sometimes there are moments in spn where I’m like ok they need to stay within their budget, cuz yeah they make the threats bigger but finding loopholes or creative ways to not have to show it completely is almost kinda part of the fun/charm of the show, otherwise it can look real goofy. And yeah some of the goofiness is on purpose and can be fun as well but when they’re dead serious about it is where I’m like ok guys lol

yes this is in reference to the dean and lucifer fight in the season 13 finale, they should’ve just kept it on the ground (the dean and cain fight was so good so like, come on) instead of in the air cuz this obvious fight with wires is sending me

Thinking about apocalypse world Cas and how he was clearly written (and acted!!) with just zero thought given to Cas’s character. Like, the reason you as a tv show put in an evil double of someone is to say something interesting about the ordinary version! So, according to the (terrible, but that’s another discussion) premise of apocalypse world, what you should be doing here is giving a glimpse at what Cas could be like if he hadn’t met Sam and Dean. Which just is not a weird nazi-ish torturer lol, it’s a version of early season 4 Cas! Maybe hardened by all the years since the apocalypse or whatever, but there’s no reason he’d be especially evil – he’d presumably be the same amount of will-torture-humans-for-pragmatic-reasons as s13 Cas already is. The main difference between them is that one of them is still following heaven’s orders and is carrying out the brutality commanded by Michael, and one has broken free of that. Which then would make the confrontation between the two of them way more meaningful. There’d be a genuine sense of Cas contemplating the who he could have been in different circumstances – you could have the genuine pathos of “you’re on what I consider the wrong side, but I know they’re only a small change separating the two of us” rather than just “oh awkward I have to kill someone who looks like me”.
