Life Update

Hey Everyone!

Some of you may have noticed that our blog has been pretty inactive lately and I’d like to explain why. As I’ve said before, the only person running this blog is me, so when something big happens in my life, this gets put on the back burner. Well, back in October, something BIG happened in my life. I lost my job.

As you can imagine, I’ve been pretty busy lately finding a new job, relocating and getting settled and I now have a better position where I am MUCH happier. The downside is that I now have less free time to do stuff like this.

I’m writing this update because I don’t want you to think this blog is dead. Somehow, around 71,000 of you have stuck around and while I’m sure many of you forgot you were even following me, I still love you all.

I am working hard to get to place where I can regularly update the site again and I hope you will all be patient as I get my footing. There’s still lots of Nerdy Facts content to come!

UPDATE: 

Turns out they are kind of doing this! They are officially retconning the other Terminator movies and making the 6th one T3! 

Though I regret cutting out part of my pitch for time because it fits PERFECTLY with what they announced. My original pitch included a subplot where they find an old Sarah Conner who has been surviving on her own out in the wasteland. She's gruff and mean and John has mixed feelings about her joining them. They had a falling out when he was a young man and separated. She would join them to get to Skynet and be killed in the initial break-in to protect John. Here's hoping that this is the real movie that they're making!

Hey Everyone,

Just a head’s up that there will not be a video this weekend. Unfortunately I am only one guy here so writing, recording, and editing can be up to a week long process for me which leaves little time for anything else. This week I got a rare inspiration to work on one of my other creative endeavors that I’ve been working on for a few years (I say a few years, but taking into consideration all the time gaps between working on it, it’s probably only been a couple months).

I will try to get a video out sometime next weekend and hopefully when I’m finished with my other project, I can share that will you as well!

New Video Series Tomorrow

Hey Everybody!

Continuing our trend of unloading new videos, we’ll be uploading another one tomorrow. I’m particularly excited about this one because it’s the start of a new series called Nerdy Facts Pitcher’s Mound. It’s basically just a show where I pitch ideas for movies, accompanied by terrible drawings as visual aids.

Now we’re still technically on hiatus for the daily fact, but I’ve been sitting on the script for this for a while and decided to just go ahead and finish it. Summer Break

Hello everyone, you may have noticed a little inactivity on the blog in the past few days. Initially, this was because I was in Mexico for a week and was unable to do any updates for a while, but upon returning home, I have been utterly swamped at work. I fully intend on on continuing both our daily facts and our new video series, but for the time being, we will be on a brief hiatus. 

We hope you will stick around because we intend to come back very soon and are taking measures to improve our videos and release them more frequently. To those of you who have been with us since the beginning, you will recall that we have taken two other extended breaks when college or life got in the way, and as always we will be back better than ever.

Thanks to all our loyal followers who enjoy what we do, and encourage us to do more, see you soon!

Nerdy Fact #1888: The Pokédex entries for Slowpoke in Pokémon Sun & Moon reveal that the Pokémon’s tail is frequently torn off throughout its life. Not only is it painless for the Slowpoke, but it grows back. This address and rectifies the dark plot point throughout the second generation of Pokémon games wherein Team Rocket would steal and sell Slowpoke’s tail for humans to eat.

Nerdy Fact #1887: Coolio has stated that the only reason he agreed to make a cameo in Batman & Robin was because director Joel Schumacher offered him the lead villain role of The Scarecrow in an unproduced fifth Batman movie.
