WHEN HE FIRST DEVIATES , he feels so scared and lonely , going between houses in a desperate bid to be safe . when it is the lonely morning , and rupert is feeding an injured pigeon that he holds , he carefully pushes the door to a squat open with his shoulder . and then he freezes , because he’s not alone , but his company is- ... well , he’s bleeding blue , which gives rupert reason enough to not sprint . “ ... i have to - help this bird . ” he says , voice soft . @gardendroid .
