Inuyasha, is that you?
This is part of my research to try a different method than the usual manga format.
Although this format has some limitations, it is also fun to draw.
Dude this line read is so good

Do y'all think the Japanese ever wonder why Western cartoons have so many animals in them?
Like people talk about Zootopia and now Turning Red, but even before them we had Dumbo, Kung Fu Panda, The Lion King, Nemo, The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, Chicken Run, Madagascar, plus everything to do with Looney Tunes, and the crews of Mickey and Pooh and the like, and that's just what came to my mind at the moment.
It's as if a good 50% of mainstream western animated media from the last several decades included at least some of the characters as anthropomorphic, or at least talking animals.
Are we furries in their eyes?
I wouldn’t say people in Japan find the abundance of Anthropomorphic characters in our cartoons weird or anything. A good number of folktales there tend to deal with anthro characters or furries such as kitsune or tanuki. One of the first full-length animated features of theirs Momotaro’s Divine Sea Warriors feature animals, a lot of Osamu Tezuka manga features talking animals, and also Anime fandom and Furry fandom in their modern context originated from science-fiction conventions.

Sailor Moon Stop Motion Painting
I have started an Indiegogo campaign for an independent animated film in a genre I like to call Neo-Silent Animation. My goal is to get $3000 to start off my film trilogy based off of a world where cartoons from America and Japan coexist. That is if they weren’t at war with each other. Only one woman in this world could make a difference. If this interests you than please take a look at the page and at the very least share it with others however you can.

Stop Motion Test #2.
Stop Motion test #1.
Here’s a test animation I made dealing with shadows and lighting.
The character in the video is called Black Metal (Real name Rachel Kurosawa but also nicknamed “Minor”) a LaVeyan Satanist who happen to be a Magical Girl for four years. However since she turn eighteen she prefers the term Magical “Woman” until she finds another person to pass on her powers to. Her parents are a Japanese American man and a Jewish woman who came to the U.S. from Israel. Her father committed suicide a week before she was born and her mother got killed by a hate group who mistook her for a Muslim after 9/11. She decide to travel to New Mexico after learning about Roy Nakayama and his contribution to New Mexico’s Chili. She later got her powers around 14 when her grandmother as a ghost passed it on to her.
On her 18th birthday, the city of Albuquerque where she lived got bombed to smithereens by a space nation called The Lunar Republic of 20. Her powers however managed to help her body slowly rebuild itself and after a thousand years she wakes up to find New Mexico as an Anarchist state, the Southern states have once again split off from the U.S. to form The Second Confederate States suffering from economic and racial issues, the rest of the states in the west and southwest area were obliterated by nuclear weapons, and the rest have devolved into a Fascist dictatorship. In this new situation, can Black Metal survive in this new world?
Here’s some drawings I made of two characters from my cartoon series Magical Woman Black Metal. The top one is Om the half human half mushroom creature named Om and the bottom is Black Metal herself (Real name Rachel Kurosawa).
Please enjoy my stop motion film, Shroomies!
Oh hey look I made a stop motion animation! So, I made a longer explanation of this on youtube, so if you’re interested in the full thing, just look there! Long story short, I like a song called COLORBARS so I animated to it! If you’re interested in the people who made this song, then the links are in the youtube description. :D
This goes out to @ghost-and-pals the creator of this song! :D
