I just remembered the theory I saw that said that Violet is Dunne and Xaden is Malek in a previous life.
And The fact that SHE'S always calling for Malek for strength and HE'S always calling for Dunne for strength!! Also, Xaden says, "you've been mine longer than you think"
AND After Liam dies (sobs), and Violet is in her room crying and thinking about him, Liam appears to her. She says, "You're a hallucination from pain and dehydration." and he replies, "Maybe. Or maybe Malek sent me as a kindness."
She says Malek doesn't do kindness but WHAT IF XADEN SENT HIM? AAAAAAAAA
Onyx Storm Theory #3
Just saw a theory that said "What if Violet and Xaden got married in OS Chapter 3"
Their reasonings were: Literally the entire crew was waiting outside their door the next morning, Violet doesn't remember falling asleep the previous night.
BUT LEMME ADD ON TO THIS:
- The stone on Violet's ring that was taken from Xaden's family dagger or sm (fact check me on this) was missing from the dagger MUCH BEFORE the end of the book
- "far too casual of a term for what we are"
- "consort" - maybe a slip up but also maybe he just wanted to flex his amazing wife
- why would Xaden look towards Bodhi if he's already married to Violet?
- Because there's still a real possibility that she dies when he does. Theoretically she could live on because of Andarna but realistically she's dying.
- AND he's a backup, the king could still deny Violet the right to be on that throne as it's only from Xaden's family line. Bodhi can squash that argument by supporting Violet's rule.
am i overthinking this 😭

Fourth Wing Book Covers Theory
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but if you think about it, the colours perfectly represent Andarna throughout the series ~
Fourth wing: A golden baby feathertail as she bonds with Violet
Iron Storm: Transforms into an adolescent, choosing to turn her golden scales black. Hence the transition from gold to black
Onyx Storm: The irid that we know and love, leaves. Turning the black she's chosen into a blank white page. The wall through which Violet could usually reach her through, is gone, leaving nothing but a blank slate.
I pray to all the gods willing to listen in hopes that she will return. I miss her so much.

But could a possible cure for Xaden just be Imogen erasing his memory of taking the magic in the first place? Or is this more of a 'the mind may forget but the body remembers' scenario?

It would just be for tonight when I dream of him. Maybe that's why I'm fighting so hard to keep my eyes open. Maybe he thinks it's a mistake. Maybe he thinks we might make it. But in my mind, he's already mine.
Only for tonight though, until the moon disappears. I can love him as he sleeps. I can love him until the sun comes up and I'm forced to face the reality of tonight meaning nothing to him. I can pretend he's awake too, knowing I love him. I wish I didn't have to, and my heart skips a beat as I realize he's online.
Is he re-reading our texts like I am? Is he regretting it? Is he regretting not doing it earlier? Perhaps I'll just pretend this is our normal.
Perhaps I'll pretend he's already mine and I'm already his and this is just one night among the countless others we've already shared and would share. Until the stars shine, I'm his and he's mine. Until the moon looks over us tonight, I love him and I'll believe he loves me back. Until the sun stays down, I'll pretend we have an eternity together. Until I have to face reality, I'll live and love in this meticulously crafted day dream, hoping, praying, begging that this means as much to him as it does to me.
Maybe these ideas of him will mean more to me than our reality ever will

No but think of all the Azris angst... Azriel, the fucking Shadowsinger, one of the most feared warriors, flinching at the sight of Eris' flame the first time they fought.
The way Eris would instantly realize and apologize as he hold Az close for the rest of the night. The way Azriel would trust Eris not to harm him like his father and brothers did, because Eris isn't just Azriel's family... he's his entire world.
I am crying because I live for exactly this kind of Azris angst.

The way Eris would hold him, brush his hand over his head, assure him he is there for him and no one and nothing will ever hurt him again.
Also don't think about Azriel's soothing shadows and low growls when he notices the burns Beron continues to give Eris. Don't think about Azriel sharing the healing salve Ruhn had given him although it's running out and his hands still hurt but oh how could he live when his mate is in pain.
Don't think about Eris having nightmares about Azzie's hands being burnt. Don't think about the time Az gets captured by Beron's men and Eris can't do anything but watch Az get tortured as he tries to get a word out to the night court.
That got out of hand real quick but now I gotta read a fanfic on this 😭

i read a lot of angst. I read crimson rivers, I read atyd fuck I read choices for normal people I read they both die at the end, the perks of being a wallflower, dead poets society, call me by your name so i thought in my experience there really isn’t book that would totally emotionaly kill me…well i started the Book thief yesterday. I literally read 30 pages and oh man that book is something else
