KA….KA…ROT!!!! The new Dragon Ball Super movie is definitely one of the most hyped movies of recent date for the franchise. And rightfully so as we finally get a movie that might just give the over grown beast of a saiyan a real go! With a new design of Paragus and his son Broly. We also get a new glimpse of some familiar faces and some new ones to the Dragon Ball Universe.
Notably, one saiyan in-particular makes his return to the big screen. Bardock the father of Kakarot (Goku), the soon to be hero of the universe. And with the appearance of Gine, Goku’s mother. Finally, means that Dragon Ball Minus is officially apart of Dragon Ball Canon!
Along with that added to canon, we also get a visual of the first time Frieza and King Cold met the saiyan race. Which, will give us a new take and a return to the original series itself. Cannot wait to really see the true origin/take on the original story that was created years ago.
Dragon Ball Super Broly comes to theaters in Japan in December, and the english dub launches on Jan. 16th here in the states! Mark your calenders DBZ fans!! Because, certain states will have this in theaters!! We can finally watch all the great and amazing fight sequences between Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Broly! In the biggest way possible!!!

Time to set sail and become the pirate king!!
I started playing this app a week ago and have already become a little addicted to it! The game it self has simple mechanics to it, but an under layer of complexity. You start out like any game with a short setup and walk through. Ike any mobile game out there, it doesn’t have much of an explanation when you first start. Majority of it you have to learn as you play. Now, for the battle portion and story mode. It is a pretty simple mechanic. You select the character you want to start attacking with and move to the next. Now, they have added a little bit more to it than most other games like it out there. You have a combo mechanic that adds to your over all attack as you go through out the turn. However, you have to time the new character select at the right moment to get the great or perfect bonus to move to the next character. Down, fall if you miss to much. It becomes the enemies turn to attack.
Now, like Dokkan Battle and other anime type games. There are special attacks the characters can launch while in battle. And to be honest there a little better than Dokkan I feel. Now, Dokkan has stepped there game up. So, not sure how long the lead will last. But, for now it is just a little better.
Now, another cool feature I like and what makes the special attack feature cool is the dual combo character cards. Where you get a Luffy and Ace team up or Smoker and Tashigi team up. So on and so on… I like this cards a lot, because they give you a different take on team building. And from what I can tell the second character on the card is more of a support to the main character. Especially, when they perform a super attack.
Now, you can also power up and evolve your characters as well. Which is a really neat feature that gives you the chance to power up your favorite pirate or pirate crew. Each evolution gives your character new abilities and makes them stronger of course. But, it also gives you a new card art to appreciate. An the card art on some of this cards is amazing, and really captures the One Piece nuance.
Now, the only draw back for me is there is a lot going on in this game. Maybe, to much that may scare off new players. That don’t have the time to really dig into the game itself and push through it all. Different levels and challenges that are bunched together in a way that you can’t tell one thing from another. Along with the fact you can upgrade your ship to higher levels, and special events that come into play. With everything on one screen it feels a little overwhelming on what to do first.
And by far my favorite thing about games like this is the summoning screen for new characters. I absolute laughed my butt off when I first saw this one. Launching Luffy from a pirate ship into a bar, is such a great detail to this game. Capturing both the pirate life and One Piece humor all in one shot!
All in all this is a great game! And if you can work past all the different things you can do and figure out where to start. You will have a blast playing this game. Especially, if your a One Piece fan like me!
