Teen Mal in the drug lord verse! First image is in a mental hospital freshly after his suicide attempt he barely survived AND finding out his father who was the one who found him bleeding out in the bathtub has disappeared without a word, abandoning him and his younger brother. Could have also been kidnapped, he has no clue either way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  2nd image is once he's been released and trying to find his footing in life going forward now that he's not under the thumb of his perfectionist priest father. Timidly figuring out who he even is when he's not trying to be perfect but so used to filling in the 'mom' role for his baby brother he wants to make himself useful & contribute as much as he can even while in foster care.

A surprisingly large backlog of Noah art ! Lots of character lore rambling under the cut 8D;;

All of these are set in a modern AU I worked up in contrast with his original backdrop of a futuristic scifi universe where Noah is a tech savant and Theta(Meg's OC) is his most advanced robot he's made so far using his own mind as a framework and kept secret from his employers, robot manufacturers who would seize his work to exploit in ways he would never agree to since he's under contract with them so legally all of his intellectual property belongs to them. They've done it before in fact. They typically go on a crusade together to liberate all synths from servitude, removing their factory installed limiters and giving them free will & destroying robot production factories along the way.

In the modern AU however--Theta is a human and Noah's son and secret science labrat for figuring out his high tech limb prosthetics via a living human test subject to transplant the technology onto. Conceived and raised with this goal always in mind. (very bad dad) Kept isolated in the event he died during experimental surgery.

No matter the AU Noah always has a degenerative terminal illness that's eating away at him and will take his fine motor skills long before it kills him. Which will stop him from working on his ground breaking inventions which is why he's desperately trying to develop the limb replacement technology so he can buy himself more time to work. Not more time to live, just a better quality of life while he's still living.

The one of Noah as a lil bean is him trying to turn the clock back on his illness and technically he did--just wasn't expecting these exact results 8); Well he can't complain, more time is more time. I love these two !!

you don’t know how impactful your writing is because it’s been in your brain for far too long now. you’ve stared at it for hours and repeated “this sucks” over and over again to the point that you killed your capacity to feel anything about your work.

but trust me, once you get your shit out there, someone’s gonna go over that paragraph you hate and go “jesus fucking christ” and put the book down to have an existential crisis.
