Samantha Shannon: did I mention this is a matriarchal society where the fate of the kingdom rests on the queen’s ability to produce a daughter because fuck stereotypical male-dominated fantasy worlds
Samantha Shannon: also speaking of stereotypes, let’s just toss all the cliché fantasy dragon stories out the window because these dragons don’t even have wings and also they talk and have their own independent social hierarchy
