April 18, 2014 - The Intro to Newer Genres class at Maryland Institute College of Art presents Nice Package, a group artist multiples project consisting of an edition of fifty handmade boxes containing a variety of multiples projects ranging from zines to t-shirts, small sculptures, and tapes will be on display and for sale at Gallery CA. The free event will also feature live performances from students. Food and refreshments will be served.
Nice Package is an experimental opportunity for current Newer Genres students to share discoveries and inspirations through an alternative form of dispersion. Each Nice Package multiples box will be on sale for the sliding scale price of $10 to $20; and will include individual works of art by Melvin Thomas, Rebecca Tishman, Sydney Spann, Jenny McCune, Caroline Kunka, Ana Komar, Bomin Jeon, Jake Lazovick, Helen Jackson-Adams, Christianna Clark, Ashley Ferro, Alexis Daley, Anna Brancaccio, and Will Blankin.
Visit Gallery CA on Friday, March 9th 7-10pm for a convivial experience of art and entertainment from MICA’s BEST. Performances start at 8:30pm.
