hellooooooo! this site feels like a lost old friend that has changed so much that i don't even know what's going on anymore, and i have no idea if i'm just talking into the void here but...i wrote something!

it's been many years since i wrote anything creative, let alone a fic, and this is so not related to anything i've ever posted on this blog ever, but i recently got inspired by Robby and Samira's dynamic on The Pitt enough that 9,000 words spilled out of me completely unprompted. not sure how it happened or if it will ever happen again, lol, but it lives on ao3 here.

heart is in complete shambles after looking at geoff payne looking at the memorial and thanking fans and paul higgins being there like no parent should ever have to bury their child this is truly heartbreaking. and paul being there is just so. god they really were all so close and formed genuine relationships with everyone during 1d and that clip in this is us where paul says he's like the boys' dad on tour and now he's about to go bring liam back to the uk. i just. this is truly the most heartbreaking thing ever

louis’ is celebrating their bond, their friendship, the love they held for one another that got them through so many tough times. it’s saying they will never get to stand on a stage together again but let’s celebrate the good times, let’s remember the love.

zayn’s is highlighting that they were just kids at the start, they were boys thrown together into an insane, unimaginable situation and they needed each other. they found solace and comfort in each other and no one else can understand what they went through growing up together but they clung on to each other.

and harry’s… god. harry’s is just liam. liam on stage looking out on thousands of fans doing his favourite thing in the world. and that’s how harry wanted to honour him, making other people happy.

some of 1D's best songs exist because of liam payne, by the way. liam and louis were the dream team. they all wrote some good songs, but man. every time liam and louis joined up together, it ended up being a fucking banger. better than words. end of the day. fireproof. there are so many, so many strong songs that took 1D from being just a silly little "girl band" (which is what they always were and always will be to us, to me) to being something special, something that pierced through the industry whether people liked it or not. that was my band. they were my boys. i will miss liam for the rest of my life, and i'm not exaggerating that. not only because of who he was in the band, not only because of who he could have been once he held himself accountable enough to grow. i will miss his music, his talent. his voice. god. his voice. i'll just miss him. i miss him already.
