Ships I Still Mourn For

Brooke & Lucas - One Tree Hill: Okay so you’re gonna have Lucas cheat on her with Peyton, give them another chance, have Brooke break up with him when she clearly still loved him and he her and he WANTED her and then years later pretend basically like they weren’t that important to each other just to make room for Leyton?  Okay cool. They had insane chemistry, Brooke wasn’t the damsel in distress and Lucas needed that and we all know the reason Brucas never got to happen was because of what went down with Chad & Sophia. 

Matt & Claire - Daredevil:  In Season 1 of Daredevil, they meet, another prime example of off the charts chemistry, had incredible moments and Claire basically admitted that she could fall in love with him and he her. Fast forward to Season 2, they had like one episode together and in The Defenders, literally exchange a few sentences and that’s it! And then you put her with Luke?! Come on. After their history, they deserve better and deserve a chance. She was his light when he wanted to constantly put himself in the dark. Still hoping.

Dan & Blair - Gossip Girl: This one pisses me off so much! Dair started off completely disliking each other in the first few seasons. They progressed to an almost friendship to a friendship and then eventually to being in love with each other. They were perfect for each other. They had matured past their previous relationships and they fit together like old shoes. She the stubborn Upper East Side Princess who would find herself in Brooklyn for him and he the writer who years ago couldn’t see anything good in her and then he was her biggest champion. So then you’re gonna put Blair back with Chuck who was completely abusive to her emotionally (he sold her for a hotel!) and Dan with Serena when it was clear they had surpassed that. Dan and Blair were the mature relationship. He built her up, reminded her who she was and sincerely loved her and she loved him in return the way you love your soulmate and you will never convince me otherwise. Bye.

Lucy & Carter- ER: Sigh. This one is currently hitting me the hardest. She was his medical student and the chemistry between these two was insane. Their banter, the way she would just get under his skin, the way they were just drawn to one another. Unfortunately, before anything more could come of it, Lucy is killed and Carter carries that with him for the rest of his life. I’m a firm believer that if she had lived, they would have married. They fit. You could feel it. But why you gotta kill her though? She couldn’t just be transferred? They couldn’t have married and she would just go to a different department or a different hospital? Now, since Carter never truly found his happily ever after, we wait until Dr. John Carter passes on in order to be reunited with Lucy and his son.

Harry & Hermione- Harry Potter:

I don’t care what anyone says. It came from Joanne Rowling herself! It SHOULD have been Harry & Hermione. There were so many times when she would bring them on these adventures, just the two of them. The freakin’ scene in the book when Fleur & Bill are getting married and they lock eyes during the vows. “He closed his eyes at her touch.” It was all in the writing. I take comfort in J.K. Rowling admitting that she made a mistake having Harry & Hermione end up with Ron & Ginny (GINNY?! Cmon, she barely said words until Book 5.) So let’s all agree that HG & HR divorce and Harry & Hermione realize what they have.

Angel & Cordelia- Angel:

This one also pissed me off!!!! Angel/Cordy were my first ever OTP. I shipped them hard. I was like 14. They had evolved so much from when we were first introduced to them in BTVS and I knew I was in trouble during Angel’s Season 1 finale. Their friendship evolved over the years and no one fucking stood by him like Cordelia did and she just made him SMILE. So a genius decided to break them apart before they could confess their love for each other (literally, they were on their way to each other) THEN they have Demon Cordelia SLEEP WITH ANGEL’S SON, she’s in a coma forever, she comes back for one more episode and she dies?!!!! CMONNNNNNNNNNN.
