I think I'm going insane with the silence. Where is everybody?
See? Iām fun.
Yeah I see. So what else do you do for fun?
I once stayed up past midnight. Done, and done.
Damn you're right. I actually think you're too fun for me.Ā
I am too.
Oh yeah? Prove it.
Nothinā special.
I highly doubt that.
I donāt knowā¦huh.
You're no fun.Ā
Something interesting. Fun, rebellious, outrageous.Ā
Well you've got me interested, can you be more specific now?
I really was staring at nothing. I do that sometimes, zone out.
Well what were you thinking about then, if your mind was so far away?
[sighs] But itās boring just sitting in the silence. I mean yeah, itās nice not hearing the blabbering of idiots for a while but having nothing to do isnāt fun.
What do you suggest we do instead?Ā
Nothing.
You were definitely staring at something. Spill.
She reached her hand out. Exhilarating? What was he? Some kind of sick twisted sadistic creep? She still didnāt face him, tears were still coming out her eyes. Her hand twisted. She had no idea if this would work, but she wasnāt thinking about that. All she wanted to do was get revenge, because the truth is, she was still angry. She was still upset. She hadnāt forgiven and unfortunately for the boy, she was going to take 7 years of anger out on him. The sink began to rumble and she knew the water pressure was building up. With one sharp hand flick the sink erupted a sense of power emerged over her. She stood up, facing the boy and walked over to him. āThere are so many things I can do to. I could make you drown. I could suck all the moisture out from you with a single touch. I could shatter you bones with a single swipe of my hand. I am not weak any more.ā That last comment wasnāt so much directed at him any more. In fact she began to wonder if any of it was.
Timothy looked over at the sink as it exploded, though his face stayed disinterested and unimpressed, then he looked back at her as she stood up. He smiled slightly as she shouted at him, at her threats. They were just words, empty or not, he didn't really care. He shrugged when she'd finished. "Good for you." He said mockingly, a smirk set on his lips. "Do you want to get some food or something? I'm starving." He asked, rubbing his stomach for affect
Am I missing something or is it really quiet?
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh, you're ruining the peace.
What are you staring at?
Well other than killing someone, there has to be a way to break the rules. A fun way.
Hmm, what about setting fire to the grounds, having sex on Professor X's desk, shaving people's eyebrows off?
Well I guess so, Iām always happy, so probably.
Always happy? Well that sounds horrible.
[chuckles] Probably. But I think Iād rather wait until someone did something to make me hurt them, before I jumped to doing it for no reason.Ā
That's probably the best course of actions. Sounds an awful lot like following the rules though.
As his fingers lifted, she turned her body around allowing everything to release. She began shaking, tears started flooding out of her eyes. She gripped the scars on her neck, trying to get them to stop hurting. Instead all she was doing was replaying the scenes in her head. Replaying the pain. Replaying the heart ache. But then she paused, remembering what he had said. āI would rather feel something, any day. No matter if itās hate, or love or regret. No matter if itās the pain of scars or the ecstasy of sex. And if you choose not to feel, you choose not to be alive.āĀ
He was barely paying attention to her as she broke down into sobs and tears. Instead he was running his fingers through his hair, over his face and neck and chest, reassuring himself that he could still feel, that he was still there. He was snapped out of his daze by her speech. "Well I'm glad I could be of assistance in this revelation." He said distractedly. "I'm pretty sure I won't be choosing to die any time soon." He smirked. "And I must say, that was pretty exhilarating wasn't it?" He said wide eyed with excitement. "We should do this again some time."
