Random idea I have:

Janus using Remus as a replacement for Virgil AND Roman…

Like him and Remus playing games and scheming like him and Virge used to and gossiping with Remus and having Remus make him things like Roman would. Idk if Janus would be fully aware that he’s doing it, just subconsciously expecting and wanting Remus to be like them in little ways and getting frustrated when he doesn’t act “right”

I don’t think Remus would be oblivious  to it either, like deep down he knows Janus wants him to be a better side but people have wanted him to be like Roman since forever so he’s kind of just used to it. And sure it stings that the person you’re closest too only got close to you to make himself feel better but sometimes that’s just life. Besides Remus clearly is desperate for attention (good or bad) and although he can get negative attention from anyone I’m sure it’s nice to get positive attention from someone…even if he knows he’d rather be giving his time to someone else.

one time thomas said that roman represents his “more feminine” side of himself, which makes the idea of remus as roman’s “funhouse mirror” soooo interesting to me

bc i feel like roman is stereotypical “princess” feminine, frills and glitter and “omg boys!!!” and singing cute disney songs, a doe eyed optimist that is so innocent they toe the line of naivety

which could make remus the comparison of what people call “dark feminine,” enraged, bloody, not afraid to scream about sex and murder and rape, able to prey on people’s biases + ignorance to make something truly horrifying. unapologetically loud, taking up space, seeing the filth of the world and refusing to look away, reveling in challenging societal expectations then laughing as they break them.

they ARE both his “feminine” side, but one is content to be aurora and the other is thrilled to be maleficent.

On my TikTok I’m doing a little thing where I make what I think the sides would have each other as in their contacts. I’ve only done 3 parts so far, and I wanted to share my personal favorite ones I’ve made so far. First picture is what Virgil has for princey, the next three are from Roman’s phone, and the last two are from Pattons.
