I feel like I need to be honest and say that, for the time being, this blog needs to go on hiatus.

Most importantly: I am not falling out of love with Starker, I want to clarify that. I’ve actually become involved in a long-spanning Starker RP that I love to pieces and is showing no signs of slowing down.

I am, however, very, very busy lately. So much has changed in my life and not just the tough things everyone is dealing with right now- I somehow managed to get my Associate’s Degree, meaning I’m moving on to more commitments with college, and I’ve been employed as an essential worker throughout the entirety of the you-know-what since early this year. Things have been hard and hectic but rewarding and rejuvenating at the same time.

And while I could just as easily set up a queue for this blog, that feels so dishonest of me. I’ve taken pride in reblogging things here while tagging not just for orderly blog maintenance, but to give the posts that captured my interest unique responses based on how I was feeling in the moment as my way of showing support to content creators. I don’t want to merely queue up a line of posts and just forget about things here, letting my reactions be set to autopilot.

But with all of this said, I’m truly thankful to the people I’ve interacted with here. Despite bumps in the road, the inclusivity (by this I mean in terms of kink and YKINMK but being respectable about it) and unwillingness to back down to antis is something I’m always going to admire here.

Prompt where peter calls tony his name instead of pet names to see Tony’s reaction

Normally, when Peter goes to address Tony he says: Babe, Smartie, Hot stuff, Handyman. He could go on.

Basically, anything besides Tony's actual name goes. It's something he never really noticed until recently.

That when he goes to get his boyfriend's attention the word at the tip of his tongue is always some sappy petname.

He wonders if Tony's noticed this at all. And how Tony will react when he doesn't use a petname. Or if the older man will react at all.

Peter walks into the living room. Tony's sitting on the couch, laptop in lap, coffee in hand.

And Peter goes for it, "Tony."

The reaction is immediate. Tony's head snaps up, brows furrowed. They look at each other for a long moment.

"Are you... okay?" Tony asks slowly.

Peter smiles, "Yeah. Why?"

"Something seems... off," Tony says. His chocolate eyes shine with confusion. It's adorable.

Peter says, "Don't worry about it, Tony, nothing's wrong."

"See? That makes me think you're gonna like... poison my coffee or something."

"What?" Peter asks with faux innocence, but he's sure his uncontrollable smile gives him away.

Tony says, "The name. That name thingy. You seem mad."

"I'm not mad," Peter says, "just figured it's more mature."

Tony shakes his head, "No, no. Never do that again. Very bad. Very, very bad. Do not like."

Peter giggles and sits next to Tony, cuddling up into his side.

"If you insist, honeybun, sweetheart, love of my life," Peter giggles.

Tony smiles, "Much better."

They shared kisses within their four walls, rolled through the blankets and pillows of their bed for need of satisfaction, and they held each other in their arms day and night, just not to lose each other. They honored each other like a king honors his jewels and they appreciated each other like villages appreciate their warriors. They loved each other. They loved each other more than anything else. They had only one problem that could destroy their whole relationship. Peter was too young and Tony too old.

"I'm afraid they might give you trouble... arrest you... They'll never believe I wanted it all.. the one between us, that I love you. They won't believe it and I hate that thought," mumbled Peter, his hand buried in the man's hair and tears in his eyes.

"I don't want you to be caught in the bad light of the press... to be branded as my toy. I love you Peter and I don't want people to think badly of you just because I can't keep my hands off you," Tony replied calmly, stretching his legs tiredly across the whole couch, his head in Peter's lap. He didn't want this to end, but it had to, they both knew that.

"What if we just never never never make it public and just stay in our little bubble," the boy asked frantically, getting Tony to sit up.

"At some point we get caught and then it's much worse. Except if I lock you up here and never let you go." He laughed, bent over and pressed his lips to the other's.

"As far as I'm concerned, you can chain me up somewhere forever and ever and never let me go. I love you Tony, please don't let them keep us apart." He held his arms loosely around the man's neck, afraid to let go.

"We're gonna make it, together, okay? I'll talk to Rhodey. Maybe even to Steve, I don't know." He seemed desperate, running his fingers through his hair and generally mentioning Steve. Pure desperation.

Some more kisses and touches, before Peter had to go home again. Tears ran down his cheeks, he didn't want to leave him, not now. He wanted to stay with him forever. And Tony promised him that he would hold him in his arms for hours tomorrow and not let him go.

I’m just saying that, as we all know, the avengers are shit friends because they really don’t care about Tony going insane or if he is ok hence why he exploded like he did in Civil war.

Anyway, I think Peter totally had some words for everyone after finding out everything that had happened to tony

And it probably went a little like this

So Peter’s got them on a big zoom call or something so they can see just how furious he is.

“No no. Shut the fuck up all of you. Serious shut up. Do you here yourselves??!! YOU ARE MAKING EXCUSES FOR BEING HORRIBLE FRIENDS!!!”

“Peter how would we have known?” Probably Steve. Steve you ignorant slut (office reference. Don’t come for me)

“Oh I don’t know. ITS SEEMS PRETTY OBVIOUS TO THINK THAT HE WOULD OF GOTTEN SOME KIND OF TRUAMA FROM ALMOST SUFFOCATING IN SPACE!! OR MAYBE BEING CRUSHED BY HIS OWN HOUSE AND SENT INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN?!! what the fuck is wrong with you all!” Peter is totally sobbing and shaking from how furious he is.

They probably make excuse of how could they have known. They shouldn’t be expected to take care of him and such and such.

Peter would just straight scream. Just. Scream. As loud as he can. Just letting out how fucking angry he is. Then he would just quietly say.

“He has risked his life every single time to protect this earth. To protect your lives. You are his friends. The whole point of friend is to ask if he is ok. Not to fall asleep when he venting to you. Not to kick him out when he’s clearly afraid to close his eyes at night. And certainly not lie to him for years and years and leave him to die in the cold...”

They would just all be quietly and extremely guilty.

“I used to look up to you guys. It’s disappointing to see that you value you a title more than you do your friend. I expect you to change your behaviour or I will forcefully shame you infront of the entire world.”

Peter would then hang up and go down to Tony’s lab. He’d walk in like nothing happened and hug tony from behind, leaning over his shoulder and kiss him on the temple as he worked as his desk.

“How you going, handsome?” Peter would say sweetly and tony would just happily explain how his new contraption would work.

Peter let out a yawn as he rested his head on his hand, willing the last five minutes of his work day to be quick.

His first summer as a college graduate and he was stuck working at a medical supply company. He wouldn’t mind it so much if he was doing something interesting, data entry didn’t exactly get his juices flowing. But, it paid pretty decently and it was only for a few months. Come September he’d officially be starting his internship at AEROFLEX, the hugely successful engineering company (where his Aunt Pepper just happened to be the CEO, though she’d informed him she’d had no involvement in the selection process) and then he’d finally be starting his life properly.

Eventually, five o’clock rolled around and he was gone before he could be stopped. As he was walking to the subway MJ sent him a text informing him she was away for the weekend visiting her girlfriend (who Peter, despite many requests, had yet to meet) and helpfully reminded him not to burn down their apartment while she was away. Peter would take offence to that, but the dishcloth on the stove incident two months stopped him (who knew twirling it around while dancing in the kitchen would be so dangerous?).

Maybe he wasn’t as intimidating as he thought.  He was doing his best, but the kid didn’t seem to be buying it.  Maybe the truth was showing – this kid, this complete unknown, was performing hacking stunts on a dare that put one Tony Stark to shame.  This was the kind of kid Tony would have fallen hard for back in his no-one-actually-DARED-me-to-crack-the-Pentagon-firewall I-just-dared-myself days.

He was practically falling for the kid now.  Which was a problem. 

First, because the kid was barely legal.  And second,  because he had successfully hacked into JARVIS which was supposed to be impossible.  As far as he could tell, it was STILL impossible.  Which meant he needed answers from this kid, and this kid wasn’t giving them over.

“JARVIS is SI property, you realize that, right?”  He gave his best glare.  But nothing seemed to faze this kid, not the abduction, not the black room, not the fact that the kid was alone and there were 12 men between him and the nearest exist.  Those huge brown eyes weren’t even defiant.  

They were just… unimpressed.

And that was driving Tony nuts.

“That should concern you, because SI still holds weapon’s contracts with the Federal Government.”  A bluff, of course, since his announcement that SI was no longer in the weapons business was legendary, but he was counting on the kid to be more interested in the tech than in his technical relationship with the government.  

Still, nothing.  

Dammit, who was this kid?  Tony never had this level of chill at this age, and he was Howard Stark’s son.  This kid was a beauty, but there was something else.  Something he knew and Tony didn’t…

“It matters because SI is a Federal Contractor.  Which means your sophomoric hackjob was a federal offense.  Are you ready to deal with FBI?”

“I’m sorry… “ 

The angel’s voice was like honey.  It would have been distracting if it hadn’t been so damn infuriating.

“…but… are… are you my bad cop or my good cop?  I can’t quite tell…”
