IT'S FINISHEDDDD
to escape limbo you have to beat winnie the pooh's home run derby
@quiddie just blew my mind and I will absolutely be using my notes app to do hand-written notes at my table now
Sometimes it feels like you've lived your whole life in a house that's always a little bit on fire. Like it's usually just in one room and you make sure to wet the walls around it so it doesn't spread and that usually works. You were expected to take more responsibility over fire containment when you were like seven because it's not like you can expect your parents to always be 100% on guard about making sure the whole house doesn't catch fire, and you figure that's just how things are like.
And sometimes as a kid you visit your friends' homes and some of then whisper to you - grimacing with embarrassment - about how they're not supposed to tell anyone this, but there's a whole room in their house that's currently on fire. And you're like yeah it's ok I'm not supposed to tell people about the way our house is a little bit on fire all the time, too. And then you visit some other friend's house and there's no trace of fire anywhere, and you think "wow, these people are really good at hiding their house fire."
And one day you show up to work like "hey sorry I'm late, I forgot to wet the walls before going to bed last night and my whole house burned down", and you're startled by the way people react, acting like that must be the worst thing that has ever happened to you. And you're just like "chill, it's been years since the last time this happened, and it wasn't even that bad this time", and that just makes people more shocked, acting like that's the weirdest and most concerning thing they've ever heard anyone say, which only confuses you more.
And then someone tries to explain to you that people aren't supposed to have an ongoing house fire. Most people actually never experience a house fire in their lives. Like not even once. Not even a little bit. The normal amount of having your house be currently on fire is zero.
[ID: The first image is of a snorlax plushie over an orange flaming background with text that says: "I'm can't." The second is of a charmander plushie over blue flames that says: "and I'm won't." The third is a picture of both of them and their flames with flaming text. The last is a gif of flaming text that says: "the not gonna do it brothers." End ID]
I wonder if vets are amused by asking cat owners to administer medications in increasingly improbable ways. “Give this cat eye drops five times a day.” Like. I will. Of course I will; I care about my cat. But this is going to be some fucking looney tunes shenanigans once she figures out what’s going on.
That one friend that doesn't play about UNO
they're silly
(2014) Behold, a bastardized Fanart Friday!!
I haven't played TF2 in a while but I was unsurprisingly a pyro main. I started with Heavy and enjoyed Scout and LOVED Engineer, I got REALLY good with Engineer XD But I only ever drew the Pyro.
it's always "you gnawed off your own leg to escape like an animal caught in a trap" and never "why didn't anyone try to help you out of the trap" or "why weren't you provided with any other resources to escape the trap with except for your own teeth"
tumblrinas need to see this
one thing about americans is that they know how to make a fucking milkshake
i hate the stupid milk consistency shit you get here like if you give me a milkshake it better be rock fucking solid. i want that thang thick like concrete. it should piss me off trying to drink it through a straw. i should have to wait for it to thaw
Americans are so good at making Beverage. One of our Foundational Moments was actually a party involving Making Beverage. Google "Boston Tea Party" for more
(2012) Fanart Friday! Korra, from Legend of Korra!
Even now I'm SO proud of this drawing. I started Legend of Korra before I ever saw ATLA and was watching it when it was being released weekly online. I still remember sitting in my dingy college apartment obsessively waiting for each new episode to come out just biting my knuckles in anticipation. What a fun ride that first season was.
Aaaaa I've been so good about these. Hee! Happy THROWBACK THURSDAY! (2016) Here's my Five Heroes with their Enceladi: Hyale & Ambassador / Jericho & Changeling / Io, Suzanne & Loremaster / Fool & Oracle / Vespertine & Operator.
I've been working hard on my long form comic about the blorbos and their Shadows. For the first time in 15+ years it's all coherent and prepped for storyboarding. Almost 100k words!
Hope today is being kind to y'all <3
my dad took me to see brokeback mountain in theaters because it was not even a little bit promoted as a queer love story, so we had no idea. he was just like "cowboy movie! yeehaw" and then my dad realized what was going on before I did, and we watched people scream and throw food and walk out throwing tantrums, and my very undiagnosed anxiety disorder skyrocketed because of the crowd reaction. my dad asked if we needed to leave, I said the crowd was stressing me out but I was liking the movie. so he said "cool. let them leave and enjoy it in peace" which is what we did, and then I kept watching and I understood™️ and my anxiety did not get better, but on the drive home the only thing dad said was "well! they told a hell of a love story" and he said the nervous dad cackle, and at 14 I didn't get him very much at all, but I think he knew years before I knew and he was trying to figure out how to tell me it was okay.
