like if i were chrome and saw how happy-go-lucky my former teammate and friend was with his brand new teammates and showed basically no signs of missing me and reciprocating the intense grief and despair i felt for him i would go crazy too
i have noticed there is a recurring pattern in his character where he makes choices that could be at the expense of others and he has zero regrets
he dosent seem to realize sometimes the impact he has on people around him and is very VERY blunt which isn’t an inherently bad thing but can have an effect on others whether positive or negative (cough CHROME RYUGU cough)
the main problem with him is that he in a mainly CHARACTER-FOCUSED show has gotten no character-related development (i think. i have some confidence in my media literacy)
they do make up for this by developing all the side characters pretty well (ily ciel)
but the only change he could possibly have gone through as of now is slowly growing more and more insane by the episode
not to mention the things that should concern him barely phase him at all which concerns me personally
while multi and robin try to improve themselves in blading and personal growth , jaxon is on the sidelines, eating sushi. which im glad they haven’t focused so hard on jaxon this season and made up for where his character misses (letting things play out naturally despite multi becoming increasingly weaker at the start of s2, for example) with tenka who is also very blunt but not afraid to speak her mind
(jaxon also has this some sort of belief that if improvement should happen it should be self-inflicted. which is why he didn’t really worry when multi left on her journey because he knows it’s the best for multi and the team she figures it out on her own, because if tenka never pointed out all that her i doubt jaxon would’ve. if anything he’s much more subtle and gentle than tenka in his guidance whereas she points out their main flaws directly in order to help them change for the better)
if anything i just want a reason for this. why is he like this? why is he so self-motivated? why is he so chill and laidback and carefree? i mean, if he left team pendragon so quick after reaching the top of the X what is going to happen if team persona does the same? how well do his teammates actually even know him? he’s pretty emotionally detached and closed off from the group ngl and i think robin notices it in ep 77 especially. i know he hasn’t left persona because he genuinely cares about them, but he never l truly expresses it that explicitly
there is obviously a darker side to jaxon, yknow the one that cackles maniacally and starts acting batshit crazy over spinning tops? yeah that one. give us a look into why the hell he acts like that. he gets soo concerningly hyped over it i wonder what extent he would go to if it meant he could blade
so. i hope and pray to the beyblade gods that the writers do something with all these “negative” or alarming traits of his and have it treated seriously and not ignored like they usually are
have him reach his breaking point or something and just snap. lean into his selfishness and obliviousness and bluntness

not to say i hate jaxon. i do love him a lot, really. i was very invested in the chrome arc of s1 and thought it provided more context regarding jaxon’s character and i do think all these attributes make him an interesting character to explore and mess around with! but i also wonder if he will remain the same for the entire running of the show and if so
it would make me, as a dedicated viewer, unsatisfied

I was confused what the writers were going for in S2 because Jaxon went a completely different way than I’d anticipated (S1 was phenomenal imo a bit slow to start but good that’s unrelated btw I just wanna compliment it) BECAUSE HE WAS BECOMING LESS LIKE. LESS SYMPATHETIC I GUESS? If you put Episode 11 Jaxon to Episode 77 Jaxon there is. Quite. A difference.
I think the way I would’ve envisioned S2 going without the involvement of Tenka might’ve been Jaxon being a bit blunt with his words but doing smth similar he did with Robin and like tag along with Multi but then his words actually hurt her and she leaves and Robin would be able to be like “dude what the fuck did you just do”
I think his reason for Blading is pretty self explanatory though. I wonder why he is the way he is personality wise but as for his love for Blading I too am passionate about a certain hobby (drawing) because it’s really fun for me. It’s nice to get others to see it and get hyped up (like we’re in a Beyblade stadium and getting a crowd hyped up) but it’s still nice to draw and do so with friends. Obviously I’m not. As good at what I’m passionate about and love like Jaxon nor do I think I’d drop everything in my life solely for it but there are moments that I think “this is what my life needed” or “this is what life is” and I get really happy and into it.

They turned Jaxon into a selfish, no-empathy guy since... I can’t even remember, season 2? Jaxon in S1 and S2 is literally a completely different person. They developed his character to be WORSE, not better or anything like that.
I swear I loved Jaxon. He was my first fave before I found out everyone else liked him too, and I was like “ok fine I’ll just like Robin instead.” But deadass, sometimes I HATE Jaxon so much in season 2 and after.

I do love how Jaxon always seems clueless but he’s actually not. Remember S1 at the diner? Robin straight-up said Multi was acting way different on camera, and Jaxon was like “it’s because Multi’s opened up to us.”
There were a few episodes (i don't remember which ones) where I kept getting the feeling Jaxon knew whenever Robin was crying quietly. That proves he’s actually perceptive to the situation, but sometimes he just acts like he doesn’t care and does whatever he wants.
It’s cool to be yourself and not care what people think about you, but real talk, I feel like Jaxon takes it way too far.
Like what not-kamenx said, he comes off unsympathetic, like he has zero empathy even when it’s serious or whatever. C’MON BEYBLADE, GIVE HIM SOME EMPATHY JUST A LITTLE BIT PLEASEI genuinely NEED Jaxon in some kind of internal conflict or whatever, like him reflecting on how he might’ve been awful to his teammates now (Persona) or before (Pendragon). Something like “...maybe I went too far with them..” or smth.

This is one of the reasons I always write and describe Jaxon as the type who, if he falls in love, he falls SO hard he can’t get back up and wouldn’t even if he could.
I write Jaxon as being SO deeply in love with Robin, more than anything. Sometimes I write Jaxon loving Robin more than Beyblade (yes this is super non-canon, forgive me) and that way it’s so easy to make Jaxon angst.
For example: they get into a massive fight and Robin starts doubting their relationship, and Jaxon spirals because he can’t even imagine what happens if they break up. I have more but there’s no way I’m typing all of it here (as much as I want to).

ekubird I love them so much.. imagine if they were super agent/pro agent and married. Ekusu in my hc have a curve body and smol waist, so he's often disguise as a woman. Bird often laughs at her husband wearing that dress, it always endvwith Ekusu being annoyed but immediately happy after being given a kiss.
