Ahaha, I like everything in order. Cluttered spaces lead to cluttered minds, and I like my head clear and undistracted.
Yeah? I like the way you think.

Ahaha, I like everything in order. Cluttered spaces lead to cluttered minds, and I like my head clear and undistracted.
Yeah? I like the way you think.
It’s not boring, I don’t mind hearing about them. They definitely sound horrible to room with, though. Don’t worry, I’m really big into cleanliness and know how to clear up after myself. And I like music, but I rarely listen to it in my leisure time.
Oh, listening to music in your free time definitely wouldn't be an issue- as long as 'free time' doesn't equate to three in the morning. Glad to hear you know how to pick up after yourself, though.
Because the only person who ‘complains’ is you.
Sure, maybe I complain because I secretly want to talk to you. Or maybe, just maybe, I complain because you piss me off. If I just wanted to talk to you, I'd just talk to you. Do I really strike you as the kind of person who'd make up stupid excuses to talk to someone?
Sounds like they weren’t great experiences. What was so bad about them?
I think a better question might be what wasn't bad about them. The first one was just so messy, it was like living in a disaster zone. And it wasn't just that she wasn't tidy; maybe I could've lived with that. But she always ate in the dorm, and she was not a clean eater, or someone who really understood the concept of cleaning up after herself. And then there was the music. Don't get me wrong, I like music... but music at 3 in the morning? Not so much. And then there was my roommate last year, who started the year off by having her boyfriend over almost every night. Things got better when he broke up with her, but then of course it took her like a month to get over it, and let's just say she wasn't exactly quiet about her mourning. That's just the tip of the iceberg, but I won't bore you with any more of the details.
Glad I’m passing your standards.
Believe me, so am I. After the roommates I've had the last two years, it's a major relief.
Thanks, you’re pretty helpful yourself.
Only because you seem pretty cool though. If you seemed lazy or inept, I probably wouldn't bother.
Great! And alright, let me know what he says?
Will do; I'm sure he'll say yes. Like I said, very helpful.
It’s been really great! I like getting to spend so much time with them and getting to know them better.
Sounds like fun! Even if one of them is Preston.
Sure! I’m in. And really? Thanks for the suggestion. Would it be okay for you to give me his number so I can get in contact with him?
Cool, it's tomorrow after school. And I'm sure he wouldn't mind, but let me just make sure real quick.
Texting: Sydney -> Ryder
Sydney: Hey, is it alright if I give my roommate your number? She's new, and she's looking for people who might know about different student organizations than I do.
Book club sounds fun, I might check it out. And alright! I’ll ask around with some of the other students and faculty. I’m sure I’ll find some more suggestions.
Yeah? I'm probably going this week, if you want to come with. As for people to ask about more clubs, maybe Ryder Lynn? I don't know how much he knows about the clubs here, but he's friendly and generally pretty helpful.
Ahaha, understandable. I’m not sure if I’m exactly for it either, but I do find it comforting.
So, what sort of things are there to do around here? I researched clubs a bit before I transferred, but I’m not sure what ones are really active or good ideas to join.
Well that depends on what you're into, I guess. I'm probably not the best person to ask since I really don't have much time for clubs, though I do try to make it to the book club meetings when I get the chance.
That’s good! My roommate wasn’t bad, I mean we weren’t best friends or anything, but we got along okay.
Oh yeah, you're living with your brothers now, right? How's that going?
Man, I hope not.
Don't worry, you'll learn to be close personal friends with caffeine soon enough.
Well, that’s good. I hope you guys get along.
Yeah, it's been going well... surprisingly well, actually.
Yeah, I’m sure she’ll show up. She might just be busy.
Yep, found her! Or rather, she showed up- not a whole lot of searching involved.
Yeah, I’m kinda worried about how much I’ll have when finals get close.
Probably enough that you'll forget what sleep feels like.
