Galaktikon II - Post Lyric Release Analysis
Hello friends! If you follow this blog for Dragon Ball content, avert your eyes from what is about to be a full critique, breakdown, and analysis of my favorite metal album of the last 5 years.Â
Released on August 26, 2017, Galaktikon II is the 2nd studio album of Galaktikon, combo metal outlet of Brendon Small, Gene Hoglan, and Bryan Beller. I say âcombo metalâ because what the fuck even is this, other than holy?

[ Dethalbum III ] Dethklok - Crush The Industry Short Cover
Third video of August. This time: Crush The Industry
Having fun with the new camera that I'm borrowing. Looks much cooler than my smartphone's footage. Really considering switching to a every other week release format. Been struggling with time and the new challenges of every song in terms of mixing and in general. Damn, adding orchestral sections to a metal song is super fun. This week I'll work on The Agenda, but depending on my schedule, maybe I'll upload it the first monday of September. Thanks for the awesome music, Brendon :).
Thanks to you current viewers that support me with kind words and constructive criticism. And as always, please let me know what you think in general in terms of mixing and overall sound. I'm learning a lot :)
Buy Brendon's music!
Buy the album now, it's awesome!!! Better with headphones.Â
Second short cover of August. This time: The Ocean Galaktik. Damn I love this song. Struggling with the mixing part, in terms of clarity, stereo imaging and overall depth. I don't have proper speakers, so I do everything with headphones. Not the optimal solution, but well. Also having a really hard time optimizing the workflow, with my limited options in recording, video filming and editing. But damn it, I'm learning a whole f*****g lot. So thanks to me for pulling this off, and thanks to you kind people (honestly) for the comments and the feedback. And, yes, eventually I'll make a short version of "The Agenda" aswell :). I have a pretty big list actually.Â
Oh and also thanks to the awesome Reddit community that worked really hard on the lyrics! https://www.reddit.com/r/Galaktikon/c...Â

I missed my chance last year. Not gonna let it happen again
People always say find reasons to keep living when youâre depressed. And you should, but they donât have to be deep or profound reasons.
Keep living because a book you want to read doesnât come out until next month.
Keep living because your mom said sheâd make your favorite food for dinner.
Keep living because the weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow and you can go swimming, or biking, or just sit on the lawn.
Your reason doesnât have to be âbecause Iâll find my purposeâ or something equally grandiose. Stay alive because you want to visit the neighborâs dog. Because of that movie you want to see. Because you want to read one more book, draw one more picture, cook one more meal, take one more walk.
Find those small reasons to keep going and then keep finding them. Sometimes those anchors can keep you afloat and thatâs all you need. To keep staying afloat until it does get easier.
You can do this. Keep on living.
