Soulmate AU where a small tattoo like symbol appears, but only appears when your soulmate has been born. Each individual has their own unique symbol, unique to them and their soulmate.Â
Tony grew up with his mom and dad who werenât soulmates. Howard was a raging prick, and Maria would often make Tony promise that heâd only settle for his soulmate. It wouldnât have been such a problem, but Tony never got his soulmark. Most people are already born with theirs; If they arenât born with a soulmark, then it usually appears in the first few years of life. Statistics show that if someone hasnât had their soulmark show up in the first 10 years of life, then the chances of them ever getting one drastically decrease.
Tony gets older, and his soulmark never appears. All his peers get one. Though, his mother comforts him, her kindness feels hollow when he can see the disappointment clear as day in her eyes.
And Tony grows to resent soulmates. Grows to resent the whole system that revolves around soulmates. He becomes hypersexual, fucks with people and forgets them the next day. The universe didnât want to give him a soulmate? Fine, he didnât need one.
He got older, his mom died with sadness in her eyes. Sad that she never got to see her son live up to his potential. Tony pretended to care less than he did. Because he cared so much.
Everything got duller after his parents died. His drinking habit became a full blown addiction, his hypersexuality only became more intense. Everything to avoid the sharp pain of never being enough.
But Tony remembers when it happened, a warm night in August. He was partying, clubbing - had been all day, going on all night. He was wasted on some cheap liquor in some seedy club full of seedier people.
Despite everything from that night being a hazy, neon blur, he remembers vividly the warmth that wrapped around his wrist. When he examined it, it was a mark. The tattoo-esque mark his mother had anticipated for years. A soulmark.
He had a soulmate.
It was August 10th, 2001 when his soulmate was born. And he was 31 years old, in some club drunk on something surrounded by a group of hedonistic assholes just as lowly as himself. And he truly had no idea what to do from there.Â
So he lied. He covered it. He wore long sleeved blazers, and strategically placed watches. He was careful to ensure no one saw the mark that proved he wasnât unlovable.Â

Meanwhile, in Queens.
Peter is born on August 10, 2001 happy and healthy. Heâs set to have a good life with loving parents and a stable household, when the plane crash happens. Heâs far too young to understand the true gravity of it.
He lives with his Aunt and Uncle from then on. Soulmates, love at first sight. Ben and May, who were so perfect for each other that it made the insurmountable grief just a little easier to handle.
Peter had been lucky enough to be born with a soulmark. He had known love from the moment he was born. And was eager to share his heart with a soulmate. He had heard of people born without soulmarks, people who never got a soulmate. Or, perhaps worse in a way, people who did have a soulmate, but never crossed paths with them.
Though, rare, Peter was petrified heâd be so unfortunate. And his fear ramped up in intensity when his beloved Uncle passed suddenly and tragically.Â
One moment, Ben and May were in the kitchen; They were singing along to some lame love song. The next, Ben was gone.Â
May and Peter handle it the best they can. But, when Peter stares at his soulmark he feels nothing but fear anymore. What is the point in having a soulmate. Someone given to you by the universe, only to have them ripped away as suddenly?
He wears sweaters that cover his soulmark, bracelets that hide it from view. He feels nothing but fear when he looks at it. A soulmate is just another person for Peter to lose.
-
It truly is a stroke of fate that they meet. A poor, charity case from Queens, and an eccentric billionaire with a wild streak. There arenât many circumstances where people like them can meet.
Peter is working for Oscorp. His title is something fancy, but heâs basically a glorified assistant.Â
There had been an excitement in the air amongst the workers, but Peter hadnât cared enough to ask why.
Itâs when he bumps headfirst into Tony Stark, does he realize what the hell everyone was so hype about.
Tony is more mellowed out, and helps Peter up. He grabs Peterâs wrist, because Peter is as wobbly as a newborn fawn. When Tony looks, he sees the briefest glimpse of Peterâs wrist, of the mark on it.
He stares at it, it is identical to his own. Which would mean theyâre soulmates.
Tony feels his heart beat out of his chest. Peter gently pulls away from Tony and mutters out a quick, bashful apology.
Peter hasnât caught on.
peter is always thinking of mr. stark these days. he canât help it, there are signs of the billionaire practically everywhere around him. in chemistry they learn about mr. stark and vibranium. he texts ned and mj and may from his stark phone. the masked suit he wears nearly everyday was hand designed and built by mr. stark. his room is plastered with avengers and iron man posters. he calls as often as he can find an excuse for, but thereâs always that nagging feeling that heâs just some annoying kid to the genius.
little does peter know that tony thinks of him just as often, if not more. tonyâs practically obsessed these days, watching every clip of spiderman on the internet on loop, tracking the kids grades, listening to each and every voicemail peter leaves after a safe nights patrol. heâs invented a lot of impressive things, things heâs incredibly proud of, but heâs never really known what heâs supposed to do with his life. iron man is a great fit, sure, but the suit and danger and sacrifice has been taking its toll on him. but as he sits behind his desk watching peter through the baby monitor protocol, talking to friday about ways to reasonably get the kidâs aunt to agree on another âstark internship tripâ, he realizes that this is his purpose. tonight when peter calls after his patrol, tony answers
I have soooo much affection for fics where Tony's love language is being a creepy stalker<3
He uses the Baby Monitor like a home TV, constantly watching it. There's a sensor in the Spider-Man suit that lets him known Peter's vitals every time he puts it on.
Eventually he gets Peter a new phone and a watch or maybe a bracelet - something he'll keep on all the time, so that Tony can always use the tracker to check where he is.
Honestly, he probably goes through Peter's phone too. Social media, chats, gallery. He has Friday save all messages Peter types, even the ones he dosen't actually send. He dosen't care about privacy he want's to know everything about his boy.
(Peter knows and is thrilled that his crush likes him back.)
Peter: Did you just cum inside me?
Tony: First of all, you called me Daddy so I thought you wanted kids.
There's like ten years between the two versions of Tony (can't choose won't choose đđ the older is more accurate I guess )
Oh lorddddd I missed drawing them so much,, I'm super busy, but I finally made time to draw them as a belated 'birthday gift' to myself đĽšđ

breaking news: i just added the tortured poet department to this quiz AND i gave it a little face lift since itâs somehow four years old??

updated descriptions of every album are below the cut!
Peter telling Tony he âonly has a body count of 2â, and Tony not wanting to judge but freaking out about who Peter killed and how he can hide the evidence. When Peter asks Tony the same, and is told, with great seriousness that âI lost count after 1000, kid, I donât like to think about itâ â Peter ALSO freaks out, because how can he compare to that?
Somehow this misunderstanding lasts weeks, with Tony desperate to work out where Peter hid the bodies and angsty that the kid hadnât asked for Tonyâs help in the first place. FRIDAY finally has to step in and explain it to them both and theyâre both so relieved â until Tony works out that that means Peter slept with other people and stifles the urge to make those fuckers fit to the original definition of âbody countâ, and until Peter realizes that âlost count after 100â isnât much more reassuring.
saw this meme on twitter and had to doodle them
another thing idk if i will finish i just felt like painting something moody
"Are you fucking serious?" Rhodey bellows at Tony with an exasperated expression on his face, his lips downturned into a scowl. Tony sighs and presses his fingers against his temple, this is why doesn't open up.
"Yes, Platypus, I am serious."
"He's a fucking kid! He's what- seven? You're telling me you're fucking a seven year-"
"He's seventeen, Sourpatch," Tony says tiredly, he just had to open his mouth and babble about his genius and pretty barely-legal secret boyfriend, didn't he?
"That doesn't make it better! You don't even know him enough! What if he's just a fucking gold-digger who wants your money and will suck you dry and-"
"I know him enough," He said coldly, one thing he'll never tolerate is other people looking down on Peter, "he's fucking impetuous and daring, a little too bold and way too stupidly fearless! He makes me eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He took away my alcoholism! He makes me sleep almost eight hours a night! He takes care of me and if he sucks me dry, it ain't my money he's sucking dry, Sourpatch, and if you can't respect Peter, then I'm sorry, man. But that kid is my life now."
Rhodey stood frozen, jaw slacked as he stared at Tony before sighing, "when do you ever listen to anyone, anyway?" his bestfriend looks away from him, "I want to meet him personally, give him the shovel talk, then I'll decide if I like this Peter Parker."
"You already know him," Tony says quietly as he takes a sip from the tea Peter had bought during his weekly grocery runs for Tony.
The Colonel frowns, "I don't think I've met him yet-"
"You met him, two years ago, in Leipzig. You even asked me how old he was."
Rhodey's jaw dropped, "Spider fucking man?!"
Tony smirks, "Spiderman."
