shortly after episode 5 i wrote down my little tadc headcanons and sketched out a first draft of updated gijinka designs, which i swiftly proceeded to forget about. but the announcement of episode 8 made me panic-finish em before anything else i imagined gets disproven

so anyways this is my canon divergent gijinka AU with wacky designs and some pre- and post-circus designs and story

since Kinger/George was gone the longest, he's got the hardest time adjusting to the real world. one of his biggest obstacles right off the bat is that the apartment he used to live in had long been rented out to somebody else. luckily Pomni/Nicholle lives in the same complex, allowing the two to run into each other and Nicholle to offer George a temporary place to live

there, he also has to adjust to the new digital "smart" world. luckily his computer knowledge allows him to grasp the basic concepts pretty quickly

I know its pretty clearly confirmed at this point that Caine is an AI only but I just love AUs where Caine somehow becomes a human in the real world so I'm putting it into this AU. nobody can stop me. i'm just too attached to seeing what used to be a godlike force be the helpless one for a change as he struggles to grasp real world concepts but this time with Stakes!

Since Zooble/Jamie is clearly his favourite, he ends up hanging out with them the most (and despite their grumpy tone they've got a strong sense of responsibility, meaning they want to keep him from causing trouble). he quickly makes it his mission to find everyone else from the circus and "get the band back together" (ignore that i drew the first pic before i figured out zooble's post-circus design)
