A list of questions about blorbos.
I was thinking about the Blorbos—as per usual—and decided to make a list of questions that would help others get to know them better.
Feel free to share it so others can ask about your OC's too, and feel free to ask any of these about any of my creatures.
Do they prefer cold or warm environments?
What's their favorite spot of their homes?
What's their favorite spot in the world?
Do they have any core memories, regardless of age?
How do they behave around children?
How do they behave around animals?
What did they want to be as a child? Did they made it?
How do they react when someone cries in front of them?
What’s something they miss that no longer exists?
What’s a habit they inherited from someone else? Do they notice they do it?
What kind of person brings out the worst in them?
What kind of person brings out the softest version of them?
What’s something that feels intimate to them, even if others might consider it meaningless?
What makes them cringe? (May be out of second hand shame or plain fear/contempt)
What kind of affection are they bad at receiving?
Is there something they love in secret? Why do they hide it?
Do they keep any secrets? Their own or someone else’s?
Is there anything that makes them feel embarrassed?
What’s something childish they still do? Do they do it openly?
What’s the quickest way to make them uncomfortable?
What’s the quickest way to make them feel comfortable?
Do they let people into their home or personal space easily? What would they discover about them if they did?
What's the last thing they think about before falling asleep?
What is their relationship with pain? Do they tolerate it well, hide it, or even enjoy it?
Do they acknowledge their wounds openly, or do they pretend nothing hurts them?
What’s the cruelest thing someone has ever said to them?
What’s something they can forgive once, but never twice?
What’s the longest grudge they’ve ever held?
What’s something they’re terrified people will discover about them?
What’s something they wish people noticed about them?
Do they feel envy? If so, of what?
What is their greatest fear?
What is their greatest wish?
Are they afraid of growing old?
Do they think people truly know them?
What are you(metaphorically) made of? : salt.
You make up the ocean that kisses the cold sand, and retreats from the feet of the child at its shore. You make the tears that trace the cheeks of the widow and dribble off her lips. Salt races through your blood; sorrowful and tender. You taste of skinned knees and forgotten birthdays, of the first time you loved someone who didn’t stay, of that kiss so soft it broke both of you open. You are the ache in the chest that becomes familiar, a sadness you’ve made into shelter. You long to be understood, even when the wanting hollows you out, even when you know it leaves you raw. There is a strange comfort in the brand of sadness that sinks in your gut, once it becomes as familiar as salt. Once it knows you like a mother. When you know the salt on your tongue like a second language, anything other than somber tastes foreign.

what kind of quiet are are you? —3am quiet
you are restless, thoughtful, and feel a bit overwhelmed. your silence is never really silent: it’s filled with thoughts, memories, and things you wish you could turn off. this is the quiet where everything becomes louder. where you replay, rethink, and feel more than you probably want to. take a breather, go for a walk, something to clear your mind. you’re doing great, dont forget to rest and stay hydrated <3

As a disclaimer, I write on discord primarily. Sometimes I slip up and use the discord commands to bold and italicize things out of habit. I had never used ai to change or enhance my writing and I never will. But thanks for your fucking concern.

಄—The ruins of the ancient Gelmorra were vast - networks of caves, systems of tunnels and dark crypts carved deep beneath the Twelveswood. There were as many traps to be found in those ruins as there were deep-earth dwelling enemies, and yet Getou was determined to complete his reconnaissance work. He and his allies would be pushing forward into the Deepcroft soon, and he wanted to take a look at the surrounding territory before launching headfirst into an ancient crypt pulsing with unearthly energy.
During his exploration, he had come across an artifact of interest - it looked to be some sort of mirror, with imperfect silver marred by black blotches within the glass. Its frame was a fragile-looking rope of copper and silver, with a thick patina that coated the twisted metal vines. His contracted Voidsent had responded excitedly to the artifact, and so Getou had examined it.
The relic reacted tiredly to his touch, as if there simply wasn't energy enough still hosted within to conjure its full effect. It glowed but once, and nothing had seemed to result from the interaction. He wrapped it carefully within a host of *ofuda*, talismans to seal and transport it. If he could stumble upon it, it was feasible to say that other hands, less cautious or less equipped to contend with supernatural events may do the same. It would need to be analyzed and placed somewhere more secure. He happened to keep company with a knowledgeable Duskwight, and he would query her insight, first.
It wasn't until he'd left that catacomb and come to the surface of the Twelveswood that he spotted Noctis on the road up ahead of him. Yet, the profound implications of the young royal's presence in Eorzea would not occur to Getou all at once.
Recognition raced across Getou's features as his eyes widened in a moment of surprise, followed by a smile that unfurled like a banner of welcome across his affable mouth. Of all the unexpected encounters, this reunion surely had placed among the foremost of candidates!
Getou nudged at the Ahriman that floated in front of his shoulder, dismissing it from a defensive vigil as he stepped in front of it to approach Noctis with a warm air. The Voidsent (one of Getou's earliest acquired "replacement 'Curses,'" as the composition of apparitions and disembodied entities had invited the sorcerer to utilize creative methods where his innate abilities were concerned. ) thus averted its critical, singular eye from Noctis' regal bearing.
Ahriman were no substitute for Satoru's perceptions, but they were uniquely gifted at perceiving the arcane energies of the star, and in his absence during Getou's task of exploring Gelmorran ruins - it was a decidedly welcomed capability.
Noctis Caelum — some time ago, a chance meeting had transpired between himself and the younger royal, where their roles had become somewhat reversed. Noctis had been the wanderer far from home, and Getou had the pleasure of playing both host and combat companion.
Together they had clashed with foes from Noctis' realm, commissioned repairs for the Regalia, indulged in a little fishing - Noctis' favorite pastime, and underwent a trial to take the prince's measure at the behest of the wind divinity familiar with Noctis' journey. Noctis was a capable, resolved individual who held his bonds in high esteem - traits that Getou appreciated in a person. He was amiable, but he hadn't once sought to exploit those around him and didn't seem to harbor designs of malice towards anyone.
Though Noctis could be taciturn at times, his companionship was offered in sincerity and goodwill. Getou got along with him well enough, and held his potential in high regard. While their cooperative expedition was brief, their friendship was still bearing the test of time and distance with steadfast grace.
Well, perhaps less in the way of distance, as the moment suggested.
He closed the distance between them, and clapped a hand fondly on Noctis' shoulder, as if prior to touch, some disbelief lingered in his mind that his intrepid friend could really have returned to Eorzea.
Noctis spoke, and Getou affirmed the weight of his words without revealing how dire they sounded in his mind. Had something happened in that distant, sister world? What about that melancholy, serene young woman he'd seen in the field of light that had enveloped Noctis the first time he had departed? Was she all right? Was Noctis?
❝Alive? Of course you are. You're back a little sooner than I expected, but I never said I was complaining.❞
He glanced him over subtly, as if the situation could be gleaned from the surface. The man's expression - his posture, anything that would provide an explanation. Inquiring as to why he was back already might prove a demanding topic, and so he would let Noctis decide how much he desired to divulge, and when.
Noctis turned at the sound of footsteps, moving to raise his lance and then stopping short as he caught sight of the man just ahead of it. Lapis blue eyes widened, feeling the familiarity before his mind had finished sorting through his memories to identify him. And then it clicked. A slow, disbelieving smile spread across his face as the man approached. "Getou!" Such a relief, a balm on his soul it was to see a familiar face that he had to stop himself from embracing Getou fully. Instead his hand lifted to clap down on the one on his shoulder and he swallowed a rising lump in his throat. He'd half thought back then he'd dreamed the whole ordeal- might have continued to had he not received Garuda's blessing. Upon awakening in that wagon it had taken him a while to recognize those woods. It wasn't until they'd ridden past the spot in the shroud where they'd fished together that it started to sink in. He was back in that dream-world. When no one he asked seemed to know the name 'Suguru Getou', and without the faintest idea of how to search for him, Noctis had turned his attention to the various tasks and missions assigned to him. One lead to another and now he was somewhat more comfortable in Eorzea than he had been. But there was more to the world than that and he knew it was going to take more than a few weeks to adjust. And while he'd made friends and acquaintances along the way- seeing Getou here and now made his heart swell. Maybe this wasn't some bizarre afterlife.
"Ah- yeah, sorry. Of course I am." He squeezed the hand on his shoulder again as if to convince himself it as really there. "It's just been.. a lot." He really should tell him. He should tell somebody. Keeping the knowledge to himself all this time made him feel as though he might be going just a a little mad. Getou already knew quite a bit about him anyway and had supported him through one of his most difficult trials. Even the short amount of time they spent together had been valuable. "...sooner? Really? How long has it been?"
Noctis blinked and idly waved away a passing cloud of gnats. The Shroud had no shortage of them. For him, time had lost all sense. He'd gone on to be tested by four more astrals since he'd returned to Eos from this place, the last of which heralded prior to then unimaginable loss. That was shortly followed by a ten year internment in the Crystal which had felt more like an eternity as he relived the ages of his lineage. The world he left behind, and the one he awoke to- said goodbye to- they were not the same. But now that he was back here, it was as though nothing had changed. The sun still shone, the skies were still blue. Getou still wore that same handsome, enigmatic smile. It was jarring to be sure, but not unwelcome.
Noticing the thoughtful way his friend was looking him over, Noctis had to wonder what he would see. Was the time that had passed for him visible behind his eyes? He'd noticed some subtle differences on his own when he looked in the mirror. Beyond his youthful features, his posture had straightened, become more confident. There was a resoluteness and maturity to his gaze that hadn't been there before. His free hand wandered up to scratch his own jaw where the beard had grown in before and was now missing. Would another ten years have to pass for it to fill out again? What clues to his past were on display? "It's really good to see you man", he said at last, not wanting to get too deep right away and unsettle his companion. His hand withdrew with a reluctance. He hadn't realized how dearly he missed casual touch between friends. Gladio's big arm slung around his neck, Prompto's playful slaps, Ignis's reassuring hand on the small of his back. How he'd taken those things for granted til they were gone. Chuckling to himself at the fond memories, he gave Getou's shoulder a light slug and then returned his hands to his sides. They curled into fists at the absence of warmth and his throat tightened.
When had being secretive ever really served him. When he kept his innermost thoughts to himself until they boiled over who had benefitted? And when had this man, even having only known Noctis for a short time, been anything but earnest? Would Noctis pave over new ground with old habits that only ever complicated things? ...No. Not this time. "...Actually. A lot happened since we met. Like.... a lifetime? kind of? I'm not sure where to start." But he did want to start. "Should we talk as we go? Looks like we're headed in the same direction." He glanced past him at the catacombs, recalling the thrill he'd once gotten coming through old ruins with his friends. Maybe that was a sign.

tucks a blanket gently around the other person's shoulders
Noctis stirred in his folding chair, curled awkwardly in the canvas with his arms and legs tucked against his chest, one hand clutching his phone. He'd fallen asleep playing King's Knight instead of following the others to bed, having assured them he'd got to bed soon. That has been two hours ago.
The once lively, crackling fire had died down to dimly glowing embers that cast a warm pulsing light on the young king's face. When the blanket was draped over him, his eyes fluttered open, looking like deep inky pools in the dark. He smile faintly and rubbed at one, yawning wide. "Mnn... 'time is it?"

Ἑρμῆς__An extant role in extant circumstances, the fear of solitude while living in its mire made this day something of an unfortunate culmination; He wasn't normally so burdened by it, but there was no one else for thousands of years besides his mentor that seemed to comprehend his befuddled thoughts. So to be asked to see the loss as an opportunity for himself, to celebrate what he struggled not to perceive as abandonment was almost too much. Eons of creative liberty taken for granted, life wrought by passive means, only to be found wanting and discarded as though they had no comprehension of their own existence, like unwanted ink on unwanted parchment. He discussed it with them, of course, pleaded, bargained - there were none who saw it his way, not on Elpis, so he presumed that he was the one flawed. It was a terrifying notion, as flaws were discarded. Like many of the creations around him, he could not thrive. And unless it was he who fought for a second chance, none were given. Even so, capitulating was far more painful, so he sought refuge in the stars. Somewhere, up there, far, far away - something like 'happiness'. He hoped so dearly that they could find it. Starburst emerald cast itself downward, now, towards the shimmering flora that slowly cast themselves in bitter shades as he stood among them. They responded to this familiar, as well - another point against himself, for he could still only relate to phenomena, but still - it was a balm.
"I tried to ensure the weather would be clear tonight, but it seems as though a few rogue elementals may be causing some mischief."
Breaking the silence himself, quiet tenors raising along with his gaze towards the heavens, noting the presence of clouds that should, by all accounts, not be there.__🪽
Noctis raised his eyes to the heavens, grey and cloudy like the color of the flowers, named for their home. It was easy to forget that they were actually inside a facility now, so vibrant and lifelike were their surroundings. He wondered if the stars concealed above would mirror the skies he's grown so familiar with or if they would glimmer with foreign, ancient fire long since burnt out. Would Eos have been among them? He swallowed, thinking of the yearning in Hermes' eyes as he pondered the existence of other worlds, and what their inhabitants must strive for. A helpless shrug returned the lament of hazy skies "Nature is unpredictable right? It's not your fault." He gave the overseer a half smile as he knelt by the patch of flowers, reaching out a hand so that his fingers stopped just shy of the shimmering petals. "Even in a place like this, I guess. I think that's kinda beautiful. So what does the expert say should we do about it?”

Noctis scoffed and leaned back in his folding chair, flicking his unwanted broccoli stem into the dying fire. "Maybe I'm allergic. You don't know." A beat. "No, probably not. ...Still not gonna eat it though."
