• Don’t rush yourself
Similar to my other post on gender questioning, you don’t need to rush yourself on knowing your sexuality. It’s okay to not know. Thinking about it too much leads to stress and even sadness. It’s important you keep calm with it.
• Experiment
There’s nothing wrong with trying to date someone of the same gender, or just dating different people of any gender. It could actually help you to know who you’re really attracted to. But do it only if the other person is okay with it.
• Consider a romantic orientation
Romantic orientations are defined more of something emotional, hugging and kissing. You can have a sexual orientation and a romantic one. For example, you can have a romantic attraction to people of any gender, meaning you’d be panromantic. If you had sexual attraction to men and women, you’d be bisexual (you could also be bisexual and have sexual attraction to two or more genders, whichever way you want to define your sexuality is up to you).
• Think of interaction
Say you’re a girl who’s questioning whether they’re bisexual. Would you ever date a girl? Could you see yourself being with a girl? Would you ever kiss a girl? Would you ever have sex with a girl? These are things you should think of, and you can try answering them yourself the best you can, or experiment to see if that helps.
• Do your research
Researching different orientations and attractions can help you with your questioning. It could answer questions you might have and clear up a few things. Another thing you could try is talking to people who are of a certain orientation you feel they may be and politely ask them how the figured they were whatever sexuality.
• Talk to someone about it
If your questioning if causing sadness or stress, talk to a close friend about it, or a family member, or even writing it down is a good idea if you’re not up for talking.
• LOVE YOURSELF
Whatever you sexuality may be, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, or even a romantic orientation, you are always valid and who you are shouldn’t change for anyone else. Questioning can take time, but you’ll figure everything out. ❤️🏳️🌈
