i've always got a few projects going at a time - writing, art, comics, etc. my main focus is my fantasy/fairytale webcomic Brunvir, and writing a novel every november. currently going for my bachelor's in biology

i like animals, space, YA movies from the 2010s, animation, fairy tales, puzzle games, and everything Halloween

currently watching Gravity Falls for the first time (everyone said i'd love it and they were right) i'm also into LOTR, Star Wars, Star Trek TOS (haven't watched the others yet), MASH, Ghibli, HTTYD (movies and books), PJO, Calvin and Hobbes, 1D, and the cultural masterpiece that is Riverdale

i've started working on my comic for the like the fiftieth time this last month. i've sort of realized that i wasn't actually just 'working for myself', as much as i had thought. i think part of it is that i'd been thinking too much about what other people would think while i was working.

also the idea that whatever i made had to be easy for me to repeat kept leaving me with something that i was Never happy with in the first place. i know why this is common advice for people making comics - but i think i've maybe taken it too much to heart. also i never took the proper time to learn how to draw digitally so that's not really helping things

maybe i'm still heading in the wrong direction, but for now i'm going to just keep working on stuff with no plan to post it any time soon. usually i post stuff right away, 'cause if i take too long i either start to hate it or it just starts to feel stupid to share anything.

i normally am against deleting old art, but i'm honestly considering taking down the oldish strips i've already posted since i never really liked how they came out anyway. idk is that helpful? it feels like it'd be helpful.

I use GoodRx and I've worked in a healthcare facility where we literally had a stack of GoodRx cards to hand out to patients. Your prices will not become as cheap as if you were on insurance, but it can still make a big difference.
