I really wish more people watched Tenshi ni Narumon…

This series, even if it looks like a harem anime at times, tackles some really deep issues.

I personally find it to be an excellent commentary on issues of masculinity and patriarchy (among many others) and how they affect male homosexuality in particular.

Basically, IMO if Utena is about feminism and lesbianism, then Tenshi ni Narumon is about male homosexuality and they are like a mirror images of each other.

Zero Day is such a heartbreaking allegory for the pain and anguish of being gay as a teenager and not knowing where to put all of your feelings or how to cope with repressing them
