Today is the deadline for the 7 states whose citizens depend on water from the Colorado River to come to an agreement to prevent “dead pool”. Dead pool is not the smart talking Ryan Reynold character, but a crisis where lake levels are so low that water cannot flow out and downstream to S. California, Nevada and Arizona. That could mean up to 40 million people are left with almost no water and the breadbasket of the US would have no irrigation, effecting every single family in the US. Amazing birthday meal at @pujolrestaurant named on the top 40 restaurants in the world list, and rightly so! Tasting menu of fish and vegetables using traditional and historic Mexican ingredients and techniques was simply out-of-this-world. A simple pumpkin tamale with red and white sauce was one of the highlights, though the 8 year old mole was so insanely deep and complex, it was hard to beat.
