Mango and Brash redesigns! Specifically how they look like for my au “Cold Case”.

Important info: • Mango learned how to do kandi from Cilantro, the two of them are also besties here :3

• Brash grew up in a wealthy family, that’s why he dresses so fancy.

• I was supposed to give Mango a hearing aid too, but idk how to draw that cause he doesn’t have… ears… if anyone has an idea lmk

• The pocket watch Brash has in his pocket used to belong to Daryl.

• In this universe, V.E.S.Ts can be styled however the wearer wants them to be, even off duty. Mango went for a funky sweater-V.E.S.T!

Alternative Ants in our P.A.N.T.S opening I saw in a dream once

So it began with Mango and Brash on the beach, like the original, but after talking a bit, Mango says “hey, let’s get in the water!” And Brash says “great! We can play with my beach ball!”

And so they play catch with the beach ball in the water (which is colored beige for reasons we’ll get to in a bit), and they’re having a good time until Mango realizes “Huh, this water feels funny…”

He looks down at the “water” beneath them and feels it with his claw, he THINKS it’s quicksand, but as he looks up to tell Brash they gotta get tf outta there, Brash is absorbing the stuff.

Mango backs away, eyes widened with horror as Brash’s shadow grows bigger— resembling Crackerdile— the next panel zooms in on his eyes before.

he wakes up. Instead of being at a meeting, he’s just on a park bench and presumably on a mission. And I vividly remember he was wearing a sweatervest (SweaterV.E.S.T perhaps?). Also instead of RoboBrash, Mango’s partner was this random human guy named Euclid (who I think was supposed to be Moe’s nephew?)

Anyway, Euclid berates him for making him spill his drink… and then my dad woke me up so idk how it could have progressed from there.

I haven’t read ALL OF Weather or Not yet, so idk if they ever revealed any of Daryl’s backstory outside of the Brash stuff, but here’s my personal headcanon.

Daryl never “lived” a full life. He studied and graduated top of his class, he trained hard, he even served in the military at some point, and worked hard as an agent at S.U.I.T… but outside of that, he had nothing going for him. He had no hobbies, no other friends, nothing of that sort. That’s because his parents told him stuff like that was “worthless” and that his efforts should be better spent improving himself and achieving success.

Which ended up leading to his massive ego in his adulthood. He never stopped chasing the high of being “the best”, being admired, respected- hell, even adored!
