This fic has (understandably) not been getting a lot of readers, and I never expected it to, so I haven't been posting chapter links this time around. I know that seems counter-intuitive, but it made sense in my head... But I've had one lone commenter on this fic and that's given me a confidence boost, so here is the link to chapter 9 of "Restoring More Than His Sight."

I just finished writing the last of "Restoring More Than His Sight" and it feels sooooo good to have it done. 18 chapters, a little over 57K words. I uploaded chapter 8 earlier today so now it's just a matter of going back and editing as I upload the rest of it.

I'll be putting this in an author's note at the end of the fic, but I completely changed my writing process for this fic and it did *not* go well. I will never write another fic like this again. I had to step away from it for a while because I was beginning to hate working on it. I feel like my writing really deteriorated. But it's finished and many valuable lessons were learned.

The next fic in the series will be a short one featuring more OCs (Yumiko, if anyone cares to know), but the one after that will have Moroha as the main character. I already have a general idea of what I want to happen in that one, but part of me is scared I won't do our beloved Moroha, the only good thing to come out of Yashahime, the justice she deserves.

After that will be Part 5 with more OCs (and is already my personal favorite of this series even though I haven't written it yet), and Part 6 will be Kagome getting to meet her family again in the future.

Okay that's enough rambling. Time for bed.

New opening theme!!

And here I was thinking we'd have to wait another episode or two ^^;;

Feels weird that the second opening is more lighthearted when things are actually going to get heavier from here, but it's hardly the first time an anime opening was misleading lol

But things will be getting more lively with all the new characters we'll be meeting! I hope everyone enjoys them (or enjoys hating them lol)

I don't dislike the new song, but... I'm not sure if I like it as the second opening for this anime. Maybe later on in the series, but I just don't think it feels right, right now.

I also really, really like Heartloud and feel like it's been taken from us too soon lol

Someone who isn't even familiar with the fandom has been reading and commenting on my InuYasha fics and I'm legit tearing up over it. I wish I could leave kudos on comments! 😭

I used to say that I could never bring myself to write smut.

Well, never say never...

Spent the last few days banging this out instead of working on my other WIPs. Literally wrote over 6K words a day, skimmed it for glaring mistakes, then decided fuck it, full send - and now it's posted.

Now I'm going to go sit in the corner and think about what I've done.

P.S. this fic is very much inspired by InuYasha, so my Inu fandom friends might especially enjoy it.

Stayed up until 2:00 AM writing. I think I wrote 10 pages and almost 7K words!

Sounds good right? Yeah, it's great, except it was the start of yet another story... instead of finishing my current fic. The fic that I'm almost done with, the fic that I already know how it's going to end, but for whatever odd reason I keep getting distracted from actually sitting down and finishing. I think I have 5 Word docs sitting open on my computer right now.

My OCs are giving me some serious side-eye in my mind this morning lol

The voting period is now in session! As mentioned earlier, we are utilizing a new method of voting. You’ll still need to sign into the form in order to vote, just like Google, and you will be allowed one vote per category. Please note: we will be recording email addresses and media platform names to preserve the integrity of the voting process! The email addresses and votes will NOT be shared with anyone; it is simply to prevent voting anomalies. Please let us know if you experience any issues!

One of the great features about this new form is that the choices of each question will be randomized per person. Fandom members in the past have expressed concern of the first option of each question being chosen more frequently simply so people can say they voted - this will no longer be an issue. We hope this helps make it a better experience for all!

The voting form will take you through all pieces up for voting as well as all the roulette categories - fanfiction, fanart, and romance. For each form, you will be asked to sign-in again. If you do not want to vote or contribute to any of the roulettes, you can either skip them by clicking the arrow at the bottom right of the page after logging in, or you can simply hit submit without choosing anything.

I'm rereading what I've written of Restoring More Than His Sight so far and apparently I suck at deciding where to put chapter breaks in this fic. Seriously, the fuck is the matter with me?

But hey, no one's reading it anyway, and by the time some readers find it, it'll all be posted and they can stop and start reading wherever they want to and chapter breaks won't matter.

I struggled a lot more with this story than I have with previous ones, so it feels good to finally start posting it.

I've been putting off uploading any chapters of my next fic for months now. I wanted to have more of it written before posting any of it, but I found myself struggling to write it - I had a really hard time nailing down my OCs' personalities and I got stuck in the rut of writer's block. I decided not to look at it for a while then come back to it.

After not touching it for a couple months, I reread what I had written and I think I'm ready to pick it back up again, or at the very least start posting the first few chapters. I have the house all to myself tomorrow, so I'm posting this to motivate myself to use that time to make it happen!

Tomorrow is all about writing (and watching the new episode of Mao... )

It’s the start of the 2nd Term of the 2026 Inuyasha Fandom Awards!

We hope everyone is having a great year! A huge shout-out to everyone who participated last term and made it such a huge success! We look forward to all of the amazing new fanfiction and fanart to be shared with this beautiful community.

WE ARE ANNOUNCING SOME CHANGES TO THE AWARDS -- PLEASE NOTE!!!

Starting Term 2:

Each creator is now able to have 2 Fanfiction AND 2 Fanart nominations for their works, if they are both an author and an artist. This will allow for their writing and art to be recognized equally for the gifts they give to the fandom.

Best Angst will now be Best Angst/Tragedy, and Best Dark will now be Best Dark/Horror. This will provide some more definition to each category.

The General roulette category is being replaced with a rotation of seasonal categories. These are three categories that will be rotated through each term for a total of 9 seasonal categories each year. You will no longer need to vote for the general roulette category. However, we are including the general roulette categories that won last term into this term's seasonal categories.

Voting for the romance roulette will be changing.  You will only be voting for one part of the pairing.  As an example, if Sango won, you could nominate stories with MirSan, KogSan, SessSan, KagSan, InuSan, etc. This will allow you to nominate your favorite pairings for the selected character for the awards and not be limited to just one set pairing. Please be aware that InuKag cannot be nominated into this roulette category.

As a final reminder detailed in this post, there was a big change last year for how to submit your nominations. We are no longer taking nominations submitted through our ask or submission boxes.

The Fanfiction Roulette Category for this term is Best World Building. This is defined as: Stories that have developed an in-depth world with detailed depictions of its inhabitants, culture, geography, history, and/or other environmental factors that bring the universe to life.

The Fanart Roulette Category for this term is Best Line Artwork. This is defined as: An uncolored illustration that consists of distinct straight lines or curves that represents a 2D or 3D picture.

The Romance Roulette pairing for Fanfiction and Fanart is Best SessSan Romance.

For Fanfiction, this is defined as: Stories that have developed a believable romance between Sesshomaru and Sango. “Believable” is subjective, and it is up to those nominating/voting to draw their own line on that quantifier and vote their “Best”. This includes canon universe and AU/AR settings.
