they, the people who parrot this, are mixing up tme and tma with transmasc and transfem. if this was the purpose of tme/tma we would simply always say transmasc/transfem. but no, TME crucially contains all cis people and a lot of trans people who dont necessarily identify as transmasc but were not CAMAB. And TMA includes all trans people CAMAB, even if they may not identify as transfem. It is focusing on the oppression rather than what specific labels a person may use.

My roommate is transmasc. We were just talking about their reluctance to use the men's bathroom even as they "pass" more and more as a man, which is starting to cause people to give them concerning looks when they use the women's.
