just shut the fuck up and vote, republicans are counting on infighting among the left, so just put it aside. It can wait, I promise.
Those tags are LEGIT. Canada has gotten so bad in recent years because provincial governments are so confident overstepping in wake of Trump. I cannot stress enough how important it is that all Americans get out and vote.
I don't care how you feel more moral not voting because it matters so so so much and anyone trying to tell you otherwise is doing so to get Trump or someone like him back in power by using your non vote. It's bad for everyone.
I think one big reason why we don't consider the stars as important as before (not even pop-astrology anymore cares about the stars or the sky on itself, just the signs deprived of context) is because of light pollution.
For most of human history the sky looked between 1-3, 4 at most. And then all of a sudden with electrification it was gone (I'm lucky if I get 6 in my small city). The first time I saw the Milky Way fully as a kid was a spiritual experience, I was almost scared on how BRIGHT it was, it felt like someone was looking back at me. You don't get that at all with modern light pollution.
When most people talk about stargazing nowadays they think about watching about a couple of bright dots. The stars are really, really not like that. The unpolluted night sky is a festival of fireworks. There is nothing like it.
I'd even love to pay even more when I'm rich, as long as I'm helping people who need the help. Better public transport, better schools and universities, better healthcare, more money for the poor, etc. etc.
For feminist purposes, it's amazing to have a woman in power. Especially a woman like her.
She's adorable. Our emotional support. We need her smiling again.
The big coat collars that she wears needs a comeback.
She had so much depth as a character and so much mystery that will probably be ignored entirely and I think that's utter bullshit. You can't ignore such a good character.
She is the ONLY person who is allowed to sit at that desk. In that chair. And send emails or whatever the fuck babygirl was doing on that laptop of hers.
She can't be killed by a red-booted bug.
She never even got her loving wife yet.
She's intelligent and a shapeshifter so she has to come up with something to survive.
When the rest of the world looks at the united states right now, we see a government who sends billions to support genocide but cannot help their own people starving on the streets.
We see a police force who won't go in to save children from school shootings, but deploy at a rapid rate to arrest peaceful protestors using their right to free speech to protest a genocide
America, you are a war mongering snake eating your own tail. You will protect and support war criminals in another country but let your own people starve and die
To the students bravely protesting now, we see your strength. We see what we saw when students protested the Vietnam War. We have faith you will prevail
Daughter of Tarth (Brienne oneshot, h&c, fluff, SFW)
Synopsis: You and Brienne grew up together in Tarth. You accompany her back home to visit her sick father and spend quality time together to help her cope. But as events unfold you both realise your connection goes much deeper than just friends...
Trigger warnings: sick/ill relative, grief, references to potential loss and past bullying.
It was another cold and snowy day in The North, you were happily going about your daily duties at Castle Winterfell when you passed through the training yard. You saw (or rather heard) Ser Brienne practising her combat skills on one of the dummies, but something was off. She was grunting extra loudly and hitting the dummy with much more force than usual, clearly she was taking her aggression out on this thing and it lost an arm and a head in the process.
You knew Brienne well and recognised that this was very out of character for her. You grew up together in Tarth and you were her most trusted friend. When you left home you wrote to her and she got you a job at the castle. You were thrilled to see your childhood friend again after years apart.
It was then that you both realised how deeply you cared about each other and that your connection went beyond just friendship. But Brienne was inexperienced with these feelings and you were too shy to act on yours.
-
You carefully approached her, "Brienne?"
She lowered her sword at the sound of your voice, "oh! Greetings Lady Y/L/N".
"Lady? For God's sake Brienne you don't have to be so formal with me of all people!" you joked.
The Knight chuckled to herself, "I'm sorry, force of habit".
"Is everything ok? You seem..."
"What?"
"Angry".
Brienne's cheeks flushed red and looked away, "it's my father. He's sick. Very sick".
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that, what ails him?" you asked, stepping closer to her.
"I don't know, some sort of strange fever. The maesters are trying to treat him but even they can't tell what it is exactly. I can't sleep because I'm so worried about him...I just...I don't..." Brienne trailed off, dropping her sword with a clang and sobbing into her gloved hands.
You immediately pulled her in for a hug and she wept on your shoulder, clinging onto you tightly. Despite the constant pressure put on her to represent House Tarth, Brienne was close to her father especially after losing her mother and brother when she was younger.
After a few minutes she pulled away, wiped her tears and composed herself but you saw right through her.
"I'm sorry, I got a little carried away there" she said, her voice still shaking slightly.
"Don't apologise" you told her, "why don't you visit him? It might put your mind at rest if you're there with him".
"I have been considering it. But I'm worried it will bring up some...unpleasant memories. I'm not sure if I can bear it".
You knew exactly what she was referring to, growing up Brienne was subject to a lot of bullying and ridicule because of her height and unusual looks. You could never understand why, to you she was beautiful, strong and courageous with the kindest heart.
"What about if I come with you?" you offered.
She blinked, stunned by your gesture.
"You would do that? For me?"
"Of course silly".
"B-but what about your duties here?" she said.
"Give me some time and I can sort that out. I don't like the thought of you being alone for this, I know it will be hard for you to go back there" you said and you could see she was touched.
"Alright then" she said hesitantly, "I'll arrange for a ship to take us there tomorrow morning".
"Great. I'll meet you by the harbour in the morning then".
Just as you turned to leave she called you back, "Y/N! Thank you, your friendship means a great deal to me".
You smiled, "yours means a lot to me too".
She watched you leave, admiring the way your hair bounced as you jogged away.
You both arrived in Tarth the next day, stepping off the ship and onto familiar soil. Brienne looked very anxious as she stared at the lush green landscape with majestic stone structures poking through the tall trees. You put a reassuring hand on her shoulder to tell her everything was going to be ok. She nodded but didn't look entirely convinced.
-
You made your way to Brienne's former home, Evenfall Hall, where Lord Selwyn Tarth resided in his bed chambers.
"Would you like me to come in with you or stay here?" you asked.
"Come in. I-I don't think I can do this on my own".
You nodded and she took a deep breath before opening the door.
Lord Selwyn was lying in his bed with two maesters either side of him. They appeared to be treating him but you couldn't exactly tell what they were doing. Brienne asked for an update on his condition and they told her that he was stable now but still very dazed and weak. She breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
The maesters then left us alone with him, Brienne sat by her father's bedside and placed her hand on top of his.
"He looks so pale" she commented.
His eyes started to flutter open. Bright blue orbs, just like his daughter's, and you were pleased to see there was still plenty of life in them.
"Brie...Brienne?..." his voice sounded crackly and dry.
"I'm here father" she said, smiling at him through her own watery eyes.
His focus was entirely on her, like he didn't believe she was real. His mouth moved but he struggled to speak.
"Does he need water?" you asked.
"I think so".
You poured out a cup of water and handed it to her, she carefully held it to his lips and tipped the liquid into his mouth. He drank the whole cup and lay back on his pillow.
He looked over at Brienne and stroked her face, "my darling girl" he muttered with a weak smile "I'm so proud of you". She was now gripping his hand, letting him know she wasn't going anywhere.
After some time Lord Selwyn started to fall into a deep sleep. His breathing slowed and his body relaxed, finally at peace.
"I think we should leave him to rest now. I'll check on him again later tonight" Brienne said, finally letting go of his hand and getting to her feet.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. Thank you for staying" she said gratefully.
"It's no problem, I'm glad you got to see him".
"I...I don't think I could have done this without you Y/N".
"You're stronger than you think Brienne".
She looked back at her father, "he made me strong".
"Are you sure you want to leave?"
She hesitated, "would you mind if I had just a few moments alone with him?"
"Take your time. I'll wait outside".
Fifteen minutes later Brienne emerged. She was a little out of breath with puffy red eyes. You knew she'd been crying but she looked relieved, like a weight had lifted from her shoulders.
You didn't ask question, you just hugged her.
"You did well".
You both planned to stay in Tarth for at least a week while Lord Selwyn recovered. The next morning you headed to Brienne's chambers but as you went to knock on the door you heard her snoring, you chuckled to yourself and decided to leave her be. She certainly needed the rest.
A few hours later someone knocked on your door, it was Brienne.
"Good morning Y/N. Sleep well?" she asked, sounding a little more cheerful than the day before.
"I did thanks. But you do know it's the afternoon" you said.
"It is?! Oh fu-!"
"Language Ser!"
She blushed, embarrassed she had overslept.
"I take it you finally got some sleep then?" you asked.
"I did, I'm feeling...better".
"How's your father doing?"
"The maesters said he's recovering well, surprising really for a man of his age. I thought...I thought I was going to lose him" she said, her voice cracking on the last part.
"He knows you're here now and that will be a great comfort to him whatever happens" you told her.
She held back a few tears and nodded, "you're right. Um...do you have any plans for today?"
"No I don't, why?"
"I was wondering if you would like to go for a walk with me? There's a beautiful pond near here I would like to visit".
"Oh that sounds great! Let me just pack a few things...".
You ran around your chambers loading your satchel with some supplies along with your sketchbook and charcoal.
"Ready! Let's go!"
After a quick visit to Lord Selwyn (who was talking more coherently now), you followed Brienne outside as she led the way through the nearby woodland to your destination.
"The pond isn't too far from here. It's in a very pretty secluded area. We might see some animals if we're lucky" Brienne told you.
"What's your favourite animal?" you asked, curious about her answer.
"Hmm...I've always liked deer. They're so peaceful to watch" she replied, "what's yours?"
"I like martens, I love their cute little ears and bushy tails! Their fur looks so soft too! I would love to have one as a pet and let it run all over me!"
Brienne laughed, "wouldn't you be scared of it crawling into a place it shouldn't?"
"What do you mean?"
"You know...like...down your shirt or up your trouser leg?" she asked in her adorably shy way.
"Well at least it would be nice and warm, especially down my shirt" you flirted with a wink.
Brienne giggled and her cheeks went rosey.
"It's good to see you smiling again" you said genuinely.
"It's good to be smiling again. I've been stressed recently but knowing my father will recover is a huge relief" she said, "and any time spent with you always lifts my mood immensely."
You were surprised to hear her say this, she didn't usually talk about feelings like that but you could tell she meant what she said. It melted your heart and you smiled sweetly at one another.
You eventually arrived at the pond and it was just as idyllic as Brienne had described. The small pool of water was clear and the surface shimmered in the afternoon sun, as water lilies and lily pads gently floated along the top. You spotted a few frogs leaping from pad to pad and ribberting. The surrounding grassy area was laden with all manner of colourful flowers, plus bees and butterflies getting their fill of pollen. Birdsong soothed your ears and two squirrels caught your eye scurrying up a tree.
"Wow" you said, completely in awe "this place is like something from a storybook!"
"I thought you'd like it" she said, slightly smugly.
"It's...it's so beautiful" you said, taking everything in.
"Yes...it is" Brienne said, looking at you.
You found a patch of grass to sit on, you sat cross-legged while Brienne bent her legs and rested her arms on her knees.
"Why have I never seen this place before?" you said.
"My father told me about it in a letter" she replied, "he came across it on one of his walks so I wanted to see it for myself".
"Thank you for sharing it with me".
"You're welcome, there's no else I would rather share it with" she said, her lips curled into a cute smile making your heart beat just that little bit faster.
After several minutes of contented silence listening to everything around you, you saw Brienne's eyes begin to close.
"Are you ok?" you asked.
"Hmm? Yes, it's just so quiet and relaxing here. It makes me a little sleepy" she confessed.
"Take a nap then. It's not often you Knights get to experience peace like this so make the most of it".
"That's true. Are you sure you don't mind?"
"Of course not, just lie back and rest".
Brienne laid in the grass and closed her eyes. In no time at all her breathing slowed and her muscles eased.
You took out your sketchbook and sat on the opposite side of the pond attempting to draw the scene before you, a handsome stoic knight sleeping soundly surrounded by nature.
Brienne dreamed away with a little smirk on her face, she remained in the same position the whole time completely unaware of you sketching her. You studied every part of her form; the subtle waves in her hair, the shape of her mouth, the length of her limbs, the breadth of her chest, even the dinges in her armour.
A couple of hours later you finally finished your drawing, just as the sun started to set. You went over to the slumbering Knight and gently shook her awake.
"Brienne..."
She slowly opened her eyes and sat up, rubbing them as she regained her awareness of her surroundings.
"Is it sunset already?!" she exclaimed.
"Yes it is, sleepyhead".
"Gods! How long was I napping for?!"
"A good few hours".
"And you stayed the whole time?"
"Yes, I was working on this...".
You handed her your sketchbook and she was taken aback by your drawing, "you...you drew this? Of me?"
"Yes. I couldn't resist" you admitted.
"I've seen your work before but the level of detail in this is incredible, you are truly talented" she praised.
You ripped out the page out of the book and handed it to her, "here...keep it".
"You don't have to give me this, I was just-"
"Brienne, I want you to have it".
Your fingers brushed hers as she took the page from you and she continued to stare at it in awe, "I-I don't know what to say. Thank you".
"You're welcome".
Your eyes were locked on each other for a few moments. Brienne still had some cuts and bruises from her most recent battle but to you they never obscured her natural beauty.
As you walked back to the castle Brienne looked over at the purple and orange horizon.
"Forgive me for today, I didn't realise how late it was" she said apologetically.
"It's alright, I couldn't disturb a sleeping beauty" you said cheekily.
"You're such a flirt Y/N" she giggled.
"How dare you! I was just paying you a compliment!" you said with false innocence.
"Oh please, you're trying to flirt with me. I know what you're doing!" Brienne said playfully.
"Well...so what if I was?"
If you were going to flirt with her, you would make damn sure she knew about it.
"So you admit it, you are trying to flirt with me" she said with a sly grin.
"Maybe..."
As you said that you ran ahead of her giggling. Brienne chased after you calling your name and telling you to come back.
"Try and catch me!" you shouted over your shoulder and she accepted your challenge.
Brienne couldn't help but laugh as she pursued you, knowing full well that this whole situation was ridiculous. But she didn't care, she was enjoying herself.
"Let's see if I can outrun a Knight!" you mocked as you sped up.
"You do realise how heavy this armour is?!"
Despite her complaints Brienne gained speed, you saw her coming and purposely slowed down curious to see what she would do if she caught you. As she closed the gap between you she wrapped her arms around your waist pulling you in, both of you laughing like kids again.
"Ha! Caught you!" she said breathlessly.
You put on your best 'damsel in distress' act, "oh no! Alas! You caught me!"
Her laughter was like music to your ears, such a sweet sound that you never got tired of hearing.
-
You turned around in her grasp and your hands landed on her muscular arms, the laughter subsided and your smiles faded. You felt something bubbling up inside you and from the look on Brienne's face she felt it too. You noticed she had some dry leaves in her hair and your hand instinctively moved up to brush them out. She closed her eyes in bliss as you did this, melting into your touch. Your fingers then trailed down her cheek and you felt goosebumps flare up on her skin.
"You have such soft hair...and soft skin" you murmured.
You continued to stroke her cheek, your delicate touch soothing her soul.
“Brienne, I-”
“I love you Y/N”.
Her words shocked you but went straight to your heart, “you…you what?”
“I love you. I can’t pretend anymore. I’ve loved you ever since we were young. You’re more than a friend and you mean so much to me”.
You looked up at her with your mouth agape, she stared at you with desperate eyes waiting for a response.
A few seconds passed as you processed what she said.
“I’m sorry. I’ve probably said too much. I-”
You couldn’t express how you felt in words so instead you cut her off with a long, deep kiss. The sun set right at that moment but neither of you noticed, you were solely focused on each other. A lifelong connection now blossoming into love.
“You have no idea how long I have wanted to do that” you said, catching your breath.
“Does that mean…?”
“Yes, I feel the same way. I always have but I was too scared to tell you. I love you too Brienne”.
Her declaration resonated with you and gave you the confidence to finally confess your true feelings you kept hidden for so long.
Her face lit up with the brightest smile and you couldn’t resist kissing her again under the starry night sky.
You returned to Evenfall Hall some time later holding hands. As you entered the castle the smell of food filled your nostrils and your stomach rumbled loudly.
"Was that your stomach?!" Brienne questioned.
"Yeah, I'm starving!"
"Oh thank the gods, I thought there was a dire wolf in the castle" she joked.
You slapped her armoured arm playfully and she chuckled.
"Let's get some food" she said.
"Wait!"
As she went to walk away you pulled her back and kissed her very passionately.
"If you keep kissing me like this, we won't make it to the kitchens" she said teasingly.
"Maybe you could be my dinner then?" you said cheekily and pecked her lips a couple more times. Brienne reciprocated and each time the kisses got deeper until she let out a small animalistic growl.
"Go to my chambers, I'll meet you there" she told you in a slightly bossy tone.
"Ok, but don't be too long" you said and skipped away.
About thirty minutes later Brienne returned. She'd swapped her armour for some black pants and a beige linen shirt. She was carrying a large silver tray filled with a variety of food; meat, bread, cheese, fruits, cakes and wine.
"Dinner is served my lady!" she said proudly, laying the tray down on the table between the couch and the fireplace.
"Wow! This is a veritable feast!" you exclaimed.
"I wasn't sure what you felt like so I just grabbed what I could" she said.
"I could get used to this!"
"You better, because I promise to treat you like a queen every single day" she said and kissed your hand, "now let's tuck in".
After you had both filled your bellies, you snuggled up together on the couch. You tucked yourself into Brienne's side and she pulled a thick fur cover over you both. You felt so comfortable in her arms, listening to the calming rhythm of her heartbeat and watching the dancing flames in the fire.
"It's been such a wonderful day. I don't think I've ever been this happy before" Brienne said but she was met with silence.
"Y/N?" she looked down and saw you had fallen asleep, nuzzled cutely into her chest. She chuckled to herself, she had slept enough today so now it was your time to rest.
She kissed the top of your head and whispered, "sleep well my love".
It’s your friendly neighbor fanfic author here. In the light of this apparent new trend of people feeding unfinished fics to AI to get an “ending,” and some people even talking about “blanket permissions,” let me just say this:
I EXPLICITLY FORBID ANYONE TO FEED MY FICS TO AI. DUDE, THAT IS ABOUT THE LEAST RESPECTFUL THING YOU CAN DO. IF YOU DO IT, SHALL YOU BE EXCOMMUNICATED FROM YOUR FANDOM AND WALK ON LEGOS BAREFOOT TILL THE END OF DAYS.
I second this for my fanfics too. I know that I have some unfinished fanfics somewhere, and I hate AI. If I'm in the mood, I'd love to finish my fics myself instead of letting something without a brain finish my fics.
